Summary: Does more than promised
Review: As accurately noted in another review, this uses the rarer MC connector, which is not used by any other brand, as far as I am aware. The airport express uses a similar mcx (sp?) style.

That said, it worked great for me. My transfer speed went from
a sustained 300KB/s to 550KB/s in one application. In another,
it made an intermittent connection into one that was rock solid,
with 50KB/sec throughput. It seems quite sturdy, and has survived two drops so far.

If you haven't bought Buffalo yet, the bet thing is their tech
support - quick to answer 24/7 on a 800 number, and they reps
all speak understandable english on clear lines. Their knowledge
ranges from good to great.

Summary: A little bit of extra signal, but not much more
Review: I bought the Buffalo Tech Wireless Router and this antenna with the idea that the addition of the antenna would increase my range of my network within my home or at least improve the quality of the signal within my home. To that, I would have to say that it was a failure.

I first setup the router alone and configured all my computers to work with it. I have one computer downstairs that has always been a problem, the signal strength just never went above fair. Most times it is listed as poor.

With the new router, I saw no change. Note: I did see a speed increase since my new router 802.11g, the old Linksys is 802.11b.

I hooked up the new antenna and expected to see a change in the signal strength of the machine downstairs. None. I tried relocating the antenna and changing its postion...no change.

If you are looking to improve your signal quality, this might not be the answer as I hoped it was.

Let me say one last thing though, the quality of the router and antenna from Buffalo Tech was high. The setup of both was easy. I would recommend the router, but I can't really justify the cost of the antenna, I saw no real improvement in my home (YMMV).

Summary: Do not consider unless you have AirStation router
Review: This product will only work with other Buffalo Technology AirStation products. So, if you are trying to boost a signal for a Linksys router, etc. then look ELSEWHERE. I bought this to attach to my D-Link wireless router and ended up having to return it.

Comments from a friend of mine indicate that this is a great product and does in fact provide increase signal strength. Just don't buy it unless you've got AirStation router!
