Rating: Summary: MX510, an excellent choice for the price Review: I've always used ball mouses up to now. Optical mouses never had the traction I wanted. However, the MX510 has totally changed that. It is fits nicely into the palm of your hand for righties. The look is great and the ergonomics is awesome. Snatch it up before the mail in rebate expires.
Rating: Summary: An excellent mouse! Great performance! Review: Logitech really do a good job on MX510. The performance of the mouse is excellent. It's very precise. It's great for people who like to play games and design graphics. Moreover, the mouse has a very good design. It's very comfortable. All five additional keys are extremely useful and save you a lot of time to movie the mouse to the back button or task bar.
I have tried different type and brand of mouses. Logitech mouse is the best. It's a lot better than Microsoft mouse especially on functionality and comfortableness. However, this mouse is designed for right hand people. It might not fit for you if you are left hander.
If you haven't tried this, you should try it. You won't regret this.
Rating: Summary: I'm happy with this mouse Review: Pros:
1. Accurate and responsive pointing.
2. Ideal weight & size(not too heavy when compared with MX700, not too light when compared with Logitech blue)
Cons:
1. No significant improvement in pointing accuracy compared with MX500 ( although Logitech claimed that MX510 was much better)
2. The design of five additional buttions is a joke. The foreward/backward buttons are too high to touch, even worse, the page down button and task switch button are simply unusable due to incorrect button locations.
3. Mouse driver from Logitech doesn't support Windows Server 2003.
To me, the ideal mouse should adpot the body of MS IntelliMouse 4.0 (remove the tilt wheel), use the optical sensor from this MX510, and use the wide scroll wheel from MS wireless optical mouse (none-tilt version).
Rating: Summary: Great Mouse -- Highly Recommended Review: The mouse is great. The cruise scrolling is an excellent feature. I had to return my first mouse due to a scroll wheel problem, and Logitech shipped me a new mouse with no problems. Very satisfied. I also bought the fUnc sUrface 1030 mouse pad to go along with this mouse and recommend it as well. By the way, I'm a professional computer programmer and spend hours a day on the computer.
Rating: Summary: Excellent optical mouse with accurate tracking. Review: This optical mouse has accurate tracking. It can track well on surfaces where other optical mice would have failed. The extra buttons make desktop navigation quicker and more convenient. Because this mouse is chorded and does not require batteries, it weighs very light. Although the mouse is sort of bulbous in shape, it fits people with small hands. However, this mice prefers right handers because of the location of the thumb rest and thumb buttons. I think this mouse is ideal for people who do both office work and gaming.
