Summary: This Set Not At All What I Expected..May Trash After 2 Wks.
Review: Buyer beware..I purchased this set two weeks ago. The ergonomic keyboard is very hard to adjust to..being literally "split" into two seperate keypads. There is NO volume control, NO mute button and I am still finding it hard to decide whether to try and type with the height flaps up or down. This keyboard is actualy causing me neck and shoulder pain that I never had before as I can not find a comfortable position to type from!! I called Microsoft and they said it was actually only a very basic keyboard with no special functions. (I was praying there was a volume control hiding in a key somewhere.) The mouse comes with a disc so you can download Intellipoint. However, this set was originally for WN 95 and the version on the disc is way outdated. I went online at MS's site and downloaded a more recent version of Intellipoint to control the mouse with. The mouse has great scroll options and a few special features..but tends to get "stuck" at times, whereas then I need to reboot my PC so it will work fine again. The mouse in this set is actually *better* than the keyboard! Hence..the *two* stars. I was naive in just picking a set. I should have really spent more time thinking about what I really wanted in a keyboard before I purchased this item. It is NOT Amazon's fault..it is mine. Bottom line...buy the items in this set like this seperately..even if you have to spend a few more dollars. I'm already thinking of just hooking my original keyboard back up!

Summary: Feels great
Review: I love this type of keyboard. Having been born with large hands and wide shoulders, regular keyboards just cramp up my hands trying to type, not so with this model. My hands can type for hours. I agree there is an initial time period during which the user will be adjusting to the split keyboard layout, but once this is over you will never want to use another. Is greatest gift to large handed people ever.

Summary: The only keyboard I will use
Review: I've been using a Microsoft Natural Ergo since the company introduced them four years ago.

My wrist were hurting from using the started issue PC keyboard for many hours a day.

After making the switch to the Natural key layout it took me about a month to get used to the key positions, but after that I was hooked and I no longer have pains in my wrist.

The only bad deal here is you have to pay for the mouse too.

If you want to pay more you could get the Natrual Pro, and you'll have a button to spawn your web browser, change audio levels, etc... For me the cost difference doesn't justify what I could do in a few simple mouse clicks.

Summary: Fabulous Keyboard, ... Mouse
Review: I've been using this keyboard for 4 years. While typing at work with it, it allows my wrists to stay in their natural position and my carpal tunnel from acting up. Though at home, I have a regular keyboard and hurts my wrists after typing for hours. Now, I am buying one for home since I've started typing more at home. Granted, it takes some getting used to it but, your wrists will thank you and you will become a better typist. It forces you to use the correct fingering for those number keys. No cheating! I can never go back.

As for the mouse, the scroll wheel is the greatest advancement in mouse design. Keeps you from banging around and wearing out your arm. Though, the mouse itself is poorly shaped and ... (That's why its packaged w. the keyboard). My advice, if your wrists are important to you, buy any mouse with a high back design (e.g., Microsoft Intellimouse Explorer) which is more natural for your hand. If you don't believe me, try keeping your wrists bent upwards for 10 minutes.

Review: is microsoft the only manufacturer that realizes this keyboard design takes a lot of pressure off the hands and wrists. You would think the others would be smart and start selling similar keyboard. Unless other manufactures start putting out keyboards of this design, microsoft will be the only people i purchase my keyboards from.
