Summary: Works with Macintosh
Review: Try using USB Overdrive instead of the supplied software.

Once you use a wheel, you can't go back.

Summary: Great for Everyday Use
Review: This is a great mouse, as long as you're not a gamer. For everyday stuff, it works fine. The mouse has a sleek shape, fitting perfectly in your hand, and the thumb button is very convenient. The software that comes with the mouse is easy to install and makes it easy to configure the buttons for whatever you want to do. The wheel itself is a little loose--it's very easy to press unintentionally when you're trying to spin it--but it's okay as soon as you get used to it.

The optical component of the mouse is what makes it unsuitable for gaming. If you move the mouse too fast, the pointer bounces across the screen and usually comes to end up almost right where it started. This erratic response makes it impossible to play games that require mouse movements, such as RTS games, or Quake.

Summary: EEEEEPPPPPP! This Mouse Roars!...
Review: I received this mouse as a gift and I like it. It fits my hand perfect (as a right hander.) If a left hander were to use my mouse they would find it very uncomfortable (if using with their left hand.) The thumb button is great to re-program for games. The wheel is smoother then the Microsoft Optical counterpart.

I use the keyboard whenever possible for shortcut keys but some activities such as surfing the web and playing games can be greatly enhanced by having a good mouse. This mouse has fulfills all the needs I have.

Optical is the way to go if you spend large amounts of time at a PC. It avoids the snags and slowdowns of non-optical mice. The optical logo is nice if your in the dark (and your monitor goes to sleep) so you can quickly grab the mouse and active the monitor.

This is a great affordable mouse. It's a must get if your still using a non-optical or non-wireless mouse!

Summary: Great mouse but maybe not for games
Review: A solid mouse which I use with my laptop, often running it over my couch, a chair, my leg, etc. without a problem. It glides smoothly and accurately at moderate speeds, but I'm not sure I'd use this as a gaming mouse: it has a tendency to jump if you move it REALLY quickly, as you might in a game. Of course, you'd never have to move it that quickly when working with other applications, and for that purpose it's more than adequate. This mouse is a real pleasure, and I like the software. I'd never go back to a standard, non-optical mouse, except possibly for use with games. The only time I encountered a real problem was when I plugged it into the PS2 port on my laptop. It made the cursor hop all over uncontrollably (the mouse was essentially useless). I tinkered with the software but to no avail. A switch to the USB port using the adapter fixed the problem, though I'm not sure what I would have done had I needed to use the PS2 port. I should note I never cotacted Logitech about the problem, so they might have been able to fix it. Overall a great, comfortable, solidly constructed mouse.

Summary: go mousey!
Review: i've been using this mouse for a year or so and i've never had a problem with it...

the design makes this mouse very comfortable to hold, and for those reviewers saying they're more comfortable holding the mouse with their fingertips and resting their wrists on the desk/mouse pad...every now and then when i feel like reclining i hold the mouse with my fingertips and i'm fine, it's very comfortable, no matter how i hold this mouse it feels comfortable...

the blue light on the mouse looks cool, i like the way it glows when it is dark...and the light does NOT get warm at all...i dont even notice it...

the scroll button is perfectly positioned at the tips of my fingers so it is easily accessed...i have only noticed it lag once or twice, the only time the scroll ever really messes up is in ACDsee when im scrolling through pictures...the thumb button could be useful but i dont ever use it really, most of the time i forget its there, but sometimes i use it for various tasks (such as copy, cut, paste, ctrl, shift, F5 [very useful for people who program with ms visual c++ because F5 = compile], etc)

this mouse responds very quickly and does not ever jerk...and its not expensive at all...all in all, this mouse is a great buy...why dont you own one already?? =P

Summary: NOT PERFECT, BUT VERY GOOD
Review: I bought this mouse to replace the generic one I received with a new PC. I had gotten used to the wheel at work and wanted something similar for home. I've had it for several months and was impressed enough to buy a second one. Getting rid of the ball was very important. A clean mousepad is no longer required.

The length fits my palm but in the end that turned out to be unimportant. I now use a fairly high wrist rest an operate the device with my fingertips. The driver interface is somewhat overkill. I like my buttons to be traditional. Making the wheel a third button is a nice feature. I do not use the thumb button.

Once in a while on a glossy surface or a dark room, the cursor will drift at my home machine's startup. Right-clicking tends to recover focus. I don't know if this is an Windows Me or a driver problem. I have not experienced this on my Win2000 PC.

Summary: Too long. Can't use the mouse pad so no more wrist support.
Review: I bought an MS IntelliMouse Explorer for home and it's not bad, no problems yet, but I got used to the scroll wheel and buttons so I wanted one for work. I thought I would save a few bucks and go with the Logitech. First, I was surprised to find out they wasted two AA batteries for the little red flashing light on the package (no green points for them). The install was easy -- no problems (Windows 2000 on a Compaq Deskpro, using PS2 port). Right away I noticed I couldn't use my mouse pad since the mouse was so long -- even after adjusting the speed/acceleration. I have larger than normal hands and found the mouse to be too narrow -- my outer two fingers are kind of crunched in an awkward position. Also, the wheel is not as smooth as on the MS IE (not a really big deal though). The blue light is cool. The rubber grips on the sides make it easy to lift when necessary, something the MS IE should have had. Performance is good, very smooth motion and fast response. All in all, this is a good mouse, mainly for average size hands, and for those who don't use a mouse pad with a wrist support. If I could only find a mouse like the MS IE with the cool blue light and rubber grips like this one, in black - now I'm just dreaming.

Summary: Clunky
Review: We bought this as a replacement for the cheap-o mouse our PC came with.
Although I like not having to worry about cleaning a mouse ball, I still don't particularly care for this mouse.
I am right handed, altough I can see how this mouse can cause problems for left-handed persons. It is a very thick mouse, with a slant to the right. A left handed user may find this mouse difficult to use.
The main reason I don't like this mouse it that it's too big. I don't know who they made this thing for, but my hand does not fit very comfortably on the mouse. My mother and sister have much smaller hands, so they find this thing even more difficult to use.
Personally, I prefer the good, old (going on 3 years), omni-hand design Logitech track ball mouse I have on my laptop.

Summary: Mucht better than MS mouse, buy this one!
Review: I've been using many of Microsoft optical mouse products, they are suffering from a serious problem-poor accuracy when high speed moving.Sometimes they may go crazy if you move your cursor a little faster. This mouse is grest, with it's accuracy, ergonomic shaping, and price! The most important thing-no more crazy again!Ideal mouse for gamers and serious users who require a stable cursor.
