Summary: Great Router
Review: I've had this device for over a month now. It is super user friendly and works great. The range in our house is excellent. You can just plug it in and go, or you can go through set-up to enable encryption, etc... Works GREAT with my Netgear wireless laptop card. I found the range to be much better than the Microsoft products I tried.

Summary: Powerful, User-Friendly, 5-Star Product!
Review: This is how a wireless router should be designed! Compact, stylish design with satus lights that show you exactly what is happening. Very easy set-up, with very good documentation, makes this a great choice for beginners. Robust, Powerful advanced networking features make this an excellent router for professionals as well! Very good range, through walls, and with a "noisy" environment. All around an excellent buy!!

Summary: Great Product, Great Price, Very easy to install
Review: I bought this Router last week from Amazon. It was very easy to install. I have laptop with Windows 2000 prof. and comcast cable as ISP . I just attached this router to cable modem and my laptop, it automatically identified what all things require from ISP and stardted working. I also bought netgear wirless pc card for my laptop.

Summary: life expectancy of <2 weeks
Review: i purchased this router, installed it, and used it for 15 minutes before all the lights went off, and it refused to power up again. i sent it back and got a replacement. the replacement worked for 10 days and then did the exact same thing. the straightforward setup is not worth much if the product is a piece of junk. I would recommend never purchasing this product, and I question the viability of netgear products as a whole

Summary: simple to install easy to use
Review: setup was very simple, plug in the ethernet wires to the router, power it up, configure the other computers with router setup wizard or manually - do this on the primary computer, set security options, router assigns IP's...that's all, start using it.
I had great connectivity to my lappy for about 4-6 rooms down the hallway (worked for me)

moreover the router is light weight, nice design, looks cool, for the price it's a great purchase

Summary: Bad router
Review: I am disappointed with the performance of this router. I have
a small wireless network of three computers with non-netgar wireless cards. This router occasionally hangsup and
then needs to be rebooted.
I have tried upgrading the firmware, disabling WEP. However problem
persists and netgear techsupport is not of any help.

Summary: nice design but shabby perormance
Review: set up was complicated. i say get the d-link 604 router instead. however, if you get a netgear wireless card, it'll get detected automatically.

Summary: Product and technical support - the worst
Review: This router cannot maintain a connection to my cable modem and frequently stops working so I can't access the Internet. My previous router worked fine. Level 1 technical support is handled by workers in another country - so good luck. It took me 1.5 hours of trying to get through and working with them before I found out they couldn't solve the problem. My previous Netgear router (MR314) was much better. This router is more like a toy than a quality component. Do yourself a favor and pass up this bargain.

Summary: try "rescan" to solve lost connection problem
Review: Like some other people, I had problems with lost connections. It would work great for a while, then all of a sudden, it would lose connection.

I tried a lot of things, but the best thing to do (in my case) is to hit the "rescan" button (rescan channel) for my wireless card. It's annoying to have to do that once in a while, but that has always solved the problem for me.

I don't know if the router or my wireless card is to blame (both Netgear).

Summary: Easy Installation, Great reception, but...
Review: Installation was relatively easy, although I had to call Tech Support and had to manually reset the router(If you have connectivity problems, and turning off the power doesn't work, you have to hold a small reset pin near the power button for 30 secs). My other room is atleast 100 ft away, and I get 76% reception, which i think is pretty good..

only problem i have every 2-3 days is, it loses connectivity. I have to power off router, remove all cables, and turn on everything back.
