Rating: Summary: Great design. Extremely comfortable. Review: I used to be a huge fan of MS Intellimouse (the old fashioned 2 button with wheel/button).This feels just as good, despite the fact that it doesnt look as ergonomic. The price is very reasonable. The wheel is MUCH more reliable than MSIntellimouse. It's faster and doesn't wear as quickly (I play a lot of video games and surf the net a lot -- that requires a lot of scrolling!) I've never had to clean it -- not once! And you gotta admit, that's one nice shade of blue! Very attractive. Standard USB connection with an adapter to fit into PS2. Note: Just because it's optical and you can pretty easily use it on any surface (i.e. your desk, a text book, or your knee) that doesn't mean you should. It picks up imperfections in the surface too...its better to use a mousepad, regardless of how crappy. I find it works best with the soft cloth top, not the plasticy ones.
Rating: Summary: Never disappointed me yet Review: I bought this expecting never to have to clean muck from the trackball again, and I was not disappointed. Sleek looking and comfortable, the only mouse I'd trade this in for is probably its wireless brother. A must have for anyone who's tired of cleaning mice trackballs because it's interfering with your scrolling. Gamers will love it as well for its obvious accuracy superiority over a traditional mouse.
Rating: Summary: One for the road. Review: I use the Logitech cordless optical at home, but needed something smaller for travel. This unit has all the functionality of their larger mice, with the added bonus of taking up less space. Optical technology in mice is about as stable as quartz technology in wristwatches; all the opticals I've tried have been superior to any of the old "rubber ball" mice of the 20th century. This one is no exception.
Rating: Summary: Just about as good as it gets Review: These mice are simply wonderful. Comfortable in the hand and intuitive on the screen and usually cheaper than their Intel rivals. I've used my first one for a couple years now and when it came time to add another 'puter to the household I told the builder to either put one in the system or sell me the machine with no mouse at all and I'd get my own. He checked his inventory and, surprise surprise, he had some in stock (It's nice dealing with a local when building a machine). Unless you are going with a cordless mouse I can think of no other one to be using. And yes, Logitech does make a cordless mouse with no balls. ;-)
Rating: Summary: excellent mouse Review: I really like this mouse. I've been using it for 2 months now and I don't have any problems whatsoever with it. The software that comes with it works fine. Mouse is reliable, easy and comfortable to use. This is my first optical mouse and I am really pleasantly surprised how smooth everything works compared to the classical ball-based mice. I think this is a very good mouse and I strongly recommend it (I am not affiliated with Logitech in any way).
Rating: Summary: I couldn't go back to a trackball if you forced me to... Review: WOW. I cannot expressed what a difference an optical mouse makes. I now have one of these for each of my computers at home and when I go to work and have to deal with the trackball, I just want to scream. The transistion is so smooth, at first you will think it is too smooth, but you get used to it pretty quickly. Logitech, in my opinion, is the best computer accessory company. Buy this mouse.
Rating: Summary: Great Mouse for an iBook with OS X Review: This was fantastically simple to install: connect to usb port and start using! The mouse immediately worked just as it does in Windows. The right button brought up the same options (such as open in a new window for browsers). The scroll button also allowed for easy movement. Highly sensitive and just the right size for portability, I cannot think of a better mouse for a laptop and there was absolutely no software to install (with use of OS X). For the price, you can't do better!
Rating: Summary: I love this squeeker!! Review: I wouldnt give this mouse up and someone will be prying it from my cold dead hands when I die. I was so tired of that little annoying track ball in my regular mouse having to constantly clean the darn thing and even then i was constantly having to put it if diffrent positions to try and get the darn thing to work. Then I orderd this little gem! No more track ball for me:) also this little mouse has a neat little red light underneath of it that doubles as a neat night light!! I have had mine over a year with heavy and I do mean heavy use and I have had absolutely no problems with it. I highly recomend getting your self one!!
Rating: Summary: Close - but not quite perfect Review: This mouse performs perfectly, however there's something just not quite right. Perhaps the plastic is a little too thin? This just feels a little too light, the button action isn't quite right. In all this mouse just lacks something in the feel of quality. But I'd still buy another one, that's why checking it out now.
Rating: Summary: Ergonomic, Smooth, and Loaded! Review: I bought the Logitech Wheel Mouse Optical as a replacement for my factory eMachines mouse. It must be the most ergonomic mouse I have ever used. I love it. I have not had a single problem with it even though it is hooked up through my USB Hub. The included software is also handy, although I have disabled it. It comes with Logitech's MouseWare which features WebWheel. WebWheel, when the center button is pressed down, opens a browser type function that allows you to go back, reload the page, or stop the page loading and a couple of other web links. If you don't like that or don't browse the web often, then you can set it to open a little box with windows program functions such as close program, minimize, and more. However, because I get many long emails, I have set it to the default windows provided alternative which allows you to move your pointed to control the scrollbars. The plug and play option is also fabulous. Win98, WinME, and WinXP recognized it instantly through the USB port and let me use scroll features without any added software. The device also worked wonderfully with the Macintosh. I tested it on an iBook with Mac OS-9 and Mac OS-X and it worked instantly without any additional software. OS-X even let me use the scrolling feature on webpages and let me right click just like Windows. I highly suggest this mouse for ANYONE! If you don't have USB then there is an included PS/2 adapter.
