Summary: Durable and inexpensive
Review: I first purchased this mouse at college in August 2002 and found it to be very useful and durable. The forward/back internet buttons are handy if you browse the web or even folders in your own computer, and the scroll button is easily programmable. I have been using it constantly for about a year now and it's finally starting to give me some problems. I'm not sure about the warranty on it, but I think that all the wear and tear from taking it everywhere with my laptop has done something to the connection at the end of the cable. My computer sometimes claims it cannot recognize it or doesn't acknowledge it at all unless I bend the cord up a little. I know this is a common problem with electronics in general but I haven't seen it in any reviews for this item. All in all, isolated case aside, this is a great product for someone looking for a quality optical mouse with good features at a great price.

Summary: Excellent Mouse
Review: What can be said that hasn't already? The IM Optical is simply an excellent product. Good response and no mouse ball to clean. I prefer the corded version over wireless as those consume batteries but either is a good purchase.

Summary: This thing is out of control!
Review: I think I went nuts when I tried for a few days (maybe hours) to replace my broken mouse with one of these.

Every time the table or desk would move the slightest bit, it would either click on something, open a new application, or start to drag a selection on the screen. NOT my cup of tea!

Unless your desk is carved from a stone alcove and will never move (say, if a book is dropped on it, or someone bumps into the desk - heck, for me even *typing* was enough vibration for it to go click on things) ---- I would not buy this!!!!

Summary: This mouse lasted a while!
Review: I gotta tell ya, I was hesitant when this mouse first came out. It was about the time when Optical Mice became retail. I was shocked I was paying how much I payed for a mouse back then. Even for four years ago, let me tell you it was atleast triple this price. All in all, however, I found my purchase to be successful.

I have had this mouse for four years, and only now I am seeing small issues occur. Ever since I bought it, this mouse has had skip-free performance and is very usefull in games. My only problem now, however, is that my mouse is starting to die on me. Every once and a while the mouse freezes up on me when I then unplug it from the back of my PC and plug it back in. This is annoying because I have to reach pretty far back there and I can't see back there. That is why I am now buying a new Logitech Chordless Optical mouse.

Overall, this is a great mouse. For the price you pay, you get smoothe performance and basically a 4 - 6 year gaurantee. Go ahead, and don't be hesitant. This is the best low-priced optical mouse out there.

Summary: Favourite Mouse
Review: The accuracy is a significant improvement over the rollerball, so you can increase pointer speed. The only negative i can think of is there is too much drag on the underside compared to other mice.

Summary: This Mouse is Great!!
Review: I bought this mouse because I couldn't stand having to deal with the mice with the ball in them. They were jumpy, needed a mouse pad, and were quick in needing to be cleaned out. After using this mouse for the first few minutes I couldn't believe how easy this onw worked across the computer screen. I didn't need a mousepad, and I liked the scroll wheel especially when right college reports and side buttons which I use for the back and forward buttons on the Internet. It's made using the computer a much better experience and the best part is that it doesn't stick when you are trying to move it slow. If you are looking for a great mouse, throw away the mouse you have and you will not be dissappointed.

Summary: Favorite Mouse
Review: This is my favorite mouse and I've used many many mice. I don't like wireless too much cuz of I never shut my computer and it drains the batteries and I have the Microsoft IntelliMouse Explorer on my other computer and it not the same as this one. The foward button on the IntelliMouse Explorer is in front of the back button which is an inconvenience. I use to use Logitech mice and loved it for its construction and weight but I like the Intellimouse Optical better. Improvements can be made to the weight and better plastic material. I had mine for over two years now and I am currently purchasing another one from Amazon.[com]

Summary: Three years and still going strong!
Review: I live in a very dusty city, and mouse cleaning was a weekly (if not daily) portion of my computer-related life. On a whim, I bought this mouse when they first came out (in Colombia) over 3 years ago. Haven't looked back since, I even gave one to my girlfriend because she kept threatening me to steal mine. On the down side, this mouse is for righties only, lefties have to settle for the normal Micorosoft Intellimouse without all the extra buttons (all 2 of them).

Tracking in the device is wonderful, it seems to work nicely in all types of games, and when I go to gaming parlours I miss the programmability of the extra two buttons (reload, use, anyone?)

I'd heartily reccomend it.

Summary: Fantastic mouse
Review: This is a great mouse. I'm upgrading to it from microsoft wheel mouse optical. (I tried a microsoft wireless optical blue mouse in between - it sucks, see my review there).

Pros:
- Precise accurate movement (just like my wheel mouse optical)
- can use it on finished wood (unlike microsoft wireless mice)
- 5 buttons (all programmable)

Cons:
- need there be any?

Summary: I'm surprised I actually like a piece of Microsoft hardware!
Review: I'm not an avid mouse tester, but this by far exceeds any mouse I've owned to date. The Optical technology has allowed me to do away with my mouse pads and doesn't require disassembly for cleaning. Microsoft's IntelliPoint software is very flexible and configures to every need I have. It's also very quick and easy to change my configuration for computer gaming. I was so impressed with this mouse that I bought a second for my office computer. I highly recommend this item for home or office use.
