Summary: EXCELLENT Mouse for Mac
Review: This is a fabulous mouse! Great control & size, and the buttons & scroll wheel have spoiled me completely for other mice. The only reason I don't give it a 5th star: I've had to replace it every year. Just wears out.

Summary: Awesome Mouse after Microsoft fixed the patch
Review: I have been using the Microsoft Intellimouse Optical for close to an year now. This cute little mouse serves the purpose and does more. With 5 programmable buttons, navigating the Internet is a pleasure when you customize.

Pluses are that the mouse is comfortable, painless and has perfect precision. Also customizable for dextral as well as sinistral users.

My computer used to freeze because of a conflict in Windows XP, but now the bug is fixed by Microsoft in the Windows XP service pack. So if you experience problems, you might want to check for SP1.

But if you would want to get rid of the messy cords, you might want to check out for the optical wireless alternative for almost the same price. (Be prepared to have lots of spare batteries in that case.)

Summary: Great Mouse, but not the most reliable
Review: I've been using this mouse for a couple years now and I'm definitely hooked on it! I've gotten very used to having the forward and back buttons on the sides for surfing the internet and I love not having to clean the mouse or have problems with it not moving properly. I also like the design of this mouse and how it feels in my hand.

Unfortunately, over the time that I have been using this mouse, I have had to exchange the old one a new one 2 different times. The reason in both cases was because the left mouse button would start to get out of sync a little bit. This made it so that if you tapped the button once, half the time it would register a double click. This may not seem like a big deal, but it definitely caused more than a few frustrations.

While, this mouse has the best design that I have found, the reliability of it has been enough of a problem that, if someone else were to design a mouse with a similar layout, I would probably ditch the Microsoft one. But for now, I'll just have to live with returning my mouse every 6 months or so.

Summary: Best mouse ever
Review: I have been using this mouse for more than 5 months. No complaint about it at all. Price is quite still high since the wireless optical mouse is in the market.

Recommend: Get this one.

Summary: Forget the mouse pad with this one!
Review: I have this mouse on my laptop for work. I travel and have actually used this mouse on the bedspread in a hotel room. It doesn't lack any of the finesse that a ball mouse gives you, and you benefit from being able to use it on a bumpy, soft, or crumb-filled surface. (Try that with a regular mouse!) I recommend this one highly.

Summary: best mouse I have used
Review: I got one of these for my work PC. Was so impressed I had to get one for home. Very smooth and comfortable.

Summary: Best Gift I've Ever Received
Review: I'm a student and between my english major and internet minor I spend countless hours at the computer. My best friend bought me an intellimouse optical and I love it! The extra buttons have saved amazing amounts of time while reasearching on the internet and the laser sensor makes it easy to use the mouse anywhere...without a mousepad. The design is sleek and the red light just fun. My only problem with the mouse is that I dislike using all others now. :)

Summary: Optical mouse is much better than mechanical mouse
Review: A mechanical mouse (with the rollerball) works about a year at our house before it starts sticking and jerking. I've replaced them all with the Microsoft optical mouse, and have never had a problem with them.

Summary: Simply a GREAT product!
Review: My Microsoft Wheel 'ball' mouse was giving a bit of trouble so I decided it was time to change. After reading up on this product it seemed quite good, but I didn't take much interest(who is really interested in mice). I was in for a great surprise. From the moment I moved the mouse, I was quite amazed, the accuracy and speed over my previous mouse was a great improvement. I now browse my computer 2-3times faster. It also feels very nice in your hand(whether left or right handed). The wheel and buttons are fine, and the extra programmable buttons can be quite useful(though I don't use them). It's also quite nice to finally get rid of that mouse bad and not have to worry about any more cleaning. The only VERY small gripe, is the 'always on' red light. Few people should have a problem with that, some may like it. Overall this is an EXCELLENT product, especially for the price.

Summary: Don't waste your money
Review: Steer away from this one. I actually was foolish enough to purchase 2 of these. Both failed in less than 3 months. I have since purchased the same style mouse from logitech. It works perfectly and costs less.
