Summary: Easy Setup, Easy Operation.
Review: The best Modem I've seen so far. Way better the USRobotics/3Com Modems. I have two and they work very nicely. It's the next modem I'de buy if I needed another one.

Summary: ISA not PCI
Review: The box says it's PCI, but it goes in an ISA slot. I put it in my machine that hasn't crashed in 2 years and it locked the machine. It messed with my sound card and my NIC. And to top it all off, it still doesn't work.

Summary: Superb Modem
Review: The Diamond 56K PCI, SupraMax is superb. I was reading some other reviews and they were boasting connections at 41,333, so I went to my taskbar to check my connection speed, 49,333 baby. My brother's modem has failed him, so I told him that I would pick him up a decent one, and here I am, picking him up the same modem.

Summary: Disappointment
Review: This Diamond modem product is what True Plug and Play should be. You can literally be online within 15 minutes of receiving this product (depending on how long it takes you to open and close your PC).

The FAX feature is clean and easy to work with. With the $10.00 rebate on the box this is the best buy for 56k internal.

Summary: diamond modem review
Review: This is my second diamond multimedia 56k modem. Both have proved to provide outstanding and consistent performance. Diamond's customer service department is also extremely helpful and competent in handling any issues and/or problems.

Summary: Diamond Modem
Review: This is the 5th modem I have owned, and it definitely is the best. I had it installed and working within a few minutes, and it consistently performs well.

Summary: Excellent Modem - Excellent Technical Service
Review: This modem is the most economical one that I have ever purchased. Under Windows 98, it ran at 48K. But in my case I had to enable the PCI slot through the BIOS. My PCI slots were disabled by default by the Phoenix BIOS. I have a Dec XL-590. I tried to install it under Windows NT4.0 (SP6) but to no avail. Even though service was excellent, the modem exhibited no response after installation. I was advised to reinstall NT4.0 and the Service Pack, but my system crashed. With a US Robotics internal faxmodem, I got 51K in Windows 98. The difference is not significant, but the price was. In general, I highly recommend this economical and fast modem under Windows 98.

Summary: Maximum Performance.....Minimum Headaches
Review: What can you say about a modem that installs in NT 4.0 in less than 10 minutes? About time, maybe?

For the record, I installed it in an HP Kayak XA Workstation running NT 4.0 with 128mb RAM, 4.3gig HD, Matrox Millenia AGP and Soundblaster card and equipment.

Connection speed is always 43,000+ with download speeds consistently 4.5+. It's not my T1 at work, but for home use, this one's a keeper.
