Summary: Does the job! No Problems!
Review: I dont know what to say, but that this Linksys product does the job. No problems! I would recommend this to anyone that is looking to setup a wireless network! Only thing is that, it doesnt have a good signal range for wireless notebooks. You move a few feet away from the router, and you loose @ least 20% of signal. Works perfectly with the Linksys Signal Booster, I bought that, and regained strong signal anywhere in my house!

Summary: all's well so far
Review: I received this router as a replacement for a faulty 2wire Home PNA router given to me by my ISP. It was not difficult to set up but I could see how a networking novice might find the instructions a bit obscure and confusing. I was very impressed that the signal from the unit is strong from the basement where it is set up to my laptop two floors up. I used a Linksys USB wireless adapter to hook up my kid's computer and it worked quite easily. So far, so good.

Summary: Great deal!
Review: I'm a Mac user (iBook running OS X 10.2.5) connecting to the 'net over DSL. I found this router quite easy to configure. I've been using it for a couple of months now with nary a hitch. The best thing about it is that it costs about a third the price of one of Apple's Airport base stations. That's the great thing about standards (in this case, 802.11b), we Mac users get to take advantage of the greater level of competition on the PC hardware side!

Summary: WORKS LIKE A CHAMP
Review: After ordering this and not opening up the package for several weeks, it took me all of 45 minutes to install this with a hard wire connect to a pc desktop and a Linksys wireless card in a Gateway Solo laptop that my wife has had for about 4 years. The software worked fine on my Win2000 desktop and the WinME laptop. The only disappointment is that in my 1930s two story house, there are several places, including one where I have a desk, that the connection is weak to non-existent. However, on the whole I have no real complaints. Both of us can now email and web browse from our own computers in separate rooms (or outside) at the same time using the same cable connection and that's what I wanted.

Summary: It's good as long as it works...
Review: I have had two of these exact routers now and both of them broke. Both had internal hardware failures and the year warranty just ran out so I'm out of luck. Customer support's only solution was to unplug and plug it back in.

Summary: Works Well
Review: For a relatively straightforward wireless network, this device works well and is a good value. Set-up was fairly simple and I had no trouble getting the device to sync up with my DSL modem. Range was about as expected although, depending on where you locate the access point, it's not going to be as far as indicated on the product packaging. I hooked up a Linksys signal booster with this access point, and now have good coverage throughout the house and even outside on my laptop. For my purposes, 802.11b works fine and the technology is at a price point where it makes little sense to wait if a wireless network is something you've been thinking about trying out.

Summary: Functional with only occasional problems
Review: I have this router connected to a cable modem and wired to one computer, with a wireless connection to a second computer. It works great for routine Internet, file, and printer sharing and was easy to set up with a basic knowledge of networking.Occasionally the router will have trouble, usually following either a change in the network configuration (adding or removing a computer) or a cable connection outage. However, a simple reset of the cable modem, router, and computer usually solves these issues. When I bought this router, 802.11b was the only wireless networking standard around. Now, the advent of 802.11a and 802.11g has taken the spotlight off of 802.11b components. This doesn't mean they are useless. Unless you plan to routinely move large files or directories from computer to computer, or print out photos across the wireless link, 802.11b has all the speed you need. Plus, because it has been around the longest, the bugs have been worked out and it is more trustworthy. When the router or wireless cards do experience problems, Linksys technical support is helpful and can usually resolve problems quickly.

Review: This product didnt work with my Toshiba Cable modem. I called up tech support and the support technician guided me through a router chaining set-up. The tech support is really impressive.

Review: Once I was able to get DSL, I wasted no time getting the wireless Linksys router. It was easy to install and I can't find anywhere in my home where I can't get a decent signal. If you're looking for a wireless router, this is definitely the way to go.
