Summary: not bad, could be better
Review: I liked this mouse for it's form factor. I think the left/right hand design is quite good. I think the one real problem is that the base station is almost as big as a mouse itself. It is not ideal for a laptop, but i only use it when i have a table to sit down at anyway. Bundling up the cord with a velcro wire tie works well enough for me.
Many people complain about the mouse being jumpy. To solve this problem, first try using a lighter mouse pad or surface. If the surface you are using is varried, the mouse will jump. a sheet of paper or light book cover works for me. If that dosn't work, try cheking your batteries.

Summary: It may be microsoft, but this isn't their best.
Review: I've had the Microsoft Wireless Optical Mouse Blue for about 3 months now, and I have been getting very annoyed. It runs off 2 AA batteries. They only last about a month, and that seems bad, but try replacing them. If you can even manage to somehow wedge the batteries out of its compartment, you will most likely have to clean your hands off from the scrapes when trying to get it open. I recommend using a strong thin pen to pry the batteries out. Once you get them out and put new ones in, you will probably have to fidget with them for a bit to try and get the optical light back on. Another thing I have found annoying, are the glitches. Unfortunately there aren't any wireless mice out there that don't. On a lighter note, the mouse is very responsive, and although it few, minor glitches, and the fact it doesn't have the advanced web browsing buttons
that some mice have, it operates very well, especially for its price. I, personally, would recommend a rechargable Logitech mouse. Hope this helps!

Summary: Buyer Beware, Known Issue - Button Clicking Fails
Review: There is a huge problem with this mouse in regard to button clicks. You sometimes have to click the buttons 4-10 times in order to get it to work. Microsoft does not have any solution and won't even acknowledge the problem. I had a logictech before and it worked fine. n

Summary: Very good purchase
Review: I have been using the wireless mouse since January of 2003. That is almost 9 months. I have had to change the batteries twice. I use the mouse mostly for games, and only in the evenings and weekends, but is has always worked very well. I get a message on the computer when the batteries are getting low, and I just change them. It is so nice not to have to worry about cords. I am also used to switching hands when using a mouse to keep my hands from tiring. This mouse is very usable with either hand, and it is so easy to switch when you don't have to worry about cords or a mouse pad.

Summary: Stay away
Review: This is a very inexpensive mouse and I know why. Because you will spend a fortune on batteries. Also, mouse jumps to corners about once a minute, and is hard to control. A dud.

Summary: great mouse, little larger than planned
Review: I'm using this mouse with my laptop. I'm very happy with the ability to move around without any wires. The part that connects to the computer is almost the same size as the mouse, so if you have limited desk space, it's something to think about. It has a long wire, though, and is supposed to be at least 12" away from the mouse that you use, so you could probably put it on the floor or on a shelf or something.

Another thing you may want to know if you travel alot - I read in the user's manual that it is a transmitting device. So, on airplanes you have to remove the batteries from the mouse. Luckily, this is easy to do, just one more thing to think about as you board. There are two AA batteries.

I was showing some pictures to friends and was able to use the wireless mouse from about 4 feet away from the PC. That was a great bonus.

Make sure you go through the setup for "Set Orientation" - before using this, I had some problems, but afterwards it has been perfect. I use it daily for work and have had it for about 3 weeks. Not one problem.

It's a simple MS Mouse design, so it's not the most ergonomic, but still comfortable.

Overall, I was pleased enough to look it up on Amazon and rate it pretty highly.
