Summary: Worked great for a while, but then....
Review: I was really happy with the performance of this KVM switch. But after 5 months, it completely quit working. Though it was still under warranty, I had to go through the IOGEAR troubleshooting routine, then FAXed my proof of purchase to get an RMA. I had to ship to reach IOGEAR before my RMA expired, etc, etc. It's way too much time, money and trouble to get it fixed or replaced considering the cost of the item. Should I be looking forward to this in another few months???

Summary: Nice product
Review: I've rarely, if ever, been more pleased with a computer product.
I jest not when I say the hardest thing was extracting it from molded plastic package. Talk about plug and play!

Summary: not good enough
Review: installation was easy, but the video quality has gotten a lot worse than before the install. my collegue bought a belkin 4-ports kvm, and it works beautifully without any video quality degration. well, i guess you get what you paid for.... i do not recommend this product unless you are real tight on budget.

Summary: A great product at any price.
Review: Installs in minutes with no loss of resolution in the monitor at an affordable price. I also love being able to switch between computers by pressing a button on my keyboard rather than messing with the switch itself. Also, the 12ft of cable was long enough for my needs. I couldn't ask for much more. I'm very pleased with this purchase.

Summary: It can be used to share a Linux and a Windows PC also.
Review: It works great if you want to share a Windows PC with a Linux PC also (No drivers to install). To switch between the two computers all you have to do is press twice the "scroll lock" key from your keyboard. That simple.

Summary: Cheap, but works
Review: It's not the largest KVM out there, but it works well for two machines, and for the money, it's an excellent buy. Hooks up in a flash, and works like a charm.

Summary: Even if all your connections are USB.... NO PROBLEM!!!
Review: Like I said once before "I love this thing." I was worried about all my mice (I use a left and a right handed mouse) and keyboard connections being USB, but just purchase the (2)PS/2 to (1)USB "Y" adapters (If you look around they can be had for cheap, but they won't let me say where... Run a few searches)and use the USB to PS/2 plugs that come with new usb mice (or they can be purchased seperatly too... cheap)and this baby should just fire right up!!! It paid for itself in the first hour, and now it's like it is paying me $ an hour every time I use it, because I can do more than triple the amount of work. If you don't get this one, just make sure you get a KVM switch of some kind, and you will be amazed at how your computer life will improve... The best money you will ever spend on your computer...Spend 8 working hours with this switch on your computers and it is like going back in time and gaining 8 hours.

Summary: A use for the Scroll Key at last! 2 Taps and it switches
Review: Like I wrote in the title: A use for the Scroll Key at last! 2 Taps and it switches. That is all there is to learn after you plug in the cables that are part of this KVM switch. Boot up both PCs and just tap the Scroll key twice to instantly switch among your 2 PCs. IOGear has a winner in this 2 PC jewel!
While I was on-line with one PC (with my modem,) I can tap to the other PC, get a file, make a pdf, edit a document, view an mpg, whatever, and then just tap twice and I am back to the first PC that has not lost its internet connection.
Stop reading and just order one ! It works ! !

Summary: Best Investment For The price
Review: Now that I am doing video capture/editing on my new computer I decided to dig out my older P3. This way I could still surf the net and listen to music etc while the AMD is tied up for hours encoding video. I have a small space to work in however so all I needed was a device to allow both computers to share a keyboard, mouse & monitor. Based on the reviews I read here I purchased this item and I have never been sorry. It is excellent in both function and design. And all at a fantastic price. It does exactly what it says.
One bit of advice though. At first this switch wouldn't work correctly, my mouse was the culprit. I was using an older Microsoft Intellimouse. I bought a Logitech optical mouse and all is well.

Summary: doesn't work with IBM Thinkpad
Review: One of my machines is a thinkpad -- am using a y cable to hook it up to the KVM and the mouse doesn't work. It states in the manual that thinkpads may have problems if you hook up both the keyboard and the mouse, but what is the point of just hooking up one or the other? And it would be nice if they told you that before you buy it...
