Summary: MOUSE WILL NOT WORK ON DARK SURFACES
Review: I purchased this mouse so I could do away with both the wires from the mouse that constantly become tangled and the annoyance of using a mouse pad. After I set up the mouse, which was quite simple, I found the mouse did not work. I called several friends of mine who had purchased this mouse to see if they could help me in discovering why it was not working. I learned that you must use this mouse on a desk top that has a light colored surface. My desk top has a black surface and would therefore not work. I now have to use a light colored mousepad or a white sheet of paper under the mouse for it to work.

Summary: Comfortable and functional...
Review: I like the fact that this mouse has a "big" feel to it yet is light and easy to click. Setup was a breeze in W2K and being cordless AND optical give you a freedom you can't appreciate until you have it. This is my new standard at home and in the office.

Summary: The mouse to go!
Review: I have tried this mouse, and it works wonders. It has extreme clarity, you don't have to worry about slamming the mouse down in frustration. You don't have to worry about it getting tangled with the keyboard and speaker cords, and you can put it anywhere you want. Double A batteries is a very common type of batteries, so that's a plus too.
The scroll button lets you scroll down pages with ease. It's definitely the mouse to go.

Summary: It Has Advantages and Disadvantages!!
Review: Let me start by saying I am not a technophile by any strech of the imagination. I simply bought this mouse because I couldn't stand the cord any longer. I have had this almost since the day it hit the market and have been waiting to give it a totally fair review. That's been almost a year and plenty of time and use to be fair.

My intial reaction was that it was the greatest product ever invented. It did away with the cord, which was such a bother. And, because of the optical technology, it glides over just about anything I want to use as a mouse pad.

From the begining, I was concerned about the weight, which you do get used to. Just be careful if you are prone to repetative motion disease. It has caused me to have more flair ups,and my doctor has suggested I get rid of it. However, I am hooked and although I think it could be improved, wouldn't give it up for anything.

The other problem is the batteries. It inhales them at a much faster rate than was suggested by the information put out by Logitech. Be prepared and keep a set of spares at your desk at all times. I will say, on a positive note, that it gives a lot of warning that the batteries are going low. This does give you time to pick up new ones without having to drop everything.

I would say this is a great device if you use your computer on a limited basis. If you do serious web work, or anything needing a lot of mouse work, you might wan to stick to a lighter ( and cheaper) product.

Summary: This is one handy mouse....
Review: Computer wise, this is the best purchase we've made. First of all it's a cinch to install, my husband had it going it less than 5 minutes. It comes with a little "base" that I was afraid that the it had to be within the area of the mouse to work. Not true. I mounted it to the side of our computer desk where it's not even in view and the mouse works perfectly. It is so handy. Also, my 2 year old has a bad habit of wanting to play on the computer when I'm not looking. All I have to do is put the mouse away, no unplugging anything! We paid full price, and it's worth every penny.

Summary: Execllent product
Review: I have been using it for over 6 months. Once you start using you will never feel like using the mouse with a chord. It's one of the greatest advances in mouse technology chordless & optical cannot ask for more. Could have been a little lighter but you have to have the batteries.
Only drawback is to change the batteries in the mouse once in 2 months if you are a extensive user. I use rechargable batteries though.

Summary: Perfect for XP Users!
Review: This product is great! The installation took me less than 5 mins. In fact, the installation of the mouse itself took me around 1 min. (i used the rest of the 5 mins to read the instructions) I am using Windows XP and it recognized the mouse IMMEDIATELY. I didn't even have to use the CD that came with the mouse at all.
In terms of function, it's, so far, very good. It does everything a mouse should do.
The design is also great, i really like it.
highly recommended!!!

Summary: It's a miracle!
Review: The first Logitech Cordless Mouseman that I purchased was back in June of 2001. I loved it. Since then, I have purchased 3 more: one for my computer at work and two as gifts for friends. They are equally impressed with the mouse. Once you get used to the various features (especially the double click thumb button), it is almost impossible to use another mouse. When I try to use a conventional wired mouse, I am frustrated with the cord and the light weight. The Logitech just feels right. It has enough "heft" to be very stable on whatever surface it is used on, and places your wrist in a very natural and comfortable position. Recently I read an article in one of the popular computer magazines that called into question Logitech's claim that their mouse is designed for human hands. In fact, it is. I often wonder what species some electronics are designed for. As a side note: Whereas I don't advocate dropping your mouse on the floor, I can personally attest to the fact that I have accidentally dropped my Logitech Cordless Mouseman on the floor from a distance of 32" two times, and it still works fine. Kudos, Logitech!

Summary: Cordless mouse even better with switch
Review: I use this mouse with my laptop and find that it adds additional freedom of movement that I can now enjoy.

However, I found that the movement sensor stays on even if the mouse is packed away in my carrier case. Far too soon the battery ran out.

I added a miniature on/off switch inside the back of the mouse and now I have extended battery life and enjoy this mouse even more.

Summary: Best computer accesory
Review: I bought this mouse about a year ago and since then it has been my best computer acquisition ever. I have recomended it to friends and family and it turns out to be a great present for birthdays.
The mouse is accurate and comfortable, plus the button on the side is quite useful. The batteries lasted to me for about 10 months but I don't use it daily.
