Summary: Great mouse
Review: Great mouse, feels wonderful, back button is essential for web surfing. Not sure if the two optical sensors actually make a difference, but I am happy with my mouse. In the future, I would buy a cordless version though.

Summary: I can't get enough of this mouse
Review: I absolutely love this mouse... I have about 5 of them. After Logitech stopped making the Wingman Gaming mouse, I switched over to the Dual Optical. At the time this came out (about 3 years ago), it was the ONLY mouse that tracks fast enough for gaming. The SHAPE of the mouse is sublime.
It's now 2004. This mouse has been discontinued, which is sad. I bought an MX510 for kicks and it's now sitting in my drawer. The MX510 was bubbly, heavy, bulky, the buttons slip. Basically all the reasons why I hated the MS Explorer mouse is now the new Logitech range. Sigh.
Oh well.. good thing I have a stash of these. :)

Summary: The best mouse I've ever owned
Review: I bought this mouse when it was brand new to the market and cost quite a bit, for a mouse. It is, however, the best mouse I have ever owned. It fits my hand very well, and most mice don't- I have big hands. The dual optical sensors make it a great mouse for any surface, as it will track over almost anything. The very high resolution and superior tracking of two sensors also make this mouse probably the best mouse you can buy for gaming. First person shooters are great with this mouse. Some people don't like this mouse because the drivers don't include wheel functionality in games. You can, however, download a patch from the Logitech website that makes the wheel work in games.
bottom line: now that the price for this mouse is pretty low, you should buy it. You will be happy.

Summary: I've tried 'em all, and this is the best!
Review: I go through a lot of mice because of the nature of my job (graphic design), and for comfort and reliability, this is so far the best I've used, and I've used all the top brands (including Microsoft's and Kensington's). The styling and button positions are excellent, and if you're into gaming, this is a must-have (unless you want more buttons, but I think four buttons (the scroll wheel is a button as well!) is more than enough for me. It's mac-compatible and comes with mac os x software, though I personally recommend downloading usb overdrive x instead (just works better).

Summary: Best optical wired mouse
Review: I just replaced a Kensington optical wheel mouse with this Logitech. The Kensington mouse did not have a smooth movement. Also, the "acceleration" feature did not function. The factory customer service rep said this is standard for Kensington mice, because the acceleration feature is for a trackball. The logitech dual optical mouse is such an improvement! The dual optical sensors make it really precise, with a smooth movement! Logitech has the best acceleration function that I have found in a mouse. Also, the mouse glides on the mouse pad, whereas the Kensington mouse seemed to stick, then slip, repeatedly. Summary: smooth, precise, and great acceleration. I have Win XP and have no problems with the mouse software.

Summary: Fantastic Upgrade from a Microsoft Mouse
Review: I just replaced a Microsoft optical wheel mouse with this Logitech. The Microsoft mouse jumped all over the place from time to time, and would lock up for 2-3 seconds when it felt like it. The logitech dual optical mouse is such an improvement! The dual optical sensors make it really precise -- it's so good that I feel like I'm using a tablet. This mouse also fits in my hand better than the MS mouse did, and has a better heft to it. It has a nifty button on the left side of the mouse, next to my thumb, that acts as button 3, which is useful in the applications that I use.I use this mouse under RedHat 7.3, and it worked flawlessly as soon as I plugged it in. Definitely Linux-Friendly!

Summary: Only part of what I bargained for
Review: I just started playing first person shooters and needed a corded mouse for better optical tracking. I was using the Microsoft wireless optical mouse which I love, but isn't ideal for playing FPSs. The optical tracking on this mouse is outstanding, but there were a few problems. I went in to the software to program the buttons and went to program the thumb button, and you can only program it as a keyboard key or keyboard function. The scroll button you can actually program as just a button, which annoys me because I can not use it for the game. I also went to the store and bought an new optical mousepad for the desk which was padded, as the one I had before wasn't. The mouse jumps around the screen when I use the padded mousepad. It worked flawlessly once I got frustrated and threw the new mousepad on the floor and went back to the uncushioned one. I do like the mouse, but there are just a few changes I would make.

Summary: Good shape, not made for long hours usage
Review: I liked this mouse. The shape is weird and takes a while to get use to. The only problem i have is that after using the mouse for 3 hours straight or longer, my pinky will start to sore and hurt. Another thing is make sure that it fits your hand is comfortable for you. You can buy it, but keep the box and reciept

Summary: 4 Button mouse with a 5 star design!
Review: I love this mouse. I upgraded from a regular single optical mouse by logitech. I am a struggling Graphics artist and the dual optics looked good to me, plus i love the side button for those command-click or shift-click (Windoze) for opening a web site in a second window feature. It works perfectly on my mac, and i will probably get one for my PC as well. Its a nice upgrade, tracks well and feels good in hand. You will not be disappointed at all if you buy. It's worth every penny. Enjoy.

Summary: A great mouse!! 4.5 stars
Review: I purchased this mouse as a replacement for my Mouseman wheel mouse because I was tired of having to remove dog hair and other debris from the ball. I was not disappointed! This mouse fits comfortably in my right hand (lefties take note, this mouse is designed for right hand use only), and the 4 buttons (left, right, thumb, and wheel) are for the most part very easy to use. The only reason I didn't give this a 5-star rating is because the thumb button is a little hard to activate - it should be placed a bit higher like it is on the Mouseman wheel mouse I was using prior to this. Other than than I have no complaints. I have had no problems with tracking, and the mouse has worked flawlessly. Each of the 4 buttons is programmable for a variety of functions. A nice feature on this mouse is the "web wheel" function, which can be assigned to the scroll wheel. Clicking the scroll wheel activates the web wheel menu, which allows you to perform basic browser functions like refresh, home, favorites, and back. The web wheel menu is also pre-programmed with 5 websites, each of which you can access directly from the menu without having to open a browser first. You can also program your own websites if you wish to change logitech's default ones. If you're looking for a reliable, user-friendly optical mouse, look no further.
