Summary: Cool idea, wish the keys worked
Review: I have owned 2 of these now. They are an excellent idea, very slick and put together solidly. The only problem is I can't seem to get one that has all keys working on it. Good luck with the quality of yours if you plan on purchasing one, if mine worked, I would give it 6 stars. As I have had multiple problems with multiple keyboards, I say buyer beware.

Summary: Very convenient and amazingly compact
Review: I had a GoType keyboard a while back for a Palm III and found it too big to carry around comfortably, while at the same time having keys too small to effectively use. This Palm portable keyboard is truly convenient to carry around, very easy to set up to use, and, best of all, it's a full sized keyboard which makes it very comfortable to use just like my computer keyboard.

I highly recommend this gadget for both its innovation and its usefulness!

Summary: One of the most oooh-inducing products in years
Review: I've had one Palm or another for a little over three years now, so I count myself as fairly proficient at Graffiti, and even so there are those characters I can never seem to get the hang of ("x" and "8" in particular bedevil me). So even if this keyboard weren't one of the flat-out coolest things I'd ever seen, I'd still probably want one.

But guess what? It *is* one of the coolest things I've ever seen. The lovely origami-like articulation of the board as it unfolds, the satisfying soft click of the detents as the halves lock into place, the simple and intuitive way everything fits together (a Palm signature) - all add up to a superior product.

Plus, the keyboard allows one to take actual *notes*; even with a decent degree of Graffiti skill, my entries were always sorta telegraphic and staccato. Now I feel like my notes have *my* voice.

So. Fantastic design. Great execution. Enhanced utility. And enough style & wow-factor to lure the jealous stares of the non-geekly-inclined among your favorite coffeehouse's attractive young clientele. What are you waiting for?

Summary: Important Companion to Palm V
Review: Since I bought this device I have been to using it as much as possible in meetings where I need to take notes, in lieu of a legal pad. In tandem with the Palm, this keyboard is the first product that I have used that is a viable substitute for pen and paper. It is likely an important step toward a true paperless office. I recommend it to anyone with a Palm that needs to input anything longer than a word or two.

At this point, however, I have noted three problems:

1. The stand and socket where the Palm attaches to this keyboard are flimsy, nonintuitive and I have had trouble attaching and removing the Palm. I am not confident that this connection is completely sturdy. The rest of the keyboard feels solid.

2. The keyboard is not really appropriate for true laptop use, as it folds in the back and isn't properly balanced for a lap with the Palm attached. It works fine on an airplane tray table. I am no engineer, but I imagine future models could be designed to correct this. I love looking at this keyboard, it is truly a wonder of design!

3. I had to spend an afternoon on the Internet to figure out how to make my Palm a fully functional word processor compatible with Microsoft Word. Although it turns out that there are several options for this, you have to hunt them down in the places you find Palm shareware. However, the time was well invested as everything is working fine. I wish that Palm itself would publish this kind of software, it seems short and simple. Seems like you should just be able to go online, find it, and buy it in a couple of minutes.

Despite these things, if you have already invested in a Palm, this will enhance the value of your investment.

Summary: Caution for M100 owners!
Review: Palm insists that the curved bottom of the M100 means that the folding keyboards already available for the III and VII series will NOT work. Palm actually lists two different keyboards for these two sets of Palms and claims that the M100 version is not yet available. Just a warning to be a bit careful...

Summary: Small - Nice price
Review: This is a very good tool for any palm fan. It folds into a few sections making it about the same size as a regular palm. It is affordable - and small. Well worth the money.

Summary: MAKE YOUR PALM MORE THAN JUST A TOY!
Review: This is the best palm product i have bought. It is so compact when it is colapsed that it can fit in your pocket. when the keyboard is open, i can type as fast on it as on a regular keyboard. This in conjunction with a program called co-Launcher lets me launch every app on my Vx with out needing the stylus...just assign co-launcher to one of the keyboard command keys. I use it to take notes in class, keep track of email, write memo's and todo's.

A couple of improvements...It doesn't work if you have afterburner turned on (i'm sure this is afterburner's fault). Also, the arrows default to moving while in a memo that is in edit mode, You have to the function key + arrow to scroll in an email...this is inconvienient for me : (

Bottom line....i would pay double the price for this product. It has made my palm a million times more useful. Now it is more than just a game playing machine : )

Summary: My post-review experience...
Review: A while ago, I wrote a review of this product entitled "Very cool, but flimsy..." in which I indicated that, even though the expandable Palm keyboard had changed the way I worked with my Palm V, I'd had some problems with it. A few days ago, I was contacted by the president of the manufacturer (not his administrative assistant), offering to replace my keyboard. I got the FedEx a day later with my replacement keyboard. This kind of concern for my satisfaction impresses me as much as the thinking behind the keyboard itself. As a result of this very positive experience, I need to amend my original review from a lukewarm 3 to an enthusiastic 5. The product's still a great one, but the company's focus on the customer makes it even better.

Summary: Turn your Palm into a laptop with this keyboard
Review: Okay, so you can't really use the keyboard on your lap (it needs a flat hard surface), but it is much easier to use on an airplane, in a conference room, and in a classroom than a laptop. Rather than buying a laptop for college, I decided to get this keyboard to supplement my Palm Vx as a note-taking tool. It fits in my pocket, is very inconspicuous, and does not attract to much attention.

For anyone with a Palm, this is a must-have accessory. There is no logical reason, other than the high ... price, for someone not to buy this.

Summary: Best Palm Keyboard you can get!
Review: I know that you might think, "hmm, the best part of Palm is the graffiti and we should stick with that". I can write 29 words per minutes but there were times when you want to do faster, e.g. during a meeting and you need to take minutes and so on. That is when the Palm keyboard comes in handy. This keyboard was nicely designed (yup, you can flip it to the size of a Palm), using really "high-tech feel" material and it's full size key is great! There is one thing I really want it in my wish list. Currently the keyboard is similar to a notebook keyboard which doesn't have the "feel" of the keyboard of the desktop PC, I really want to see this to be improved as I don't like the feel of notebook keyboard. Am I expecting too much?
