Rating: Summary: My experience with GA-6VTXD Review: Strengths: 1 )Supports FC-PGA2 , Works OK with one CPU . 2) Has one AGP 2.0 Graphic slot 3) Has 5 PCI slots 4) supports up to 2GB DRAM. Weaknesses: 1) The Dual CPU function (2nd CPU)will not support Celeron CPU , The MoBo dual mode only supports the Pentium III that has 512 Kbyte integrated Level 2 cache . 2) AGP 2.0 only supports 1X, 2X . Summary: I like The GA6VTXD because it has 5 PCI slots; 1 AGP 2.0 slot for my Video Card ; Dual CPU mode and supports up to 2 GB Memory .The MoBo also supports FC-PGA2 (Tualatin CPU). I thought it supports Dual CPU for any kind of Celeron or Pentium III . I was wrong , lots of vendors misleaded their customer by not clarify the Dual Mode of GA6VTXD only supports the Pentium III that has (512) Kbyte integrated Level 2 cache . All Celeron CPU are not supported in Dual Mode of this MoBo. There are only few Pentium III CPU with 512 Kbyte Cache in the market ($100-$200 a piece). The AGP slot will not support 4X as it claimed , because of this , I can't upgrade my Video Card . This Mo-board made with VIA chipset KT133A , the Video Card Geforce2 will only works with AGP 1x , 2x with (4x disabled). The VIA website has given out a patch, modify the Regedit to fix the problem but that Patch will never works on GA6VTXD . The GA6VTXD is unstabled with all ATI's RADEON Video Card. I have to set lower the AGP mode in the Bios down to 2x for the ATI's RADEON 9200se 128MB to work , if not , the PC will be frozen. I would not recommend anyone to buy this Mo-Board because of the cost. Two 370 CPU with 512 Kbyte Cache cost you from $200 USD - $400 USD . Mo-Board cost $90 . Why not buy a new 2.6 GHz COMBO MotherBoard with CPU ;400Mhz Bus for less than $200
