Rating: Summary: no-frills mouse that works Review: Pros: This is a no-frills mouse with 2 buttons and a scroll wheel that does its job. The optical tracking on this mouse wins hands-down against mechanical mice. There are no problems with the mouse only tracking in one dimension. Cons: The included software caused me difficulties, but the mouse functions normally without it installed. I also had to experiment with surfaces for my mouse. Tracking was poor on my mousepad, but I found that books and folders worked fine.
Rating: Summary: Not bad, but could be better Review: Pros: Sexy, small, slick, optical Cons: scrolling wheel is flimsy, MS optical mice are much better in this regard. Set the number of lines per wheel turn to "1", and then it'll be better. Set it to 3 or more, and you'll lose control, sometimes jumps more than 3, sometimes not at all. But I set it to 1 and it's working well now.
Rating: Summary: My Favorite All Around Mouse Review: I've used almost every mouse available during my past 30 years of being involved with computers (since before mice commercially existed). Focusing on the value of this mouse as well as the design and responsiveness (yes it's an optical mouse and as such it may not be a hard core gamer's first choice) this is my favorite all around mouse. It's pretty darn close to being as good as the Microsoft IntelliMouse Explorer and in some ways its better in that the smaller size fits and feels better in my hand. It doesn't have all of the buttons that the IntelliMouse Explorer has, but do you really plan on using all of those buttons? So, for an all around high quality mouse that is reasonable priced, and nice to look at too I can't think of a better value.
Rating: Summary: Good Product. Review: Optical tracking system is very good. The scroller wheel is smooth.Very comfortable to work.
Rating: Summary: Perfect for left-handers Review: This is one of the few optical mice that works for either right- or left-handed people. That might seem like a trivial issue when buying a mouse--unless you're left-handed. Otherwise, this is a nice, solid choice and the price is right. It tracks accurately, seems to have exceptional sensitivity and "feel" and the blue color is a nice touch in an otherwise gray and tan computing world. This is an excellent choice for the money!
Rating: Summary: Throw Out The Mouses With A Ball!!!! Review: I am using this mouse as I type this. Previously I was using the mouse that came with my computer until the ball didn't want to move anymore. That was very frustrating not being able to navigate quickly enough. I decided to toss that mouse and I took a trip to Best Buy. This mouse caught my eye #1 because of the color, secondly since I had that experience with the mouse that had a ball I wanted a change, no ball. This mouse was a good price considering the features and yes I love the fact that the bottom has the red light. I definately recommend this mouse.
Rating: Summary: Great mouse! Review: I only really bought this because of the great rebate deal. Imagine my surprise when this mouse arrived and works FANTASTIC. It smoothly glides and doesn't have wheels to get gummed up. I love it, great job logitech. I have put aside my M$ scroller mouse. Note: This mouse does NOT work on all surfaces however. It did not work on my glossy white desk surface. I had a thin piece of pressboard that i put down on my mouse area and it works great on it. It even works on my pants, and even on my cat (if she is still, hehe).
Rating: Summary: Nice and smooth, but... Review: I've found that optical mice are incredibly superior when compared to traditional ball mice. They effortlessly glide across your mousepad (assuming that your surface isn't reflective or glossy at all, then they tend to get a little confused.) This mouse is a nice relatively inexpensive way to get that. ...As great as that seems, the scroll wheel (on Logitech mice in general) is pretty [poor]. It's very choppy, it sometimes goes several clicks before it decides to start scrolling, and it often keeps going after you've stopped scrolling. It was very frustrating at first, I'm now sadly used to it.
Rating: Summary: New Mac owners, beware! Review: If you own a Mirror-Door G4 tower (Mac), be aware that you may be buying a mouse that you won't be able to use after the first 2 hours. When I first plugged it in, I loved it completely. It's very smooth and responsive, and feels like you're mousing on silk. However, after my Mac went to sleep, then woke up again, the mouse wouldn't recognize any movement at all. I can still right- and left-click, and use the scroll wheel, but any efforts to move it even a pixel in any direction fail. The red light that glowed in the beginning doesn't light up at all now, so I suspect that the optical sensor is dead somehow. An email to Logitech got me the (fast and polite) response that they are aware of a problem with "dual processor" Macs, and are working on a fix, which they will post to their website. I would have given this mouse 1 star, except that it DID work at the beginning. If it still worked, I'd give it 5 stars without hesitating.
Rating: Summary: Good functionality Review: I like this better than the Microsoft Two Button Optical Mouse. For starters, it fits in your palm better than the Microsoft Mouse in that the size is smaller. The wheel does not make a sound compared to the Microsoft mouse. When in use, you can see the red optical light. Not much else to theis mouse, since it is only the basic two button mouse with a wheel. Overall, a good buy.
