Summary: A good idea, but....
Review: I initially liked this mouse, but there were some problems that finally caused me to put it away in a drawer and go back to my Logitech wireless wheel mouse.

Pros:
1. Very comfortable in the hand
2. Rechargeable batteries
3. Scroll pad is a great idea, but needs some work (see below)
4. Good software

Cons:
1. The first problem right out of the box is one of the default settings of the software. The default setting for the button just behind the scroll pad is set by default to switch between scrolling up and down to scrolling right and left. It is very easy to accidentally hit this button and change the scrolling to right and left without realizing it. If you're not familiar with this mouse it then seems that scrolling has quit working. Of course, once you figure out what has happened it's no problem.
2. The scroll pad is a great idea and very nice to use. However, the "fast scrolling" portions of the scrolling pad are at the front and back of the pad and not separated from it. This makes it easy to accidentally touch these "fast scrooling" areas instead of the "normal" scrolling area. These "fast scrolling" areas should be separated from the "norma;l" scrolling area by some sort of small plastic ridge.
3. It frequently seems that the mouse clicks are not transmitted and you have to repeat them

It's too b ad that these proiblems exist, beause this mouse is very nice to use otherwise.

Summary: i wish i had researched before buying...
Review: i really wish that i had read reviews before i bought this mouse! it seems to have the same problems as the corded kengsington studio mouse (it looks exactly the same). now that i've read the reviews, i seem to have the same problem many others have had. one thing i NEED on a mouse is a scroll button/ pad... the scrolling DOES take a lot of effort and it usually stops working all together. i have to restart my computer to make it work. at first i thought it was the battery, but no. it's the mouse. sometimes the scroll might not work but it will shut down one of my applications for some reason if i accidentally touch the scroll. however, it's RIDICULOUSLY frustrating bc the base is detecting the scroll pad BUT IT IS NOT RESPONDING. as cool as it may look, i don't think it's quite worth it.
