Summary: Super-Mouse
Review: I bought this mouse last Christmas, and I love it. It's super-smooth, and easy to charge. It'll run a few days even without charging. It's a little heavy, and a bit expensive for a mouse, but the purchase is worth it. Just make sure you remember where you put it.

Gotta have one for your system.

Summary: PLEASE READ THIS BEFORE YOU BUY
Review: This mouse is [costly], but after reading the numerous rave reviews about it, I was happy to buy.

But what I have come to appreciate is that it does not seem to suit everyone. Basically, after much use of it, I hate the mouse. The reason is nothing to do with drag or anything like that, since it works perfectly, the reason is how usable it is.

I basically find it really hard to use. You go for example to hit a button and you find that you overshoot all the time. Actually it is quite dangerous, since I often click other buttons.

I am a programmer by trade, and so use mice all day long. At work and at home. So please understand I am not some newbie.

Anyway, my conclusion is the problem is inertia.

The mouse is too heavy. This means to use it you need to push it hard to get it to move, and have a stronger pull to get it to stop. The result for me is I constantly under or over estimate the control and it has been months!

This is not something you can get used to I think, but obviously other people love the mouse. I wonder why personally.

I am dumping mine for my old microsoft intellimouse.

Summary: Great Mouse
Review: I've owned a few of the different cordless mice including the freedom pro version with the keyboard by logitech. This one by far works and feels the best. Most of its buttons are useful except the two little ones fore and aft of the scroll button, they hard to click at best but they just duplicate functionality of the scroll anyway. The greatest thing about this is they didnt cut corners on performance because of battery usage since it is rechargable in its docking station, so you get full corded mouse functionality in a cordless package. When i first got it i neglected to put it back in its dock a couple times and under a lot of usage (about 20 hours) they batteries were drained. I put in some regular alkalines and it runs fine, but they only last about 30 hours (straight usage not idle) before they die. I've since become more adept at docking it and i basically put it on for a charge every other night to give it a better drain before each reacharge (saves on life of batteries).

This is my favorite mouse of any that i've seen.

Summary: Best mouse i have ever used
Review: I purchased this mouse because i was sick of the wires and tugging at the mouse to get more wire. I have owned it for close to 6 months now and i have absolutly no complaints. Some optical mice have problems reading movements on black surfaces not this one. I find it ergonomically comfortable the battery life is great and you can recharge it. I find myself putting it on the charges atleast weekly before i goto bed and its never stopped working for me. All in all if a wireless optical mouse is something your in the market for. This one is a winner. Also look for logitechs wireless keyboard which i also have and it too works great.

Summary: I expected more from this mouse
Review: The mouse is nice. Not amazing, only nice. It does have a good refresh rate and game playing is smooth.
There are, however, several problems that made me return it:
1) My hands started aching after a few days of use. It seems I have that problem with several of logitech mice. Microsoft is much better for my hands.
2) The cord for the base station is amazingly short, about 2 feet.
3) After I installed the new drivers my computer stopped going into standby mode.

If you must have bragging rights, it's a good choice, but for everyone else, save your money - for now.

Summary: Love it!
Review: Trying really hard to find a problem with no success so far. I previously used Logitech's MouseMan Wheel (which I really liked) and I find that the MX700 is actually more comfortable AND functional! So far the battery life has been more than sufficient. Couldn't be happier with this purchase!

Summary: Great mouse for wireless...
Review: This is a very good mouse to free your desktop of cords. My primary reason for getting one was mainly for the optical part, and then I kept getting my cord hung up on something else on my desk.

The mouse works as if it were a corded mouse. No noticeable delay in movement, plus the benefit of extra buttons. The mouse does enter a sleep mode if not used after a while, however, it only takes a second for it to wake back up.

Battery life...well, they rate the batteries that come with the mouse at 1700mah, however, I find that hard to believe. Mine lasted all of 2 days, before having to be put on the charger. I put some 1800mah batteries (NiMH) in it, and can now go for about 2 weeks without having to put it on the charger. I was disappointed at first, but now it seems just fine with the new batteries.

This mouse also seems very sensitive to any kind of lint on the mouse pad, or anything else for that matter. When a small piece of fuzz works it's way into the optical sensor, it can make the pointer jump around. This may be a drawback to all optical mouses, or just this one, I am not sure, because I've never had another one.

Range is exactly as stated on box, about 6 feet. Any more than this, and it will not function.

Overall, I'd buy it again.

Summary: Beware of RFI
Review: First off, let me say that I have no problems with this mouse, just with the conditions under which I am using it. I live in an area with high radio frequency interference (RFI). Television reception in my area looks as if there is a running microwave oven sitting on top of the television set. Cable reception is so weakened that the modem is forced to reset and search out a signal every few hours. Speakers constantly hiss and occasionally screech out noise and CB chatter. Not ideal conditions for a device that relies on a consistent radio signal. I cannot at this time write an informative review of this product, so this is just a warning to anyone who is living under the same conditions to buy the corded MX500 instead. It is identical in every way other than having a cord. Also, I would highly recommend buying a pair of Energizer NiMH batteries to take the place of the generic batteries that the MX700 ships with. Name-brand batteries will double the mousing time between recharges.
