Rating: Summary: Works flawlessly Review: Belkin's Bluetooth USB Adapter (model F8T003) is an ultra compact Bluetooth USB dongle. It is small enough to let other USB device plug into an adjacent USB port on my Apple PowerBook. At 10 meters maximum range (a bit over 30 feet), it won't let you roam on a large house, but sufficient for most practical purposes.Pros: - Very small and highly portable - Attractive design with blue indicator light - Zero configuration under Mac OS X 10.2 Cons: - The blue indicator blinks very brightly at night - Requires software installation and configuration on Windows platform (not necessarily Belkin's fault but) - Could be a bit thinner for those with tightly-spaced USB ports I have 2 computers, IBM ThinkPad A31 (runs Windows XP Professional Service Pack 1) and Apple PowerBook G4 (runs Mac OS X 10.2.6). Under Apple, the dongle worked without any software installation (and zero configuration). After going through the setup wizard, the Sony Ericsson T68i and PowerBook were in iSyncing heaven. Under Windows XP, however, I had to install the software. And Windows XP does not provide much software support, either (ActiveSync supports only Windows-based PDAs and phones). However, there are number of software available and file exchange works very easily (i.e., uploading wallpaper). All in all, Belkin's Bluetooth USB Adapter is an attractive solution.
Rating: Summary: not a good adapter Review: caused severe system instability and crashes/data loss. I'm pretty experienced with PCs and mine only acts up when I'm using this adapter.
Rating: Summary: Works great connecting my Nokia 3650 to Win XP PC. Review: great widget - within 10 minutes of ripping open the box I was downloading my Nokia 3650 camera full-o-pix to my Win XP PC. It is plugged into a USB port on the back of my PC located under my home office desk and it easily connects from anywhere nearby. IMHO it is an easy install, works as advertised, and it is a brand name product with decent documentation, support, etc.. Doug
Rating: Summary: Disappointing... Review: I couldn't wait to get my adapter, but ended up having to send it back because of all the problems. I'm not sure if I just had lemon or what, but once my Nokia 3650 and Sony T610 were paired (no problems there) I couldn't get any more communication between the devices. I tried this on two different computers, tried Belkin customer service (STILL haven't heard from them!), and finally, in my last ditch effort, looked up anything I could find on the net for help. All to no avail. I just don't have that much time to waste on this! What a disappointment!
Rating: Summary: ummm Review: I give it two stars because it worked very well right out of the box, installed really well everything.... But when I tried to transfer files from my Tungsten T2, it wouldn't let me...I'm sending it back because I got it for that reason, so I didn't have to be locked up on the computer all day, I could go anywhere in my house and work on my palm, but because I can't get it to transfer files, it's of no use...
Rating: Summary: not a good adapter Review: O.k. So the device worked great paired with my Nokia 3650 phone. But.. where it lacked greatly was trying to do ANYTHING with my Tungsten T. (I guess they just don't like Palm devices) I searched for new drivers etc. and was very disappointed to find that I couldn't hotsync or do much of anything with my Tungsten T and this junk device. So, not to be too negative (I'm sure it works fine with most phones and Mac's) but if it doesn't work with a bluetooth compatible device like my Tungsten T.. what's the point?

Rating: Summary: Plug and play on my iMac. Review: The Belkin F8T003 Bluetooth USB Adapter worked for me right out of the box. I set it up on my iMac (using the Mac OS X Bluetooth Setup Assistant) and was up and running in no time at all. Had a flawless connection to my Nokia 3650 cell phone immediately. I can't say how it would work with a PC, but the disc included has software for that purpose. I've been transfering pictures and ringtones back and forth all week. This one gets a big thumbs up from me. Though the flashing blue light could stand to be toned down a notch or two.
Rating: Summary: Good performer for a good price Review: This adapter is easy to set up, works well, and is small and compact enough to use either with desktops or laptops. I would definitely recommend it!
Rating: Summary: I am actually putting my Nokia phone's camera to use! Review: This device installed easily on my WinXP computer. After a few minutes I was putting all my Nokia phone pictures onto my computer. I also uploaded a few pictures into my phone. NICE!! Now my fellow disc partners all want to buy this gadget so they can get their photos of me retrieving my discs from water traps onto their desktops.
