Summary: This is a great Minidisc player/recorder!!!
Review: I got this Minidisc player/recorder recently and I couldn't be happier with it! It records easily, and the sound quality is excellent. It's got a sharp look (no pun intended) and is packed with features. Including a remote control, headphones, recharable battery, and excellent menu driven options. My battery lasts a good length of time, but recording can drain the battery something fierce, so i recomend using the included wall outlet. You get what you pay for, and even at that, it's a fairly good price compared to "Fony's" mindisc's. It works as a great alternative to CD-R's becuase there is no need to burn the music onto a disc, you just record as the music plays, just like on a tape.

Summary: I Love it!
Review: It's my first MD player/recorder and it's replaced my CD player. As a mp3 downloader, I can't live without it! I think it's easy to use, but I don't bother with track titles. And I love the size and color. I recommend it to anyone who doesn't want to mess with a CD burner.

Summary: ok price, good md for beginner
Review: I originally wanted the Sharp md 821. ... sold out and never got anymore. So the next affordable md was this one. It records md's and you can listen to them and thats about it. Not many extras. The thing i like about this md is that i can grab a freind's cd player and burn tracks from him. Or just get a cd and record favorite tracks from computer. But what i don't like about it is that after a full recharge the battery only last no more than about 4 hours. If you record without adapter...about 2 hours. Also the paint comes of the remote. It was my first md.Overall i like it alot.It fits in ur pocket unlike bulky cd players.I want something with more features,...

Summary: Very Glad I Purchased This Product!
Review: I purchased the Sharp Minidisc recorder to record all of my Mp3 songs off of my computer. Even after much research did I know that I would be this pleased with it. It records off of stereo's, portabe cd players, just about any electronic that has a headphone jack on it. My nephew recently purchased the Sony md recorder, and he asked me to check it out for him. I kept it a week and was making lots of recordings, and what I found was how user friendly the Sharp minidisc is. The menus aren't hard to read like the Sony md. And even though the sound quality is great, it just isn't the same as the Sharp's features. I was actually considering the same Sony md at one time because of the 'pc link' Well after hooking the Sony recorder up, I found it is actually the same thing as the cord connecting my Subwoofer to the PC. Not much difference. I am very pleased with the Sharp MD-SR60 and I would recommend it to anyone looking to purchase a minidisc or MP3 recorder. For those who purchased this product you don't know how great of a product you have.

PEACE

Summary: Great soud but not durable
Review: I bought my minidisc player about 6 months ago. I do a great deal of travelling and was happy to have something so portable and light to carry with me. However, I found that the sharp MD player is not as durable as many other brands such as Sony. Moving from place to place I found that it was easily susceptible to dust, even with meticulous care. Within two months of being in the environment, my MD player began to skip ad now it works when it chooses to. a co-worker bought a Sony MD about the same time I did. His operated smoothly in this environment in the exact same conditions. The sound is great but be aware if you plan to do more with it than listen to it in your home.

Summary: More Advanced Than CD!!!
Review: I am extremely impressed with my Sharp MD player/recorder. In my opinion, the sound quality is better than CD. The best feature, however, is the ability to edit any recorded tracks. Any track can be erased, divided, combined, labeled, or clipped. The tracks can be recorded to the MD in any order and then re-arranged at your whim. Tracks do not have be recorded in only one session. Tracks can be recorded (added and/or errased) as many times as necessary. This technology is extremely more advanced than any CD player or burner. It is a mystery why the MD technology has not caught on in the USA. I am so impressed with my MD player/recorder that I am seriously thinking of buying another one just like it just in case they go completely off the market here in the U.S. If you want the best that the world of music technology has to offer, buy an MD player/recorder. You will never go back to CD.

Summary: Quality with few drawbacks
Review: First of all, minidisc is perhaps the best new audio technology. The skip-free performance and recording ease of cassette, combined with the quality and capacity and digital advantages of CD. This SHARP unit I got about 7 months ago. It's performed marvelously, and as someone who previously owned an mp3 player (64MB Nomad that I spent $250 on) I must say, good riddance to them. I love being able to use a DVD player and the optical cable to record a direct copy of a CD to minidisc. The digital quality is maintained 100%, and track breaks are in the right places (they're sometimes missed when recording analog, like from mp3's via computer soundcard). The battery life is phenomenal, considering it runs off of ONE NiMH rechargable or AA alkaline... for those who would complain, how long does your CD player last on TWO? Overall, it's a wonderful product that will always be independently useful (it doesn't matter if MiniDisc ever "catches on" because everything you need is in this unit, you just need to be able to buy the discs) and it is a real attention-getter. "What on Earth is that?" the ladies say. I recommend this model completely.

Summary: An Awesome 5-Star Minidisc Player
Review: When I saw this minidisc player at such a fantastic price, I had to buy it from Amazon. It took just 5 days to reach me and I couldn't wait to open the box and fire the sucker up. Everything worked great; it is so easy, yet there are many useful features. Recording is as easy as plugging it in and pushing record. The only thing that could be better about recording with this product is that it only records at one-times speed, which means that if you record a 40 minute CD, it will take you 40 minute to record. But, overall I love this model. I give this Sharp minidsc player 5 stars.
