Summary: 100 Mbps and Really Easy Setup
Review: Don't you just love when plug n play really works the way that it is supposed to? It took all of two minutes to pop this reliable performer into my WinXP machine. XP immediately recognized it upon bootup; I didn't even need to use the driver CD that came with the card. Performance since then has been exactly what I expected with no hiccups. PROS

Summary: Does NOT work with certain POGO games
Review: I had no problems with this until I became a POGO.com player. The games from EA sports sponsored by Pogo have compatibility issues. The pogo website says 3-com and D-link cards do not have these issues. Wish I knew that when I bought it. Dan

Summary: Only ONE annoying thing
Review: At the end of the installation (which took me an entire 7 minutes) I sat down to fill in the warranty card which asks for the serial number which is ONLY printed on the unit itself. That was VERY annoying. But otherwise the instructions were clear, the installation a SNAP (i mean, my 72 year old mother could have done it, and she's still nervous about the VCR!)the software set up was easy and the performance has been great.

Summary: Incredibly cheap and works well
Review: Picked this up at a local store and glad I didn't pay more for another brand. I got it for my dad who's finally going DSL. Installation was a breeze in his Win98 system. The package already comes with the latest drivers for the various flavors of Win95 and Win98, and if you use WinXP, the OS already has the drive for this card built-in, so it's pure plug-n-play. Just install the card in a PCI slot, turn on your computer, and maybe install the driver (depending on the OS version), and you are all set. Compatible with DSL and cable modems. This is one excellent value.(There's a wire for the "wake-on-LAN" feature. I don't have a LAN, so don't know if it actually works.)

Summary: nothing special
Review: Haven't had any compatibility or driver problems with it, however I haven't noticed anything special about it that makes it worth the extra price over the under [money] generic LAN cards that I also use on my home network. Most new computers come with onboard ethernet anyway so check your computer before you buy this to see if you actually even need it. There's probably a plug around back (if you bought your computer in the last 2 years) that looks like a really big phone cord plugin - that's for a cat-5 (RJ-45) ethernet cable to plug into and that should be all that you need to connect to your router/hub/cable modem.

Summary: Great card... ?
Review: I had a CNet network card before and got terrible network performance. Then I decided to switch to these linksys cards, and they worked like a charm. Coupled with the linksys 5 port workgroup switch home networking is a breeze. So why did I give it 4 stars? I wanted to use the Wake-On-Lan feature of the card, since my old CNet had it. But when I got the new linksys card, the WOL was only through a feature called PME (Power Management Event), whereas the CNet (and other cards) provide a WOL cable that connects to the motherboard. The linksys card did not provide for this cable. Also, the card is version 5.1 but keeps appearing as version 4 in Windows XP.

Review: I recently purchased two LNE100TX NICs...after just three months, one of the NICs is no longer functioning. Spend a little extra money and get a reliable NIC of decent quality.

Summary: Doesn't crash my computer
Review: For 7 months I was using USB to connect my cable modem to my computer and at least 3 times a day my computer would crash. Well, finally, after so many months later, Microsoft's crash analysis error report eventually figured out it was the USB driver for the cable modem. So, I called my cable ISP and they suggested I use the Ethernet connection. I looked around and found the Linksys LNE100TX ver 5.1 at a great price, after all the rebates, and picked one up. I have to say I'm glad I did. Now, I don't use it for networking it is just to connect my computer to my cable modem. It simply works beautifully and my computer hasn't crashed for weeks. You're getting a great product at a nearly nothing price.

Review: so far i have not had any problems at first i was kinda like i don't know about opening up this pc so i started looking for a usb ethernet thingy but i never found one that was winXP compatible.anyway i installed it winXP detected it, did not have to use the driver disk, set up my dsl stuff and BAM! i was surfing the net at blazing speed!

Review: A Decent card for the price. This is one of the FEW products I will use by the linksys people. Thinking of buying an internet "router" (internet connection sharing gizmo) by linksys? think again.. go buy one from NetGear. I bought two of these cards for spare machines. When the chips are down you're far better off with either an Intel 10/100 Pro+ or 3COM 3C905 card instead.
