Summary: Great router and firewall for this price range
Review: I have used this product for about 6 months, and never have any problem with it. It was very easy to setup and configure. The best feature is the built-in NAT firewall. Since I have this product installed in my home network, I have not recieved any of those annoying pop up message boxes, and I don't see unknown programs running in my task manager anymore. I highly recommand this to anyone who wants to have a secure home network.

Summary: No longevity
Review: this router is attractive due to its feature set and low price.. however the quality is lacking, and the consensus seems that the router will die on you sometime after 1 year, if not sooner.. mine has just died after 1 1/2 years

btw the way it "died" is that 2 or 3 of the LAN ports don't work properly anymore, and the WAN port seems dead too, as the router will reset randomly during file transfer

it was great while it lasted, but I can't recommend it because of the short life span

Summary: Easy to set up and use!
Review: I purchased this product a week ago and came today. It only took me about 3 minutes to set everything up and it was running smoothly! I now share my DSL internet connection with 4 other computers. I've been through about 5 routers and I would say this is the best router I have ever used. I would highly reccomend it. No problems here.

Summary: Linksys support poor
Review: Took me 8 phone calls to help set up two computers. Support agents not too good at troubleshooting.

Summary: Great, Simple Networking
Review: This product is fantastic for a home or SMALL business application where simplicity and reliability are absolutely essential. This was my first stab at building a basic home network and this product has performed flawlessly. Buy it, it works!

Summary: The best SOHO router on the market
Review: Everything in the editor's review is true. From more than 20 routers I've installed and recommended only two failed during the warranty period and none after the warranty has expired. The first one failed one of the ports - that happened after many hot plug-ins and plug-outs, so I cannot blame it on the manufacturer. The second one failed its firmware - it initially had problems with the firmware.
I like it so much, that I even bought the LinkSys cable modem and the 8-port switch that use the same box design as the router and they stack nicely.
Excellent product for its market niche and price!

Summary: Don't try others!...
Review: This is the best router in the market. Why? Because I am using it since day 1 (back in year 2000) when I have my Broadband connection. I have NO problem at all with it. If you find that your connection is down, it's not this router (and it must be the service provider based on my past experience... true every time). I have friends who bought other brands and they have problems with it. One of them cannot watch stream video because it goes to buffer every 5 seconds (how does he know it's the router? because he connected directly to the cable modem with no problem). I won't spend time to write this if it's not worth the time.

Summary: Great
Review: Really plug and play. Easy to follow instructions that are unneded because is so easy to set up. Just plug in and forget about. Robust, never have a problem with any of the three that I have set up (two at the office and one at home). Not even when a storm burned the cable modem at home, the router survived unharmed. It offers so many options to configure, if you need to. And finally, it became a hardware firewall.

Summary: Works well, until it stops working...
Review: If you've been reading through these reviews you know what it is coming next. Set-up is a snap, performance is great, but watch out when the warranty expires because you'll be in the market for a new router within a couple months. First port 2 failed, then port 1 developed a conflict with either port 3 or 4, and became inoperable. I have a four-computer home system, so I need all the ports. Now I'm shopping for a new one.

If you are happy with the idea of essentially renting this equipment for 12-15 months and then replacing it, this is a good system. Otherwise, look elsewhere.

Summary: Plug and play....
Review: This is the best cable/dsl router I have come accross. Basically a plug and play operation, with more options than I find necessary. Plugged it in, power rebooted everything, and it's been working without a hitch for over a year now. The firewall is an added bonus, and so necessary in todays world.
