Rating: Summary: Once you go MD, you'll never go back! Review: I love my Minidisc recorder. The 722 is the best investment I've ever, ever made. I drove from Austin, Texas to Deming, New Mexico and back without this baby skipping even once -- who can say that about a portable CD player? I'm used to carrying a day and a half's worth of music in my backpack -- MD's are that small! The editability features are pretty cool, too. If you have the money -- and don't care that the 722 already has everything you need -- buy the Sharp MT-821. But if you want a cheap, easy way to have all of your music with you in a compact, high-quality format, get the 722. You'll be glad you did.
Rating: Summary: Great Buy--- Much Better than MP3 players Review: I carefully researched all of the minidisc player/recorders under $200. After looking through all the possible player/recorders I chose the sharp 722 because of its great price and features. This player/recorder has all the features you'll find on a higher priced minidisc. The 722, like all minidiscs, has the ability to play Mp3's easily from your computer. It also has a digital input for recording an optical which i found very useful. The only draw back is that it's a little thicker than most MDs but not enough to make much of a difference. With great sound and a good price, this is one of the best player/recorders out there.
Rating: Summary: Great Product Review: This product had all the chi-chis i had wanted and expected, and more. It was worth the money, however it is large and heavy for a minidisk player/recorder. thanks
Rating: Summary: Bigger Than Great Review: I recently bought the sharp minidisc Player and it suprised me; greatly. It is great for recording Mp3's and songs off of Cd's. But one thing about it is it's sort of fat for a mini disc recorder. The rating fits perfectly because every thing else makes up for the thickness. It is also easy to take around instead of a Cd player. Mini discs gets damaged a lot harder than A cd because of the outside case. Tip: If you a Cd recorder and mess up the Cd by putting pauses or space in between. You can clean it up with the MD player. Best portable sound around!

So now Im using another username and you can see the site address in my profile. Click that see more about me link above this paragraph. YOU WILL NEVER REGRET BUYING THIS UNIT!
Rating: Summary: HOLY MOLY THIS THING IS GREAT! Review: The mdms722 is the greatest buy i have ever had. you can record off of almost anything. you can also record off your computer by going to radio shack and buying a simple wire for like 4 bucks. its amazingly easy to use, you don't even need to read the manual. it delivers great bass, and the quality is just as good as cd. if you were debating between a mp3 player and this, get this. you won't be sorry. the jog dial lets you name tracks easy. memory cards for mp3 cards might hold more than a minidisc, but they sure do cost a whole lot more. it has a rechargeable battery, so you don't need to keep on buying more batteries. I REALLY REALLY URGE YOU TO BUY THIS PRODUCT. IT SIMPLY IS GREAT.
Rating: Summary: Great Product! Review: This mindisc player/recorder is awesome! The battery life is extremely long... I only have to recharge it once every couple days, but of course this could change with how much use it gets. The jog dial makes titling very easy, and recording is also very easy. I bought a $10 cable from Radio Shack that lets me record from headphone jacks on other electronic devices, and this allows me to record basically everything I want to. The cable that is included works well with a stereo, but if you want to record from other sources, for example a portable CD player, the other cable is invaluable. I can't really comment on the headphones, as I use my own. From the few times I've heard them, they sounds very good. Also, another excellent aspect of this device is the volume. Many of the minidisc recorders/players don't go very high when it comes to volume, but I have had no problems with this one. All in all, this player/recorder is great. It is very portable (light and small), and I think that anybody who is considering buying a portable music player should buy a minidisc device. The only thing that's missing is the widespread use of these devices. If many people start using them, I think they could be an excellent medium to replace CD's. GREAT DEVICE!
Rating: Summary: GREAT! Review: Better than what I had ever expexted, excelent sound reproduction, you can send music from your computer to this product easily.
Rating: Summary: Very cool product Review: I bought the Sharp MD-MS722 minidisc recorder/player the other day. I must say that I am very satisifed. I wanted to download MP3 files from the internet, and transfer them to my minidisc. The cord provided with the minidisc is RCA type, while my computer output jack was 8 mm. I bought a 8 mm to RCA converter for a couple bucks and it works great. I can now transfer files from my computer to the minidisc and vice versa. I've heard others say the sound reproduction is very good, and I agree. It took me about an hour and a half to learn how to use all the features of it. The layout of the front of the player is a little busy, and may be imposing on someone first trying to use it. But it looks much harder to use than it actually is. You use a "jog dial" (a ring that turns) for a couple different functions. Its a very convenient feature and makes naming tracks a breeze. The use of the other buttons came to me quickly when I used them a time or two. Another nice thing about this unit is how compact it is. It fits right in my pocket, so I don't have to hold it in my hand if I go for a walk. The headphones provided with the unit are extremely basic. If you're used to a pair that is more comfortable or somewhat nicer, you'll need to get different headphones. A rechargable battery is included with the unit, and can be recharged 300 times, according to the manual. You recharge the battery simply by plugging the player in an electrical outlet. You can extend the play time by adding a AAA battery also. ( ) I would highly recommend this unit. END
Rating: Summary: a realy nice unit for a realy nice price Review: the controls are intuitive and easy to use, great sound, the bass boost is incredible! with the bass boost turned on and hooked up to my moderate computer speakers i thought I had my home subwoofer going! there was no distortion or drowning out, it was simply amazing. the side loading feature makes it really easy to load no the fly (riding your bike or driving), and makes it very durable too. Sharp also includes a digital recording cable to hook up to your DVD player and home stereo that supports it, while Sony will try to get you to pay $40 for it! now the downsides: the battery that comes with it lasts about 300 charges and then its $50 bucks to get it replaced. also, this is just a minor thing and probable just annoys me, but....the fast forward/reverse button on the remote is backwards. you push the switch to the left to go forward and to the right to go backwards. just a minor thing that takes some getting used to, other than that the remote is wonderful. I would recommend this player to anyone, they won't go away disappointed.
