Summary: Look ma! No cords
Review: This is a great mouse. You have to enjoy not dealing with mouse cord issues. My receiver is about 5' away, and I have no problems. I loved configuring the side and top mouse buttons to behave in a way that makes sense to me. The ergonomic design is nice. It's comfortable, though as a personal preference I'd choose a slightly longer body. Further, the extra 2 buttons are placed such that they are easy to access, but I don't hit them by accident.

Summary: I LOVED It.... Until the batteries died a week later
Review: I think this product is GREAT, besides the fact that it just eats batteries. Im not sure if its because its an optical mouse or what, but it just eats them alive. As if it matters, the range was amazing, as I was able to operate my computer located in the top floor of my house from down in the basement.I tried buying top of the line rechargeable batteries but it just ate through those in less than a week. Oh well.

Summary: Slick as a cat's ...wait, is that a mixed metaphor?
Review: This "wee, sleekit beastie" to quote from Robert Burns, is one slick mouse. I already was a big fan of the Logitech cordless mouse, but the OPTICAL cordless mouse is even better. No cord to drag on your wrist, a vastly improved optical base that beats any other optical mouse I've tried, this is the BEST mouse I have ever used. It's slightly larger than the original cordless Logitech mouse, which is an improvement. It has nicely sculpted sides for a comfy grip. The color is a cool silver with trendy translucent dark blue. The receiver has been redesigned to look like half a mouse (not the old, dull beige box, this is also done in the same translucent blue.) Looks real good, works better.

Summary: Highly Overrated
Review: After almost entirely positive reviews, I picked up this product and was very disappointed. First off, the included software crashed my windows XP professional, although Logitech has apparently resolved this issue now. This is the only mouse I have ever used or seen in which the buttons don't go to the edge of the mouse. They are very small and closed off, which made use uncomfortable. The mouse itself is slow and imprecise (ONLY 1500 pictures per second compared to 6000 from Microsoft's new mice) and extremely frustrating when using Photoshop, games, or any demanding app. the unit is overpriced, heavy and the side button is placed awkwardly... I hate to sound like a corporate shill, but the new Microsoft Wireless Intellimouse Explorer, which I now own, is a far superior unit (4x the pictures per second, better DPI, better design and feel, better included software). Sorry Logitech, better luck next time!

Summary: Outstanding!
Review: I have never used a cordless or optical mouse before, but I can't believe there is a mouse better than this one! Set up was too easy with WinME. I didn't even have to reboot to get it too work. The ability to plug it into either the USB or PS/2 port makes it extremely versatile. The buttons are right where they need to be. The optical sensor makes its control amazing. It took a little bit of time to make full use of cordlessness of it, but after a few days, I already feel confined when I use my corded mouse at work. No more cleaning rollers for me!

Summary: Some incompatibilities, but good mouse
Review: I enjoy using this mouse. It works well no matter how I have it positioned and the response seems instantaneous. If there is a lag, I can't observe it. The side button is a bit awkward to reach but not too big a problem. It feels fine and the buttons and wheel are not too sensitive. I have not had it long enough to comment on battery life. I am also not a gamer so I can't comment on it's suitability for gaming. I'm looking forward to never having to clean another mouse and I don't miss the cord one bit. Although I find that sometimes I have to look for my mouse the same way I have to look for my TV remote. The price was a little high, but it was the only optical, cordless I could find at this time. If you are using a port replicator like a KVM switch to share this mouse with multiple machines or if you need to use an mouse extension cable for the receiver unit, be aware that they do not work with this mouse's driver software. I found this from experience and from research on the Logitech support site. I am able to get the mouse to work with the Microsoft PS2 (Intelliport) driver however. I'm not sure what features I lose because I typically just use the scroll wheel and 2 buttons (which work fine in this configuration). You can also adjust the mouse pointer speed, double click speed and assign a function to the thumb button and scroll button. Overall, I would have to recommend this mouse if you are looking for a cordless....I've had the mouse for 6 months now. It's still going strong. I've replaced the batteries about 3 times--I'm on my fourth set. I use the mouse for 8 hours a day, 5 days a week and some on the weekends and I'm getting more than a month per set--which I find acceptable. I don't know what I like best, cordless or optical. Both are very convenient. I highly recommend this mouse if you can justify the cost.

Summary: Best cordless mouse in the market
Review: I had been sitting on the fence about getting an optical mouse for quite some time. It is really hard to justify buying a $70 mouse; specially when there are so many models available. I had been trying different models for several months and have to admit that this one not only feels right due to the ergonomic shape for right-hand use, it is well built. Some other features I like is that it has 800 DPI (dots per inch) resolution, which makes it very acurate. The short setup instructions are a must read, specially to have the wireless base detect the mouse. Luckily they are straight forward and easy (although small print) to read. I have not yet tested this mouse for gaming but so far the response time is very fast (under Win2K using the USB port.) The instructions also point out that it works best on light matte surfaces, which might explain the complaints from other reviewers; it works just fine on printed fabric also. Another feature I like is the third button close to the base. (the desk.) This makes it easier to grab the mouse without having to be overly cautions about clicking extra buttons like some models from the competition. Highly recommended!

Summary: Buy this mouse
Review: If a mouse can be amazing, this one is. When I got it I never thought it could make this much of a difference. It works smothly and flawlessly. The fact that it is cordless makes zero effect on performance. The only complaint is that the right click button is too small. I used to have a MS Intellimouse and my middle finger would hang over the side of the mouse to right click. On this mouse there is dead space there. I guess I will get used to it. There is only one additional button from a normal mouse on the left side. I have mine set to be an internet back button. I guess it is usefull, but I could live without it. The batteries last forever and there is plenty of warning when they are about to go. In short, a great product...

Summary: Cordless Mouseman Optical-doesn't work with other logitech
Review: I have generally been happy with Logitechs products in the past, but I can't say I'm even remotely happy or comfortable with this product. I had been using a logitech cordless I touch keyboard and cordless wheel mouse for about 1 1/2 years when first my mouse started acting up and it & the keyboard died. I had another cordless keyboard (same kind as prev) and I went and got this mouse. Well..they don't work together at all. It appears that if you buy them separately they can't be used. It doesn't tell you that anywhere, I had to search online to find out. So once I hooked up a diff. older (corded) keyboard we got it going. While it moves and responds well optically, it is pretty uncomfortable to use for any more than the briefest period of time. The top and side thumb buttons just don't seem to be in a comfortable, ergonomic position. At least I haven't found them to be. After about a half hour surfing, I find my hand becoming uncomfortable and at times cramping up. I didn't have this problem with the previous cordless logitech. My advice....if you are able to try it out for a while first. If I had, I would have passed on this one and just stayed with the same one I had.

Review: That pretty much sums it up. Have had it at home for about 2 months, and it's in my hand every night and most of the weekend, with no problems. It seems perfect for left-handed people like me, though, and I can't imagine using it with my right hand.
