Summary: Easy to install and set up
Review: I bought this for a IMac G5. It took less than 5 minutes to install (open computer case, plug antenna cable into card, slide card in slot, close case, power up). All that was left was to insert setup CD and about 1 minute later my existing wireless network was recognized and available. Reception of the wireless signal appears to be slightly stronger than what I get with my Dell laptop and its card however I have no accurate way to measure.

It does exactly what I bought it for which was hassle free access to my network.

Summary: This card only works on Extreme Mac G4s
Review: I purchased the card, paid the extra charge for overnight deliverly, only to discover my G4 tower was too old to use this card. If you have a G4 made prior Y2003, you will need the non-extreme airport card. The rating stars are N/A in this instance.

Summary: I couldn't be happier.
Review: I recently bought the 12" iBook G4, and had an Airport Extreme card installed at the Apple Store. We didn't purchase a base since frankly, being able to be online from any room in my house would probably be dangerous for my marriage! (we're both such geeks) However, my university and local library system both have WiFi installed and it has been a godsend.
Set up was incredibly easy. My university requests that before any wireless connection is made to their system that you take your laptop in for them to set it up. They warned me how fussy and difficult the process could be, especially since they were a PC based system. But we literally turned it on and. it. worked. It's been the same when using it in the library.

Summary: worth the extra $$
Review: I tried to get away with a cheap USB 802.11a adapter but it didn't cut it. The device would work most of the time, but also caused a lot of undesirable side effects (kernel panics, random disconnects, etc). So I decided to do what was right and invest in the airport extreme card. It installed and configered without any trouble. My now, airport extreme equipped G5, happily connected to my 802.11a Linksys router and things just work. I was glad to shell out the extra cash for something that just works.

Summary: Just wonderful
Review: I was apprehensive about picking up this card because the base station at my place is not the apple station (even though its the same signal, you never know about compatibility for sure.) However, I was surprised to see that not only does my new Powerbook get the signal flawlessly, it actually transfers data significantly faster than my roomie's Toshiba laptop. The physical installation was a breeze, as well as getting the computer up and running. If you are worried about compatability DONT. This is a nifty device to have in your computer and it lives up to all expectations and then some.

Review: It works like it should, well.

Summary: Apple quality comes through again!
Review: My experience with the AirPort Extreme card has simply reaffirmed my faith in Apple. I literally popped the card into my PowerBook (this took all of a minute or two) and when I restarted my computer it was asking to connect to my wireless network. It couldn't get any easier. Reception is great and I've not experienced any of the problems some other Aluminum PowerBook owners have with reception. At the same time I installed this, I also installed a Microsoft wireless card on my girlfriend's Toshiba laptop. It took a good 3-4 hours to get that connected to the network due to driver issues, etc.. If you've got an AirPort Extreme-capable Mac, don't even consider using a PC Card for wireless. This card is the way to go!

Summary: Perfect match for any Mac!
Review: Once again this is teh perfect match for any Mac looking for an etxreme "G" signal. It works with all Mac portables and desktops and in my experince has exceptional range. Thanks to Apple's software the hardware is able to be set to "Use Interferance Robustness." This allows you to send its signal through any wall or through floors. While some PC card adaptors will work with Apple's base and in PowerBooks you can get other wireless cards but this one works the best.
