Summary: my zBoard makes me appriciate this Logitech one better
Review: I have been using my zBoard for the last few months but it is highly unstable and in BIOS it reverts the settings to default so I switched back to this logitech. This Elite is a luxury item I did not come to apprieciate until now. It is incredibly comfortable to the hand and the keys don't break off. I was moving some furniture and had carelessly thrown a heavy piece of metal and it hit this keyboard(which was sitting in my chair while I moved) square in the keys on the left side. It still works. The keys are undamaged like new! You couldn't ask for much more than this. The only mar is the darned F-lock key which should be reversed so that F is unlocked default and locked by pushing the button at boot up. The left wheel also sucks in games because if you accidentally push it(getting exited in Doom3) can boot you out of the game. In games like Neverwinter Nights and Star Wars Knights of the Old Republic, it can corrupt files and graphics. Even to the point of modding stats and attack rolls totally screwing your game. If you stay away from the wheel and all the stupid media crap you should be okay in games.

Summary: Well constructed, easy to use.
Review: I have to say the comparison between a Dell keyboard and this Logitech Elite is a sad comparison indeed. I've used Dell keyboards...I hate them, they always felt cheap and flimsy. The last one I had, well let's say it wasn't fun.

This keyboard is great, though it doesn't have support for applications like Firefox right off the bat, if you have some computer knowledge you can tell it to open Firefox as a Program, though it gets overly complex.

Had the keyboard not been so easy to work with, and so easy to type with, it'd be four stars due to the lack of third party program support. Logitechs software is rather crappy, in all honesty, but at least it offers options to manually extend support via the programs functionality.

I have heard keys stick later in its use, I've yet to have any sticky keys, but then again I keep my keyboard very clean, I hope that doesn't happen, but keep it in mind, as it happens to all keyboards eventually, some sooner than others.

I love the volume dial, it's easy, quick, and much more precise than it's Microsoft counterpart, which uses a plus and minus Button opposed to this more precise dial. The email, messenger, and song scrolling buttons are amazingly useful.

The default On setting for F-Lock, (or off) is annoying as hell, I have to turn the green light *on* to use the normal F# keys, and the light grows a tad annoying.

I have not seen any spyware, I keep my computer highly protected with the best scoring (Benchmarks, and not by whored out 'review' sites) Anti-Adware, Firewall, and Anti-Virus I could find, perhaps this fabled spyware was removed. I never saw anything like it in my Processes, which I watch obsessively, and nothing ever came out in scans relating to Logitech.

I highly recommend this to keyboard enthusiasts who love having a keyboard which has many functions and, ironically, tons of functionality.

Summary: Superb
Review: I have worked on computers since my days in the Air Force and I now have a keyboard worth every penny and then some. I strongly endorse Logitech and this great product and I will continue to purchase my electronic needs from Amazon.com, such great and superior service. Summary: It's good!
Review: I just got this keyboard. 1st impression is that it's HUGE! A little intimidating. Looks like the cockpit of the space shuttle I imagine. Very high tech. The keys are soft, but responsive. Much better then my stock Compaq keyboard this one replaced. All the shortcut keys and scrollwheel work flawlessly with the included software. The keyboard is very comfortable and includes a plastic wrist wrest which attaches to the keyboard. I really like the scroll wheel and volume wheel. I believe these will come in handy. Not sure how much I'll use the other shortcut or HOT keys. Time will tell. Another quality product from Logitech.

Summary: Thumbs Up
Review: I just unpacked and installed this new keyboard, and so far I've been impressed. Very simple and trouble free software installation on my Windows XP machine. Truly plug & play for a pleasant change. All the specialty buttons worked as advertised and I haven't felt the need to reconfigure any of them yet. Unlike the previous review, I have found that the multimedia volume control wheel works as you'd expect.

The keys have a nice, quiet feel as well. So far so good on this purchase.

Summary: This is just a great keyboard! but kinda big
Review: I just wanted a black keyboard. So I bought it and it's great even though it is kinda big with the hand rest attachment. So i just took it off. Its got a lot of nice features. except for the f-lock(When I'm gaming i kinda get frustrated that i gotta push it to get the f buttons to work)besides that this thing is way better than the keyboard my pc came with.

Summary: Great keyboard, but.........
Review: I really like all of the extra features on this keyboard, like media player control, and volume control, and many many others. One thing that is a draw back, is that it has a sleep button, but appearantly it doesnt work with XP. Seems kinda strange that its compatable with 98/ME, and not XP! Seeing how this is probably the most abundant OS out there, and will be for the foreseeable future. Other than that, its great!

Summary: Disappointing Key Feel
Review: I really wanted to like this keyboard, but couldn't get over the lousy feel of the keys. Compared to the soft, precise feel of the Dell keyboards I had been using for years, this keyboard is harsher and really slows down typing. On the plus side, the hot keys generally work well, except for the volume knob (which is not precise enough) and the internet wheel and buttons on the left, which are harsh. This was also a dust magnet for some reason. Anyway, I wound up buying a Dell Keyboard instead.

Summary: Best wired keyboard on the market
Review: I tried a handful of keyboards, looking for that perfect look, feel, feature set, and performance. The Elite is easy to type on, it doesn't have the keystroke buffer problems of the cheaper Logitech Internet keyboard, it has the programmable buttons, media controls, and the black/silver matched my Dell flat panel perfectly. This is the best keyboard I've ever used. It would be difficult to be disappointed by the Logitech Elite.

Summary: wonderful keyboard
Review: I was very pleased with the features on this keyboard, its a must have. I'm still learning to use it, but it's a thrill to use. I wish it came with a user manual to help with the many features, although on-line user info is a button touch away.
