Product Info Reviews

Description:

Logitech's MouseMan Traveler makes a sleek and nimble companion, providing reliable optical mousing on the road or at your desk. It's light, easy to set up, and perfectly suited for use in either the right or left hand. The mouse is optimized for a USB connection, but a handy PS/2 adapter accommodates older computers, too.

Features
Besides being small and fast, the MouseMan Traveler simplifies Web browsing through Logitech's handy WebWheel. The WebWheel, like the mouse's left and right buttons, can serve any purpose you choose--you can easily assign functions such as click/select, auto scroll, double-click, etc. in the Mouse Properties window. When designated specifically as the default, however, the wheel not only scrolls up and down within a given browser window, but also performs standard browser functions like Reload, Back, and Stop, reducing your mousing time and, accordingly, your wrist strain.

Within your browser, simply press the wheel like a button to access the WebWheel menu, and all additional options appear in a small, circular field immediately beneath the cursor. You can even configure the menu to let you zip to your favorite sites without so much as having to move your cursor to your favorites list. WebWheel functionality requires Windows 95, 98, 2000, NT 4.0, Me, or XP for the PC and Mac OS 8.6 or later for Macintosh computers, as well as an Internet service provider (ISP) account.

Compatibility
If you're using a PC, make sure you have Windows 95, 98, 2000, NT 4.0, Me, or XP; an available USB or PS/2 port (Windows 98, 2000, Me, or XP is required for USB hookup); and a CD-ROM drive. Mac users need to be using Mac OS 8.6 or later, with both a USB port and a CD-ROM drive. --Michael Mikesell
