Summary: Good if cheap--otherwise look elsewhere
Review: A simple mouse that is optical and slightly more money than it's worth. There is nothing exceptional about this which makes it more compelling than the sevven-dollar generics at the computer store, except perhaps for the Logitech logo sticker. I am obsessed with the Logitech logo sticker. It's rubbery and I'm always picking at it for no apparent reason. The case of the mouse is made of that slippery matte finish and slips out of my hands probably because the mouse isn't for normal adult male-sized hands.
If you can get it for seven bucks like the knock-offs, go for it. Definitely not worth twenty dollars.
And what's with the very thin cable?

Summary: Beats Apple's optical mouse...MUCH cheaper, too.
Review: As a former Windows user, I am used to a 2-button mouse and hated Apple's own optical mouse, which only has one button and feels wrong in my hand. Several months ago I bought Logitec's optical mouse and couldn't be happier with it. Unlike the skimpy cord on my Apple mouse, the Logitec mouse's cord reaches far enough for me to plug it into any USB outlet on my computer, not just the ones on my keyboard. Installation was swift, and I didn't even have to do any special programming for the extra button/scroll wheel: it was all set up the moment I finished installing the software. I haven't had any performance problems--as far as I can tell, it tracks at least as well as the Apple mouse. Importantly, the Logitec mouse is easier on the hand. While it isn't as ergonomic as some mice (it isn't molded to fit into the right hand, in other words), it's a good deal more comfortable to use for long periods than the Apple optical mouse. The buttons are confined to the top portion of the mouse and slant downwards--no more accidental clicking. At the same time, since they are much smaller than the hinging button integrated into the Apple mouse, they click much more rapidly. Finally, it costs less than half the price of Apple's mouse. While it doesn't match my G4 the way Apple's did, it is superior in every other regard.

Summary: Solid and stylish, but a bit uncomfortable
Review: First, I admit I'm a fan of Microsoft mouses. But I'm not closed-minded, and do have in my possesion the Logitech Mouse Pro Traveler mini-mouse which I carry with my Fujitsu notebook.I got the Wheel Mouse Optical Blue as a gift from my ex-employer as a pink-slip present. OK, I'd rather keep the job, but what the heck, I don't decline freebies. The Wheel Mouse is nice and stylish, and is pure plug-n-play on Windows XP. You don't need to install the software, although I imagine the Logitech software gives you some customization functions. I never bother with customizing my mouses anyway; just stick with the one-click, one-shortcut-menu, and scroll-up-and-down basic functions. So the Wheel Mouse works very well on any surface; just don't try it on glass since it won't pick up reflection right. Its cool blue color turns heads at Starbucks. But I'm not all happy with its ergonomics; like many other Logitech mouses, including my prized Mouse Pro Traveler, your hand will get tired after about 15 minutes of use. Of course, your actual mileage can vary, but the point is, Microsoft mouses are still more comfortable, especially for people like me with large hands.

Summary: Wild Mouse
Review: Got tired of my old mouse of not working properly so I replaced it with this Logitech optical mouse. For the first few days I was delighted with it and then it started acting very erratic - jumping all over the screen - very difficult to use at times and hard to be accurate with it. Am currently looking for a replacement.

Summary: Overpriced, underperforming, lots of problems
Review: I bought one and eventually the primary mouse button no longer worked. I got a replacement sent free of charge but it now malfunctions as well. The cursor now disappears and reappears from a different part of the screen. While playing first person shooter games, the character spins wildly out of control. This never happened with my other optical mouse made by Microsoft.

Summary: good quality optical mouse
Review: I got this mouse for 0.59 after rebate, not because I needed a mouse, but becaue 0.59 was an excellent price. Anyways, the mouse works great, installation was a breeze (as any USB mouse install should be) and since then I gave the mouse to my roommate who gave it to his girlfriend who I believe gave it to her cousin. Overall, good mouse.

Summary: Nice mouse and its usb
Review: I have had this mouse for over 3 years and so far no problems (the blue/grey model). If you want a good usb compatible mouse for relatively cheap this is the one to get. Yeah, no third button, and its not cordless, but I figure this, why do you lose your remote control for your tv, dvd, stereo? Either because you took it somewhere with you or it fell in between the cushions of the couch. Paying an additional 15-20 bucks, just 'cause the thing is cordless (what are you going to do 30 feet from your computer?) is a waste of money. I also have a logitech keyboard (6 years old!) and have no problems with it. Logitech makes bullet-proof stuff as far as I have found. I find no "lag" or "sleep" problems with my mouse (how does a mouse go to sleep anyway?). As a Graphic Artist I have found no problems using it in Photoshop or Illustrator. Its pretty quick in fact (better than my 'click-only' mouse on my G5 at work). And I have been playing FarCry at home and it doesn't lag in that game at all (which is resourse intensive) and I am not running a video card, just the built in Asus Nvidia!!. Sounds like the previous review may have issues with video (its not the mouse) or overall perfomance on their box. All in all for the money, I can't think of a better deal, especially if you are just emailing, surfing, doing Word, playing games.

Summary: Reliable Logitech mouse
Review: I have the orginal blue for my mac, and used it for 2 years. Ever since my pc purchase, I've been thinking of purchasing another. Then I saw the black edition, I thought it would fit the color preference of my compaq. It's smooth, nice scroll lock.

Summary: Good Value - Scroll button limiting
Review: I purchased this mouse about a week ago and have been very pleased with its performance except for two things. First, in certain applications where the wheel was effective for scrolling using the default Windows/XP driver, the Logitech does not permit use of the wheel for scrolling. An example of where it will not work is in the email preview section of Outlook on my system. Additionally, the minimum number of lines the wheel scroll can be set to is 3. When I use the file browser in Photoshop and have it set to display two rows of images, if I use the wheel, the minimum it scrolls is three rows, thus skipping one of the rows (and requiring use of the scroll bar with the mouse pointer).
As a workaround, I removed the Logitech software and went with the default XP driver and settings. This does limit the assignment of other functions to the left and right buttons as well as the wheel, but suits my needs. The other one which I have not figured out is that when I run the pointer off of the side of the display, it sometimes returns in very unpredictable spots. I would certainly say that for the price this mouse is AN EXCELLENT VALUE. It is smooth, quick and responsive (kinda like a sports car). Never having to clean a ball again will be a pleasure.
