Summary: Logitech Cordless MouseMan Optical
Review: Briefly: Easy to install but it ends there. Basically this product functions like a standard mouse that needs a new ball or has to be cleaned. Exasperating trying to get the arrow to land on the spot you select. It wanders and drifts. You'll never score 8000 playing solitaire with this one. I went back to the old mouse that needs to be refurbished. It functions better. Sorry Logitech!

Review: My experience with the logitech mouseman mouse has been a very good one. I find it is easy to use. Overall I think it is the best mouse that I have used.

Summary: Not good for gaming or precision work
Review: I thought this would be a nice addition to my setup, so I purchased one about 1 year ago. After installing it, it performed OK in 2D/desktop apps, but lacked the precision of movement found in a standard wired mouse. It's a bit jerky, and tends to wander a bit by itself. Try doing precision graphics design work with this thing, you will find it problematic in these areas.
Using it for gaming purposes just completely turned me off of this product. Playing FPS games like Half-Life, NOLF, Q3, UT etc. really shows the problems with this device. Try aiming a sniper rifle accurately and tracking targets with this thing. You will not be pleased. Again, the main problem was the lack of precision of movement, and in games, the mouse acted a bit like a drunken hamster. I would NOT recommend this device to anyone looking for a steady pointer. The extra BIT of added convenience gained by this cordless device is far outweighed by it's performance defects.
On the other hand, I have been extremely happy with my Logitech Optical mouse - the WIRED version.

Review: I don't know what the fuss is with changing batteries... I've had the Logitech mouse since november 2001 and I've only changed the batteries once. I have NEVER taken any time to remove the batteries in order to save battery power. Perhaps 'cleaner64'(a customer reviewer) is right about a light colored surface prolonging the life of the Logitech's batteries. I bought a Fellowes mouse pad with a built-in wrist pad. The mouse pad is a very light gray, and the wrist pad is a dark gray. Aside from being comfortable, the pad's light color may have preserved the mouse's batteries.
Seriously, I've had the thing on for a little over a year... only one battery change.

Summary: Wonderful - so far!
Review: I haven't had it long, but I love it! It installed easily, and although I did not get it to work with the USB hub, it works well on the PS2 plug. I read a lot about this one & the Microsoft Wireless Blue Mouse (which everyone said was jumpy) & I think I made the right choice. This is a million times better than my old ball mouse. I am taking the advice of those who said to keep it on a white piece of paper to conserve batteries - hope it works!

Review: This is the best mouse I've ever used. I find it weird now to use a mouse with a trackball. This mouse is shaped so well that it just melts into the palm of your hand. This mouse is well worth the money. The only downside.. it uses batteries. But that's worth it.

Summary: Not all software versions work with WIN 98 SE
Review: We got a mouseman for my wife's XP notebook last month and installed it in about 30 seconds, no disk required. She liked it very much. Today I received a second MouseMan for my WIN 98 SE desktop, and the install disk seemed to do an incomplete job, and windows would run me around in circles looking for missing drivers, which were never found. After wasting a couple of hours on reboots, I noticed that my disk was labeled 9.42.1 and the one my wife got was 9.28. I uninstalled 9.42.1, and reinstalled the 9.28. The installation was nicer and it didn't try to install AOL and a bunch of other stuff that is hard to reject without a working mouse. More importantly, version 9.28 worked flawlessly, and I finally had a mouse again. Otherwise I would be returning the MouseMan instead of writing this review.

Summary: Battery Charger Satisfies Mouse's Appetite
Review: I think this truely is a great mouse ... have used it daily for hours at a time over this last year. It did use up my first set of batteries in about two weeks or so. I decided that before drowning the mouse, I would acquire a set of NiMH batteries (1600 mAh are fine) and engage the battery charger I use with my digital camera. No matter what the Logitech literature may say about rechargeable batteries ... this approach works great! My mouse and I continue to be very happy together after these many months ... and mousepower seems to last longer by 20% or so.
