Summary: Not Small Enough
Review: I like my other logitech mice so I thought this would be a good choice for my 7 year old. She needs a smaller mouse. This mouse turns out to be almost identical in size to a full-sized logitech optical mouse. I cannot rate it high since it doesn't meet it's description of being "mini" at all. I'd call it a "mid-size" mouse.

The shorter cord is nice for using with the laptop.

Summary: Not very mini
Review: I thought it would be mini for my laptop - but its more Medium compared to other small laptop mice.

Summary: A Hardy Mouse
Review: I've had this mouse for over 10 months now and it works just like a mouse should for games, surfing the net or anything else I've done on the computer.

The best part about this mouse is that I've dropped it over 100 times, sometimes on really hard floors (I have a laptop that's moved around a lot), and it still works just as well as it did when I first got it. It does have this rattling inside it like something's broken inside, but it hasn't affected the quality of the mouse at all.

There is some slight wear on the buttons from overuse, as I'm on the computer for hours a day, but this is just normal wear and tear that doesn't detract from the appearance of the mouse at all.

Overall, I recommend this mouse for its low cost, durability and quality. Every logitech product I've bought has been a quality product and this one is no different.

Summary: Good for what it is
Review: If you need a small mouse, this is a top quality mouse. My only complaint is that the metal edges are a little sharp. I haven't cut myself yet, but I often feel like it is imminent.

Summary: Not Mini is Okay 'Cause its the Right Color
Review: My computer is basically grey and black (HP, you know). It is absolutely essential that the colors match. Therefore I got the Silver and Black Logitech Mini Optical Mouse because the full size one is kinda neutral beige. Fortunately, the size of the mini feels the same as a full size mouse.

The reason for a new mouse was sticky ball syndrome. I have found it impossible to adequately clean the ball on a mechanical mouse. If nothing else, there seems to be a lot of body oil mixed in with the dirt, dust and cat hair. Then there is rolling surface cleanness to consider. One little crumb and the cursor will jump, or hang. I can see how the optical mouse could finally pick up enough dust to some day obscure the diode, but so far it is very precise in its cursor positioning.

Summary: Finally, a Mouse that doesn't get "Stuck"! Great!
Review: ~ ~ * ~ ~
~ ~ Between my old beloved Macintosh, and my new PC, I must have gone through 10 Mouses (Mice?). Each one, no matter what brand, ended up getting "stuck"- the ball inside that guides the mouse's movement, would stop rolling smoothly. I'm willing to share some of the blame, occasionally I have nicotine fit while working, and I know the ashes spell death to the Mouse's performance. The same problem occurs with the sticky fingers the kids sometimes have when using the computer.

~ ~ I do a lot of amateur photo-editing. (Adobe Photoshop and less expensive, Photodeluxe are great!) This means that having a mouse with really precise and accurate tracking is absolutely vital! I was a little skeptical about the optical mouse, but I bought this Logitech basic optical mouse on sale.
It is wonderful. I can even notice the difference in the wonderfully precise movements when I play simple online games like "Collapse" and "Bounce Out".

~ ~ For any work that requires precise cursor movement (Photo-editing, Illustration, fast-paced Games), this mouse is terrific. I've had it for 2 months now. A normal mouse would have required at least 2 cleanings of the inner ball mechanism, but the Mouse hasn't let me down yet.

I highly recommend the Logitech Optical Mouse as an inexpensive investment, which will greatly improve the way you succeed with many of your applications. This purchase was a winner!
