Rating: Summary: HUGE Advantage on Mac OSX 10.3+ (Panther Roars!) Review: Logitech does it again! I've been a huge fan of Logitech for years, since the Mouse was PC device (almost). I recently converted to Mac for my home systems and switching to the Mac awkward keyboard was difficult at best since I've been using the Logitech "Comfort" style keyboards for years. Not only was it difficult to use, I experienced issues that have been irritating me on a regular basis with random key repeats on certain keys that no matter what I did, nothing would solve my problem.I just bought the new Logitech Comfort Duo package and installed it on my Mac. WOW! What a difference!! Not only do I have my usual comfortable keyboard format but my repeating key problem is gone and I have more control over my mouse. Very impressed!!! THANK YOU LOGITECH! The only thing that would make this better would be to outfit this package in a BlueTooth Version!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! HINT HINT HINT!! WINK WINK!!
Rating: Summary: Nice keyboard, bad mouse Review: The keyboard is very nice, but if you type really really fast you will experience a very slight delay when you watch the screen.
I dual boot windows 2000 and SuSE Linux 9.1, the keyboard and mouse work in both systems. There are some concerns regarding security, since everything you type is broadcast to the world (although I am certain the range is quite limited). On the other hand, some wired keyboards can be monitored by analysing the sound they make when you type. Do your computing in a soundproof bunker with a Faraday cage if you're worried "they" may be watching you.
Even within ten centimeters of the receiver, the cordless mouse performs with about as much precision as a brainsurgeon with cerebral palsy. I also own the logitech MX500 and this cordless thing doesn't even come close to it's accuracy.
Great keyboard, bad mouse. Hence 3 stars out of 5.
Rating: Summary: shoddy construction Review: The mouse buttons are not buttons at all but long thin plastic strips. I didn't think much of it until my mouse buttons started sticking or not working at all. A $5 mouse works better than this super expensive one. Earlier, I also found out this mouse will not work with black mousepads, even brand new mousepads. The mouse cursor stuttered and stopped while using it. You have to get a mousepad with textured colors. And when I first bought this thing the first thing I noticed was how heavy it is. It took a good while to get used to it, and once you are, going back to a regular mouse feels weird.
Rating: Summary: i just wish... Review: the space bar on my unit is very unresponsive. normally the keys are fairly stiff and spring back up within reasonable times, but the space bar on this keyboard just isnt springy enough. not enough to warrant a complete return, just wish it'd feel nicer. hopefully no more problems arise. edit: (February 1, 2004) after using the keyboard and mouse for quite a while now, i only have a couple of complaints. the keyboard is fine. the mouse, however, drains my batteries like nothing i have ever seen. as another user pointed out, battery life lasts for usually 3-4 weeks. i have needed to replace the batteries twice in one month on occasion. also, i find that fullscreen games periodically minimize, forcing me to restore the window. i suspect this is a problem due to these devices, as i have not had the problem prior. you may opt for one of microsoft's basic wireless optical mice, which promise up to six months battery life. i, on the other hand, have decided to purchase the more expensive mx700, which comes with a recharge base. ideally, there will be no conflicts between the two receivers-but who said the world was ideal? 4.5 stars for keyboard 2.5 stars for mouse.
Rating: Summary: Elegance and functionality Review: This is a great set! Not only does it look good (black keyboards and mice rocks!), but it is also comfortable and practical. No more cord clutters! I used to have the Logitech Cordless Desktop Pro and it served me well. The new keyboard in this set has quieter keys and the mouse is optical. Talk about an upgrade for the same price! I love it! I would recommend this set to anyone who wants it all: functionality, practicality, and beauty.
Rating: Summary: Great product, software needs updating Review: This is easily the best keyboard I've ever owned, and the mouse is right up there too. I've long wanted a wireless keyboard and mouse combo, but I've always wanted the ergonomic layout and they just haven't been common. I've also been a bit concerned about radio broadcasting my keystrokes, but it turns out (or Logitech claims at least) that the keyboard signal is encrypted (they don't say how). I've had this combo for nearly a month now, no battery changing necessary, and I knew within two days that this is going to be my favorite keyboard for years to come. FANTASTIC.

Rating: Summary: Truly a comfort Review: Though the placement of the keys takes a little getting used to, the few days of mis-typing are a small price to pay for the decrease in discomfort for those who spend long hours on the keyboard. Battery life has been great (using Mac OSX)- I work with it several hours a day and haven't had to change them since I got the set in August 2003. I had no trouble with the raiser legs, and later found it a more comfortable postition with them folded in. The keyboard is light and easily moved when I need desk space. My biggest disappointment is the lack of Caps Lock indicator. I also would prefer to have the keyboard bundled with a TrackMan. For those reasons I can only give it 3 stars.
