Summary: Don't waste your cash
Review: I have a Sony VAIO R505 SuperSlim notebook. It's a great notebook. However, I would never buy this matching wireless LAN card. It may work great and match the color of my notebook, but the PRICE! You can get other wireless LAN cards for half the price, and they work equally well.

Don't be tricked into thinking you need a Sony card just because you have a Sony computer. The Linksys and D-Link cards work just as well for half the cash. I use the Linksys WPC11 card, and I got it for 60 bucks.

Summary: One of the best wireless LAN card!!!
Review: I used many different wireless LAN card (Linksys, SMC, and Lucent), and finally I can said this is the best for Sony. First of all, it fully supports Windows XP. The installation is very easy and clear, and it may only takes you less than a minute at your currently wireless network environment. The range and connection quality are very good, and I get pretty stable and good connection even I go over 150 feet in my house at the other floors. For Advance user, you can use this card at different wireless network environment by one click, because the card can support and can be able record multiple access points setting (up to 8). So, it will be easy for you to switch backward and forward from your working wireless environment to your home wireless environment, or even at your friend's houses without any further setup at each time by different network environment needs. By few words to describe this card, I would say "Easy, Simple, Stable, Beautiful, and Wonderful".

Summary: Simply the best experience for me so far...
Review: Started off with the new "g" line of linksys products. Advertised as backwards compatible with the "b" line-after 3 days and two calls to linksys, it will not work with my Linksys Wireless "b" router. Sent back to amazon for refund.

Borrowed a friends US Robotics wireless card, worked good-but even for the mighty Robotics card I was losing connection at different places in the house.
At this point I was becoming a strong hater in notebook wireless cards.
Finally decided to go with the name brand, and low and behold, I have very adaquate wireless now throughout the house and at my university wireless network areas. The card also only sticks out less than an inch from the sony notebook-so now I never have to remove it when I place my notebook in its carrying case.

I've had very good connections at a constant rate and I'm very pleased with this card. I did pay a little more than other cards, but for the convience and peice of mind that its working non-stop for quit some time now, I am glad I did.
