Summary: A Bit Disappointing
Review: I bought this mouse for use with my MacIntosh. The best thing about it is that it enables using two buttons with the Mac (and the right click is my favorite feature of Windows 95/98 so I really miss it on the Mac).

Overall, though this product is a let down. It's too big. It's too easy to accidentally hit the wrong button and get "transported" to somewhere on the web I don't want to be. I thought the use of a light rather than a wheel would be great - no more dealing with a dirty mouse ball. Unfortunately, at least on my Mac, the tracking isn't all that precise and the mouse is a bit "jumpy."

I thought when I bought this mouse that I'd probably get a few of them - since I own several computers I thought I'd replace the mouseball "mice" with this one. However, several months later I've only bought one of these. It was good enough that it didn't go into my dead mouse bin (I've got several I've tried and rejected over the years), but not good enough to make me want more of them.

Summary: Ok, I'm gonna keep this...
Review: ...short and sweet. Just like the IntelliMouse. I had heard lots of good reviews, and I just HAD to go and get one. After a simple installation, a couple slices of pizza, one Coke, and two minutes later, I'm playing Team Fortress Classic on my PC, and GOD, this thing got me more kills than I could make with my old hunk of plastic, and guess what: the damn thing didn't stop or get clogged on me. Like I said, this review was short and sweet. If you think that this will make a good mouse for gaming, buy it. If you have a couple doubts, sleep on it. If you think MS can't hack your needs, than don't buy it. Well, I'm back off to playing TFC, to watch the dancing girls and exploding heads.

Summary: Too bad there isn't one for lefties.
Review: 'Nuff said....Most of the useful functionality is wasted on me...all those extra buttons...I can think of stuff to use them for, but I use my left hand.

One IMPORTANT note of caution: These mice ship with IntelliPoint 3.2, which does not work well in gaming, esp. Counter-Strike, Q3, and other FPS games. Find a copy of 3.1. I have no idea why, but I've talked to a number of gamers and that seems to be their experience as well.

Summary: Nice, but go with the Optical version instead.
Review: The Intellimouse Optical does everything the Explorer does, but it's smaller (Explorer is huge) and can be used for right or left hand too. The plastic used to make the Explorer also feels cheaper than the one used for the Optical. Overall, though, it's a good mouse.

Summary: Its Awsome
Review: I Love this mouse, no more cleaning the ball, and it has 5 buttons for use. I just wish it had more buttons. Also it can go to a USB or a PS/2 port it goes well with all my computers

Summary: State Of The Art For Ordinary Human Beings!
Review: As someone who has run through a number of "inexpensive" devices that quickly get dirty, wear out, and cause frustration and agitation when they start to act up on me, as they always seem to do at the worst possible moment, I sure have enjoyed the run of good luck I have had with this new faster and more convenient mouse so far. Believe me, I am no technophile, but I do use both the keyboard and mouse a great deal in either writing or surfing the net. As a consequence, I have loved the Intellimouse in the short time I have had it. Since it operates on an optical basis, it is faster and much more flexible and convenient to use than the traditional mouse products I am accustomed to using. Take it from a normal human being; this is a great product, one that should last longer and be much more pleasant and dependable to use than the old types! Enjoy!

Summary: Best Mouse On The Market
Review: What else could you ask for? This mouse is by far the most accurate mouse I've ever used (And I use them all of the time all over the place! ) Your hand cups this mouse perfectly and enables you to glid across any surface w/out any hesitation from the cursor on the screen. The programmable buttons make cruising thru programs from an Internet Browser, to high powered Business Tools, to Personal Games an ease and FUN! I don't care what anybody else says, this mouse was a sinch to install, its plug and play -- I didn't even have to install the software before it started working (I did anyway just to be safe, but I haven't seen the use of it) I didn't buy this mouse thru Amazon.com, but I wish I had, it was a lot more expensive. But no matter the price, the Intelli-Mouse Explorer is definitely a great buy!

Summary: Great While it Lasted
Review: I received this product in mid-May, by Mid-August it inexplicably stopped working. It had power, the driver was fine, but the cursor doesn't move. ...I'm out of luck. I will say that I thought it was great, right up until it stopped working. Let the buyer beware!

Summary: Best Mouse Bought to Date
Review: I am somewhat of a computer person. That is to say I'm on the computer at least 8 hours per day. Not only is this mouse the most comfortable mouse I have ever used, but also the most reliable. I have never cleaned it, it never stops working or "skips around." The IE buttons on the "thumb side" of the mouse a very useful and perfectly placed for my hands. I highly recommend it!
