Summary: Mouse works
Review: So far so good with the optical mouse, although, I need to get a better mousepad that works well with optical. Even w/o the mousepad, there is a smooth movement with this mouse. Only problem I have is that the red optical light shines through the mouse and acts like a light during the night. If possible might want to replace the lower half shell of the mouse.

Summary: Loose your balls - Go Optical
Review: Switched over to optical mice when Amazon had the Microsoft mice on sale for next to nothing several months ago. I'm totally sold and would never go back to the old roller ball type. Just ordered this mouse (I love to get something for nothing) with the current FAR deal. Mouse is well constructed. Plug N Play. While the mouse is USB it can be used via the normal PS/2 mouse port with the provided adapter. Software included allows you total control over your pointing device and its function. While installing the mouse software it claimed that the mouse operates at 800 dpi if used on a USB port (slightly less when using the PS/2 port). Mouse ergonomics are good for my hands (X-large). It even loooks good especially with the Sony system I installed it on. Works fantastic in Win XP Home. How can you go wrong for free!

Summary: worst mouse ever
Review: The mouse jumps up and down on the screen like it is a live mouse. Never ever buy this model any more. Go for the similar microsoft product. I have been satisfied with that product until it was stolen.

Summary: I KEEP RIGHT-CLICKING
Review: The mouse works very well and would definitely be worth the money EXCEPT FOR ONE PROBLEM: the buttons on this mouse seem unusually sensitive or something, because I keep involuntarily hitting right when I don't want to. I don't recall ever having this problem with other mouses. It's possible that me accidentally hitting right click constantly is entirely the fault of my hand and not the mouse, but as I said, I've never had this problem with other mouses. Perhaps it'll take some more getting used to.

Summary: I love this mouse!
Review: This is probably the best mouse or at least the best cord mouse ever. It doesn't get stuck with me. It has it's own scroll wheel, and it's much better than your average mouse. However I always recomend the wireless one, but if you wanna play it safe with a normal mouse, then this one I recomend. I am very pleased with it. Handles well. Maneuvers well. Feels great on the hands. All frustrations with the average cord mouse dissapated with this one. I strongly recomend purchasing this.

Summary: Elegant Simplicity
Review: This is such a wonderful little mouse. There are no extra bells or whistles. It simply is a standard 3 button scrolling optical mouse (with the scroll wheel as the third button). It does everything you expect the way you expect. Just plug it in, and use it. Whether you use the Mouseware software to configure it or not, you still get precise control over the cursor.

It doesn't have all the bells and whistles of some mice (with the extra thumb button, or cordless recharging station), but if you want a simple accurate mouse for a very reasonable price, it's hard to top this one. The only downside is that its tracking accuracy severely goes down on reflective materials (including shiny magazine covers), so if you use this with a laptop, be sure to keep an inexpensive fabric mousepad (don't use one with the smooth reflective finish) with you.

Summary: Great mouse!
Review: This is the second Logitech optical mouse I've bought and I've had it for about a year. During this time, I haven't had a single problem with it. You don't even need to install the software that comes with it, just plug it in and you have a brand new working mouse (although it is recommended that you do install it). It works on any surface, although I prefer to use a mousepad because the mouse itself has 4 soft plastic feet which keep a 1/10 mm distance between the surface and the actual mouse, and they tend to come off if you rub it against an abrasive surface. Other than that, the mouse is high-quality, robust, and I've even had it fall off the desk a few times without anything happening to it. It's simple and good for office use (where, as you know, frequent accidents happen) and also home.

Summary: logitech optical mouse
Review: This mouse came with my computer and it is really good. It is accurate and there does not seem to be a lag. The only problem with this mouse is that when i am using it the mouse cursor sometimes stops movng and i have to pick it up and put it down again or it will appear at the top of the screen suddenly. What is strange though is that this mouse is fine for games. I have managed to play through X111 with no problems. The mouse is comfortable to hold and the scroll wheel is easy to use. Overall a simple wheel mouse whih i highly reccomend.

Summary: Terrible Lag
Review: This mouse goes into hibernation after a second of inactivity. There is then a second or so of lag after you move the mouse again before the cursor moves again. This makes the mouse UNUSABLE for games! It also makes it very frustrating to do any fine work with CAD or graphics.

The sort of lag I am talking about is typical of cordless mice, where, as your would it expect, it has to conserve as much battery power as possible. But this is a not a cordless mouse! It seems that logitech used the same parts from their cordless mouse in this corded one and the results are terrible. To make matters worse sometimes the mouse doesn't want to wake up at all without physically picking it up and shaking it violently. At other times it appears to sleep, then wake randomly on its own. In some apps the mouse cursor vanishes off screen entirely when the mouse decides to sleep, then reappears on the other side of the screen. Like I said, its unusable for games.

Summary: An Excellent Mouse
Review: This mouse has no problems, no matter what others say. It doesn't sound cheap, and it's not too small. And so what if it isn't ergo? I hate ergo devices. Mice were designed to move a cursor across the screen, not to make your hand feel perfectly comfortable. I don't see why a normal mouse isn't comfortable anyway. And of course the fact that this mouse is optical just makes it that much better. The only downside is that the software is terrible. It adds functionality, but also takes it away. I think the mouse works better and more intuitively if you just plug it into the PS/2 port and use it as is. If you want to use it in games (such as counter-strike) you need to leave the software uninstalled, or the wheel won't function properly. Fortunately, the only problem is the software, and the mouse is perfect.
