Summary: Great--But watch out if you're using a laptop
Review: This is my favorite mouse. But I had to return it after hours speaking with Logitech and Dell. Apparently, Logitech's software conflicts with some laptop software that runs the laptop's internal touch pad and pointer. Logitech is aware of this and there is some information on its website. The alternative I chose was Microsoft. I like the keyboard better; the mouse, while fully featured, fits my hand awkwardly.

Summary: Cordless Elite Duo
Review: I am definitely not a computer wizard, but this combo has made several of the repeated tasks I do very convienent. Hooking up was a breeze. I would not hesitate to get another if something happened to mine. Volumn control, scrolling feature, searching etc. excellent. Forget what you may have read about the mouse being to heavy. My son and I both like it. I tried a Memorex wireless combo first and took it back because the cursor had a tendancy to float. Not with this. BUY IT!!!!!!!

Summary: Be careful of the mouse--horrible refresh rate!
Review: I had never used a cordless mouse before I bought this package--I'd assumed the tracking would be as good as a corded mouse, but it's not. The refresh rate of this mouse is somewhere between 30-60 Hz, whereas the refresh rate of a corded mouse is around 120 Hz, which basically means a corded mouse pointer moves *much* more smoothly across the screen (assuming your mouse driver software is actually configured to support the high refresh). After I moved to this mouse from a Microsoft PS/2 Intellimouse (corded), the movement felt very jerky, although I got used to it for most things. But where it really bothers me is in games like first person shooters, where I miss a lot of precision that I would otherwise have with a corded mouse. All in all, I'd take the precision advantages of my old mouse over the cordless conveniences of this one, and I wish I knew about that before I bought it.Other than that, I'm pretty pleased with the whole setup... The ergonomics of the mouse took a little getting used to--I used to wish the left and right buttons were bigger like on the MS Intellimouse, but my fingers got used to it and now I don't mind at all. Overall, the keyboard is excellent. Keypresses have a very satisfying feel to them; keys are sized well and the whole keyboard generally feels very sturdy. The usefulness of the "extra functionality" keys is mixed--some keys are great, most are useless, but they never get in the way. Particularly useful are the "media player" controls at the top of the keyboard, which let you adjust the volume, move to previous and next tracks, mute, play/pause, and stop. The scroll wheel on the left of the keyboard is also pretty nice; you can configure it to do a number of things, and right now I have it set up to give me a pop-up menu of all my music that I can select from, which is handy. Almost everything else is entirely useless for me though, particularly the inane "F-lock" which lets you do things like "undo" and "redo", which are actually accomplished far more conveniently by just using their standard windows shortcut keys (e.g. Ctrl-Z, Shift-Ctrl-Z, etc). The keyboard and mouse also look really, really cool--the black and graphite combination is great, and it makes my whole computer setup look like a command center or something. (if only my monitor and speakers weren't white...) As for battery life: I've been using the Cordless Elite Duo for about 2 and a half months now, and the batteries are still nearly at max, which is good. Overall, I'd give the keyboard 5 stars, but I'd give the mouse 3 stars because of its horrid refresh rate.

Review: Forgot to mention i also am running WinXP home like many here "saying" they are having problems with the KB & Mouse.... I took mine out of the box, plugged it in, loaded the software from the "website" actually, which is what i always do with ANY thing i buy for my PC...I never load software from the Supplied CD, which is or can be very outdated by the time you buy the product, website always has the latest most up to date software...But WinXP standard drivers will work fine..
I had mine up and running perferctly and flawless in under 5 mins...
99% of reviews you see where someone is having a problem is usually operator error the other 1% could have a bad/malfuctioning product which happens....Disregard....
Product itself works fine with both WinXP and Win98se...Zero problems of any kind...

