Rating: Summary: It works great. I wonder if I really needed it. Review: First the technical. The bluetooth connection to Mac OS X is unbelievably easy to setup. If you have the keyboard turned on (yes it has a power switch and needs batteries) prior to booting up, the keyboard is immediately ready to use (for passwords). The feel of the keyboard is similar to recent products from Apple. Now the non-technical. I thought that this would be a fantastic addition to my system, giving me greater flexiblity. Not really. Other than losing the cable and occasionally moving the keyboard to a new area on my desk, it usually sits right where my old keyboard was. It also doesn't feel right sitting on my lap. Apple scores again with a truly plug and play component. At present, I don't know if the benefit outweights the cost. Maybe I will grow to love it over time.

Rating: Summary: Avoid the Mouse Review: I bought the mouse, followed the instructions, and "found" the device with no problems. However, since the mouse was "discovered" it was promptly lost. The mouse has remained dead. No response. I have re-discovered and reinstalled the firmware many times with no success. This mouse is dead. I will take the little white corpse of a mouse back to the retailer and stick with USB. I don't need wireless THIS bad. Avoid this purchase at all costs.

Rating: Summary: Bad Buttons Review: I bought this keyboard for a really dumb reason - to press the right arrow key to skip to the next song when I had iTunes (music playing program for anyone who isn't familar with Macs) open. Needless to say the keyboard has performed wonderfully for this function. It doesn't eat too many batteries and looks extremely cool as well. The only complaint I have on this keyboard is the feel of the buttons, they're kind of crappy compared to say, the keyboard on the Powerbooks...
Rating: Summary: Works great! Review: I got this keyboard because I read that it works with Windows. Well, it does, but it might take some work to get it going.
All the keys work fine and act as the same as a 101 keyboard .. You'll notice the "Help" key is in place of the typical "Insert" key, but it is STILL insert .. You
ll notice the Numlock key now says Clear .. It is STILL a Numlock key .. They all work just fine!
The range on this thing is awesome, I can go to the other side of the house through many walls and it still works fine!
In addition to the person using the D-Link bluetooth, here are some other ways to install this device with WindowsXP (Probably the same with 2000) ..
I have the Microsoft Bluetooth mouse, so it came with MS's own Bluetooth Adaptor. At first, it would see the keyboard, but then the keyboard would keep disappearing ... What I had to do, was when I added the keyboard, go into the Device Manager and REMOVE my PS2 keyboard that I already had attached to my machine. Then reboot. You also must MAKE SURE you choose a passcode for the keyboard - Unlike using a bluetooth mouse, Windows NEEDS a code. I suggest letting the adaptor choose one, then you type it in on the keyboard and hit ENTER ..
Remember, Windows only seems to like one keyboard on the OS at a time, so remove your PS2/USB keyboard after you add your Apple wireless one.
Rating: Summary: Great Product that Works as Advertised Review: I have had the keyboard for about three months and it works just fine. It was very easy to set up (and I am not a technical wizard) and works as if it had a wire. It is wonderful not having a wire. The keyboard is just as responsive as one with a wire. It uses 4 AA batteries and I needed to replace them after about 2 months. I tried NiCad rechargeable batteries (good ones too) and they lacked sufficient power to power the keyboard even freshly charged. Now I use disposable lithium batteries. I sure don't miss the cord! Thanks Apple.
Rating: Summary: Brilliant Review: I have the wired & wireless versions, and I love them both. They both are a work of art. Clean, curvy, and white add to the brilliance of the keyboard. The mouse enhances this experience (I never want my hockey-puck again!) Usefulness was plainly great. I haven't had a problem yet. In fact, the main reason I wrote this review is so I could have a chance just to use it!
Rating: Summary: Best Bluetooth Keyboard I've found for Windows XP Review: I love Amazon. I had bought this keyboard from another computer store because it just looked so cool. Knowing about the way peripherals work, I figured it would work with Windows. I asked the Sales rep and he confirmed my thoughts and said it worked fine. Got it home and the computer recognized it, but I never got any response from the keyboard. Having had Bluetooth difficulties before with Windows, I was resigned to failure. It was sitting on the floor by my chair until I logged onto Amazon and looked it up. After reading the reviews on here, I realized you had to have a passkey for it to work. So I let Windows chose a passkey,I typed it in and hit the "Return" Key and BINGO! It Works perfectly with Windows. I can even use my RF keyboard as a backup at the same time. It is the fastest and most fluid keyboard I've ever used. I type really fast and I always got annoyed with my RF keyboard dropping letters sometimes, but not this keyboard. I can fly on this thing. The range is great, the size is great, the response is great, and to top it all off its very stylish. Not only did Apple include batteries, but high quality Engerizers no less! Kudos to Apple for another well designed product! Maybe one day I'll be able to migrate over all together.
Rating: Summary: Great on batteries! Review: I use this with a computer I use five or six hours a day. I change the batties MAYBE once a month. It takes four AA batteries and if you get the electronic batteries that are made for devices such as this they last long. I never use teh OFF switch on teh underneath for when youll be away for more than a few days. The unit sleeps after five minutes of inactivity so you dont need to turn it off when not in use. Very responsive and works well. And its all white design matches any consumer level Mac. I even use it on my 15" PowerBook at the office. Bluetooth cues it right in no hassle.
