Review: Other than dealing with the accumulated dust bunnys behind the PC, the Surfboard modem installed exactly the same way as the original RCA cable modem did as supplied by Comcast. One 5 minute phone call to Comcast, supplying them with the MAC address and serial number, I was right back on the NET as soon as I restarted my PC.

Summary: GREAT CABLE MODEM!
Review: Recently I purchased the Motorola sb 4200. Based on the reviews that I read on Amazon.com, I couldn't wait to receive it. When it finally arived I installed it with great ease. Some of the ffeatures that I like about the 4200 are that it is easily upgradable to docksis 1.1 and the top mounted standby button offers added security and conveenience. I would also like to mention the fact that this modem out-performs the modem that I was leasing from my isp. I noticed that the speed is a lot better and I can really tell a difference. If you are considering buying a modem the SB 4200 is a winner!

Summary: Not working after 3 months, easy to use and install though
Review: The cable modem was easy to use and install. However, after being used for about 3 months, it stops working - I can no longer use the 'standby' button, all the lights flash randomly, and the worst thing is that I can't even access to the web.

Review: The device is easy to hook up, compact, has good indicator lights and a handy stand-by button to shut off your internet connection if you want to. It is also very, very fast. I'm running at 1373kbs at the moment!
It also is not obtrusive and it has a small footprint.

Review: This modem is definitely worth the money. I use it on a Mac/Pc network with a wireless router. It works great, takes very little space, and is fast and stable. Overall an excellent modem.

Review: This modem is doing a wonderful job for me and my computer. It is a neat looking unit and the speed is great. I highly recommend it to anyone looking for a cable modem. My cable service, "bless their pea-picking hearts" continue to raise the cost of their services. Yes dear old Cox Cable is out to get as much as they can out of their customers, therefore instead of the fifteen dollars a month for modem rent, I purchased this unit. It is attractive and very reliable and easy to hook-up. A great feature is the stand-by button on top of the unit which works so well for security and ease of a disconnect from the internet. Only thing better than this modem is the excellent service I receive from Amazon. All of my dealing with these super professional folks has been a delight. If you need a modem, get it here and get this one. I just know that it will be a winning situation for you as it has been for me. God Bless and make it a great day!!

Review: This New Updated Surfboard is great. Compared to the 4100, you will get the same results. It really depend on you provider. The stand by buttom is good, especially is you like to keep your computer on stand by mode when you are not using it.
