Summary: Build your network (iMAC + PC Dell + Cable Modem) in no time
Review: This is really plug and play, folks. You'll spend more time opening the boxes than what you'll spend setting up the gadgets. I was ready to roll in about 10 minutes. I bought this in conjunction with the Wireless USB adapter, MA101. I connected the router to the iMAC and to the Internet connection. In 2 minutes I was seeing the Internet from the iMac just I used to before I connected the router. Then I went downstairs, plugged the MA101 to the Dell Dimension 2350 running XP, put the MA101 CD, run the "Found new Hardware Wizard" ... voilá! It works!

A minor glitch in the instructions manual though: if you don't choose "Allow me to connect to the selected wireless network ....." it will show that the network is not available.

It took me one minute to troubleshoot so I would still give it a five stars rating, being the first product I have bought in years that works without me calling technical support.

Summary: Perfect Product
Review: This wireless router is stylish and functional -- you'd think it was a Sony. It's a snap to set up, has a great web interface, and natively supports DynDNS. Every option a network dreams of, and even better, the ability to disable those options! Pick one up now.

Summary: Great product
Review: I am running the base unit from a Windows ME operating system and the USB adapter on a Windows XP operating system. The installation on each machine was a breeze and my wireless connection speed, to the second story of my house, is just as fast as if I was connected via cable line.

Summary: Great MR814v2 deal!
Review: For those of you wondering, I know of at least two people (including myself) who received the new version (MR814v2) of this router. The new version is smaller, lighter, and generally has better wireless coverage. The specs page for this item are for the first version, but nevertheless, I got a MR814v2. Make sure you get it, it rocks: easy setup, nice looks, great coverage. (I have five machines: WinXP and Win2K, two wirelessly connected, no hitches)

Summary: Fast and Reliable
Review: Good speed, great connectivity! I have not been disconnected once. With the MA401 card, setup took all of ten minutes. And it looks pretty on your desk.

Summary: Gets me where I'm going
Review: This router gets a thumbs up for me. I've been using it for the past year in my apartment building. I get decent signal strength all the way up to the fourth floor from my apartment on the second, and all the way down the hall in either direction. Every once in a while I have to reboot the device, but it was extremely easy to set up, and has all the features that a home user would need.

Summary: Great value
Review: This router is easy to install and runs great. The speed and reach appear to be excellent. Installation was hassle-free and setup was straigh-forward.

For the price, I believe this is the best in the market.

Summary: Not compatible with Airport Extreme (MR814v2)
Review: Just a word of caution to Mac folks who are using aluminum PowerBooks: the Netgear MR814v2 router is incompatible with Airport Extreme. But it works flawlessly with the older Airport cards. Netgear tech support hasn't gotten back to me yet regarding possible solutions. Might have to exchange the router with a Linksys instead.
