Summary: A MBA student
Review: About ten bucks, it is a good deal. It is really easy setup even though I have not installed its MouseWare yet. I use with Dell Inspiron 1150 and XP Home. Before I dicided to buy this mouse, I also considered with the wireless one. Many of my friends who bought the wireless complainted a lot about the short period of battery life. Otherwise, I must buy a expensive wireless mouse which come with a rechargeable battery, at least 40 dollars. So I decided to get this mouse instead.

Summary: Optical is the way to go.
Review: I bought this mouse on the recommendation of other reviewers here, and I'm glad I did. Its smoothness and accuracy are far better than with any ball mouse I've ever used. Plus there's no maintenance required.
The Logitech Optical Mouse rates up there with the Kenwood car MP3 player as two of the best investments I've ever made. :)

Summary: Holds up!
Review: I bought this mouse thinking I'd probably end up replacing it with a more expensive Microsoft optical Intellimouse... 20 bucks for an optical mouse, I figured it'd probably make it 6 months and die on me.

It's been almost 2 years...I'm still using my logitech optical 'cause it does everything I need it to! It responds well, it's comfortable to use, and I haven't had a days problem with it! The scroll wheel also makes scanning webpages and lists a lot easier.

Also, the fact it comes with a PS/2 adapter has saved me some grief (and more than a couple bucks) with my KVM switch (a switch that allows for multiple computers to hook up to one keyboard, mouse and keyboard).

If you're looking for a great little mouse that holds up really well, look no further... you've found it!

Summary: Simple - but who needs anything more?
Review: I got this mouse because it was the cheapest optical mouse in the store. I don't see why anyone would pay more for a mouse that has a few more buttons. This mouse has worked very well for the 5 months I've owned it. I use it with a Mac, and as for installation... well, there is none. Just plug it in, and your ready to go - including the right mouse button and scroll wheel. Don't let the low price fool you - this is a good product.

Summary: It was great until it broke :-(
Review: I got this mouse in July of 2001 because I wanted an optical mouse very badly and this one was so cheap. It worked fine for almost two years until its left mouse button broke in June of 2003. It still works, but if I relax my index finger on it slightly while holding it down, it will do what I call "release and reengage". In other words, if you are dragging an icon over another icon, and relax pressure a little bit, the icon will be dropped on the other icon and the other icon will be clicked on. This is a real problem, because sometimes when I click an icon to start a program, two instances of the program are started. Or I can highlight text and it won't stay highlighted.

I'm not saying I don't recommend this mouse, as it has gone through a lot of abuse in the last two years. It is sure better than any ball mouse I've ever had (I had 3 before I got this optical mouse.) Unfortunately, this problem may make me need to replace this mouse soon.
