Summary: Great mouse, great warranty, solid software
Review: I'm not sure how I decided on this mouse (maybe from good reviews I read in a Mac magazine?), but I bought one a few years ago. I love the five buttons and feel of the mouse. Repsonsive clicking and good tracking. The last driver software update a month of so ago (for OS X) finally worked as it did in OS 9.
Some time last year, I had a problem with the cord and the power would intermittently drop out. I wrote MS and they sent me a coupon telling me to photocopy the bottom of the mouse and to send it (the photocopy) in along with the coupon. Got a new mouse a few days later.

Summary: terrible scroll wheel
Review: If you do a lot of scrolling, this is not the mouse for you. This one's very loose, very "click-clacky," and just plain shoddy. When you press the scroll wheel button you get two clicks: when the parts finally come into alignment, and when the button is actually pressed. The same often applies for scrolling: an initial click for the wheel to engage with its gear, then a click as you actually turn the gear. Annoying! For this much money, the moving parts should be snug and responsive. I found myself absent-mindedly playing with it like a loose tooth, wondering when it would break entirely. You'll find that most children's toys have better moving parts. I think Logitech scroll wheels are better.

Summary: Excellent Fit for Me
Review: I just got one of these to replace my old plain Microsoft mouse, 'cuz I'm sick of cleaning the roller ball sensors. My thoughts can be summed up in this: I should've bought this mouse a year ago. Reasons?
It's doesn't have to be regularly cleaned; it's significantly lighter in weight; it's an ergonomic fit to my hand (yes, I'm an 80th percentile American male); it's more accurate (no cursors skipping across the screen); it's got some nice features like the additional 2 buttons on the side, which can control back and forward buttons in your browser.
My only complaint is the USB to PS2 adapter is a bit bulky, which made it a tight fit connecting to my KVM box. Also, the wheel could be a little more fluid, but not really a problem.

Summary: Once you use an optical mouse...
Review: you'll never go back. Optical mice are simply the best. No mouspad, no ball to remove and clean the insides, etc. That's all gone. And this mouse has a PAGE BACK and PAGE FORWARD button on each side. Really great for browsing. I highly recommend the Intellimouse.

Summary: Nice mouse but lousy wheel
Review: I'm amazed at the reviews this device is getting. Yes, it is slickly designed, has a pretty icky red light at the back, and has flexible control software. But the wheel is seriously flawed. I bought one on Sunday and took it back on Monday. The wheel has far too much lost motion when it is pressed, sounds like a tin toy when it rotates (it is ANNOYINGLY noisy), and the tactile feedback is nasty. Pity, as otherwise it's a fine mouse. I actually tried several different displays in different shops and they all had the same feature, the trackball mouse is the same too so it must be the basic design and not a fault. My old Intellimouse did not have this problem. So I've now got a Logitech MX-500 and boy is this an improvement.

Summary: Extremely Comfortable but lacks precision
Review: I really would like to have kept this mouse because it fits my hand so well. But since I do alot of Photoshop, I was annoyed by the fact that the mouse goes to sleep and I have to wake it up. I also agree with the other reviews that you couldn't get the mouse to behave the same way as a "wired" mouse would for precision (but since this is my first "wireless" I have had no other exp).

If you are looking for a mouse that is comfortable, this is a good candidate. It's nice when I do system admin or program, but once I start designing then :(

Summary: Very Good Mouse, Not Quite Perfect
Review: This mouse is very nice. It is comfortable, which is what I look for in a mouse. It also has two side buttons that you can configure. I have them configured for going Back and Forward on the Internet for easier, faster browsing. The only reason why I have this mouse 4 stars instead of 5, is because it is not 100% comfortable. Although it is very comfortable, there are better mice out there. Such as the Intellimouse Explorer Wireless and Intellimouse Explorer Wireless for Bluetooth. This mouse, in my opinion, is much better than any Logitech mouse out there. If you are looking for a good mouse with extra buttons, this is the mouse for you. If you want 100% Comfortablity, go with the Intellimouse Explorer Wireless.

Summary: Amazing!
Review: I have encountered no problems with this amazing mouse. It is twice as worth as what it costs and is probably one of the best things I've ever bought for my computer (and I've bought allot). It is precise and exact, has no cord to worry about (which is surprisingly incredibly convenient), and the battery seems to last forever. It fits perfectly in your hand, and everything, from the scroll bar to the multiple buttons (which allow short cuts like copying or moving back and forward through the internet). Additionally, I think it must utilize your body heat as well, since when I move the mouse along with my finger the pointer won't budge. It will only move if I am holding it, which is very extraordinary. I recommend this to anyone who ever even thinks about using a computer.

Summary: Decent but not the Best
Review: I have just bought this mouse and expected a crazy comfotable fsat response time mouse. After using it, it was nice for desktop worknad uses but when it went to gaming, it was awful. In Counter-strike, i had to click the mouse seeveral times just to be able to shoot as many shots as 3 clicks on a regualr mouse. So, if you are a gamer, i wouldn't recommend this mouse, but if your not, i would recommend this mouse.

Summary: Frag-Fest
Review: OK, so I'm not going to discuss "serious productivity" in this review, unless of course, you consider raising your frag count in UT2003 serious productivity! I have had this mouse for about 3 weeks. The shape, weight, and location of buttons is a perfect fit for me... this is evident by the fact that when I'm in the "heat of battle", I don't have to "think" about the mouse... the action just flows. Aside from the physical properties of the mouse, the accompanying software allows me to not only globally program the buttons, but to also assign specific commands within individual programs- for example: in UT2003, I have the side buttons programmed for jumping and running, leaving the wheel necessary for weapon changes only, thus eliminating the annoying unintended weapon change when trying to run in for the coup de grace... heh! And for the more serious minded... installation was a breeze. The assigning of button commands was intuitively simple. I find the flexibility of options the most appealling factor of this mouse, (whether I use it for gaming, or for "productivity" software). All-in-all, a good deal! Happy Fragging!
