Summary: Excellent design
Review: This is one of the best computer-related purchases I have made in a long time. The keyboard, in particular, is very well-designed, providing a comfortable built-in wrist support and the best key feel/action of any keyboard I've ever used (not including the classic IBM model). The mouse also has an excellent feel and is easy to use. I am not a fan of any of the Microsoft optical devices because they have too many buttons, and I often find myself pressing them unintentially. I do not have this problem with the Logitech model. Wireless connection works flawlessly. No complaints. A+

Summary: Very good product, would buy again
Review: I would still buy this keyboard and mouse again, but want you to know about two issues: 1) keyboard is slightly larger than my previous one due to the handy scroll button on the left side. So it doesn't fit well in the slide out tray on my desk. 2) make sure you push the connect button on all three devices. The red button on the mouse is extremely small so its easy to miss. Wasted a few hours reading tech support FAQ to find out why my mouse doesn't work when all I needed to do was push the button.My brother-in-law has the Microsoft wireless optical mouse which I compared to this. The Logitech mouse just fells better and with a lower price, I recommend it over the Microsoft one.

Summary: Very Good - Missing NumLock and Caps Indicators
Review: I love this product. I've been using it for 6 Month. Downloaded the XP Drivers and installed them, but you do not need the drivers unless you are after the special Keys and functionality. I have it connected to a MultiSystem Switch with W2K Servers and XP workstations which I use for testing Software and it works without any special drivers. I use it for work and mouse intensive games and I'm happy with it. I use rechargable battery Sets which works out very well. I wish they had a NumLock and Caps Lock LEDs.

Summary: Best thing to happen to computers since 3D videocards!
Review: When i bought this keyboard, I didn't expect it to be so great. I was new to the whole prospect of cordless accessories, so I was skeptical at their quality. I was pleasantly suprised when I connected the keyboard/mouse combo! It worked perfectly, better then I could ever expect it to, I'd say it worked better then a mouse/keyboard with cords! A definate advantage here is that it's cordless, but thats not where the advantages end! The mouse is optical, that means that instead of a mouse ball there is a laser, so you will never have to clean the mouse again! I was so used to cleaning my old mouse every 2 days, because it was always getting stuck. Thats not a problem with optical mouses. But I'd say the greatist advantage of this keyboard/mouse combo are the convinient shortcuts on the keyboard. I use them so frequently, it makes my computing expireience much easier. The price is something no one can beat, you'll get the most value for your doller with this keyboard/mouse set! Oskar Vidaurre

Summary: Excellent (Uber) Keyboard/Mouse Combo
Review: The Logitech Cordless Freedom Optical Mouse and Keyboard has an extremely nice design. The keys are quiet, it's wireless obviously, which allows you to move around freely with the keyboard and use the mouse anywhere without worrying about wires all over the place. Some of the minor technicallities may lead one to think that this product is bad or less desirable. Batteries: It's possible to use the keyboard and mouse for months (4+) without replacing the batteries (using them 8+ hours a day, 5 to 6 days a week). Taking out the batteries before an anticipated long period of non-use and watching to make sure the mouse 'blinks' idle when it should (otherwise take batteries out and put back in and reset connection)... Also, use 'popular' batteries... they last longer. Mouse Response: Make sure the mouse is used on a non-reflective surface... Some mouse pads will not work well, but who needs mouse pads with an optical? Keyboard: The programmable keys are a real nice addition. They can be made to open websites or applications of your choosing or a 'menu'. And depending where you place the receiver, the keyboard may respond kinda funky. If so, strategically place the receiver where it will work smoothly. Also, the volume control on the keyboard is a real handy feature especially when you have a speaker setup that prevents you from reaching its volume control or if you have a sound card without a remote control. However, if you're working on something extremely serious and important where keyboard and mouse response is a matter of life and death, like when you're gaming (MMORPG or Shooter Action games), keep a wired keyboard and mouse nearby... This product is a little too expensive to break or throw out the window in rage when you get killed because the keyboard or mouse did not properly transmit. Overall, this product is excellent for what it is, what it looks, and how it functions for it's price.

Summary: just a couple of complaints, otherwise wonderful
Review: OK, we all know this is the keyboard and mouse to get if you're going cordless/optical. It works great for the most part, no question, so I'll just skip to the complaints: 1. A couple of the keys sometimes stick or are hard to press down. Quite possibly just a "sample defect" on my unit. 2. The Logitech driver for the multimedia volume knob on the keyboard works fine, but the visual "green bar" that indicates what the volume is, gets stomped on by some other driver on my system. So I have no visual as to what the volume is, but I can still control it. Cool, but not 100% cool; in fact I wasted a lot of time de-and-re-installing tons of drivers before I figured out it was hopeless. Again, sure, it's just my config, not yours, but still... 3. Last, least, but most annoying of all: Can't Logitech make TWO cordless keyboards, one (like this one) with every bell, whistle, button, wheel, dial, and knob on earth (which nobody uses -- at least, not me); and another one, that's JUST A WIRELESS KEYBOARD?!!?!? They could have made this keyboard, which is absolutely monstrously large, about half the size if they'd just left out all the junk. I don't know what the theory is here -- maybe they want to give you so many buttons, that you don't actually need a mouse anymore? Then you can truly compute while kicking back in a recliner with the keyboard on your lap? Does anybody actually DO that? Why not have (yet another) wireless keyboard -- with a little built-in trackball, like Compaq's rack-based server keyboard? Other than that, I think it's great. I put rechargeable AA batteries in about six months ago, and haven't had to recharge yet. I couldn't recommend it more; I'm even thinking about buying one on my own dime to use at work. Just don't expect perfection.

Summary: This Product is a JUNK...
Review: I have been using this product for 2 weeks now. I really like the keyboard , it works flawlessly , if you dont bother about the battery stuff. But the mouse is really bad. It consumes a lot of battery, the first pair lasted me 5 days as i am a programmer.The mouse hangs up , even though the key board works, so I have to shut down the computer and restart it. The keyboard so far seems to be out of problem. I would not recommend this product for intensive computer users. Unless they want to keep on changing batteries every alternate weeks. And secondly if you have a patience to reeboot when even the mouse stops working. ...Over All , the product is still in the infant stage of development. hopefully they may come out with some rechargable keboards and mouse in the future just like our cordless phones. This product really S U C K S

Summary: This product is a disaster
Review: This product never worked correctly on either of the two systems I tried it on.When I uninstalled it from my Windows 2000 system, I lost all use of keyboard and had to reinstall the operating system. While the physical product seemed fine, it never worked correctly. It also seemed to interfere with other parts of the computer. The windows 2000 system had always been stable. As soon as the Logitech software was installed it started to crash and suffer all sorts of other problems. As I mentioned it could
not be properly uninstalled. I had to install a new copy of the OS on that system. A total disaster. On the windows 98 machine it did not cause crashes however a number of other applications stopped working. Some of them were critical for work. The keyboard and mouse software could at least be uninstalled properly from this system. After that everything worked correctly. I did check Logitech's web site for updated drivers or other errata, but found none. I recommend NOT buying this. and I would hesitate to buy anything from Logitech.