Summary: excellent Keyboard & Mouse
Review: Not sure what you folks have been smoking....
Number 1..the mouse is outstanding, works great for gaming also, mine does NOT skip or have any problems or slow response whatsoever...I use a nice mousepad and not a shinny wood surface DOH!...
I can only assume the MX700 mouse would be slightly better, but actually if your playing a FPS game online and your moving this mouse fast enough to cause it to skip, your outa control anyway. The mouse takes 2 AA batteries, i use mine ALOT many many hours per day and last approx 3-4 weeks... The keyboard takes 4 AA batteries not 2...Ive had the keyboard for almost a year now of constant use and havent replaced the batteries yet.... Both work flawlessly from my bed which is at least 10-12 feet away....I hook up my PC to the 36"TV ocaisionally and this cordless KB& Mouse comes in very handy being able to just kick back in bed and surf... My one and only complaint about this Keyboard and or mouse is actually against Logitech themselves, by forcing you to buy BOTH in combo as opposed to being able to just buy the "Elite Optical Keyboard" separately.....
Wife spilled an entire bowl of icecream dead center on Keyboard, needless to say, thats it for that keyboard, no amount of cleaning is going to save ANY keyboard from a bowl of sticky icecream....
So had to buy another combo, instead of just getting just the Keyboard... and i like this Keyboard & Mouse combo so much, that now im looking to buy a "spare" just to have set aside for when another "sticky" situation arises..we have 2 PCs side by side, both have this KB & mouse....none better.

Summary: Great Keyboard and Mouse Combo...Software can use some work.
Review: The Logitech Cordless Elite Duo is an excellent keyboard and mouse combo. While I have not gotten the range some others have stated, I still get more than Logitech's advertised 6ft. They work well for daily activities and fast-pace games such as Quake III. The keyboard is very comfortable and easy to type on. The keys are quiet and have a good feel. All the extra buttons are useful and add to the functionality of the keyboard. The mouse that was included I can't recommend for people who are left-handed and/or have small hands. However, I found it to be comfortable and very responsive. The mouse is heavy compared to most mice, but for the most part it isn't noticeable. My only problem is that the software can be annoying. I like the functions they have and the ease to set up, however, I didn't like the little pop-ups when you first use one of these buttons. I would have also liked media button support of the Interactual DVD player software. But I am sure that will come eventually. One last word of warning. Be careful if you have a Pocket PC installed on your computer. The first time I installed the iTouch program, it caused a conflict and I had to spend about 2 1/2 hours to figure out what was going on and to reinstall the ActiveSync and the Logitech software. I would of given the keyboard at least a 4-5 if I hadn't had the driver conflict that I did.

Summary: Nice to get rid of the wires
Review: All those darn wires were making a mess of my desk... this nice duo helped clean some of them up. I've been using it for a couple weeks now with no problems. The mouse tracks well, although serious gamers or photshoppers might need a little more accuracy. For normal point and clickers, it's more than acceptable. Installation was a breeze with XP, though documentation was a little thin. I ended up placing the reciever in a drawer next to my desk, and it stil works perfectly. Keep in mind, however, the mouse is a bit more beefy than your standard corded variety.

Review: Purchased this combo to hook to the computer hooked to my 55" Samsung TV. Works flawlessly under Windows XP. I can now sit at my coffee table, which is approx. 10ft. away, and surf the web, launch movies, whatever.
Spec sheet says it works up to 6ft. away, I haven't had any problems up to 11ft.
The only bad thing I can say is the software package left an annoying little "ad" at the right side of the screen, promoting Logitech's website. If you are more careful than I was when installing the software, you probably won't have this problem.

Review: 1. the logitech mouseware cause the mouse jumpy. but if u do not install the logitech drivers, all works fine. 2. No led for NumLock... 3. Mouse a little heavy and a little big (battery?) 4. I hate the "User" button on keyboard, it will cause your system sleep accidently.

Review: im very happy with my new keyboard and mouse. my old wired kb and mouse dont let me feel confortable when i wrote some homework or typing a text, now i can put kb and mouse everywhere . some times i dont need to be on my desk to type something. i can do it in the couch.
