Summary: Does A Higher Price Indicate Quality?
Review: I have been using a large Logitech cordless mouse with my laptop, and decided to look for a mini mouse that would take up less space while traveling. There were a variety of them in the store, most of them priced less than the Fellowes. Once again my highly fallible logic suggested that a higher price must mean a better mouse. When will I ever stop thinking this way? Well, it also looked cute, and one can't overlook this factor.My first problem with it was the instruction that I must uninstall all other mouse programs on the computer, an assignment that I have never faced in the past. This means I can't use my great Logitech mouse anymore? Well, this wouldn't be too bad providing the Fellowes proves to be a top notch mouse. Well, it isn't. The mouse seems to have more friction between itself and the mouse pad or other hard surface. It's small, but you have to push it harder to overcome it's striking inertia. Then there are the batteries. My Logitech has a nice recharging stand, but the Fellowes requires you to run a wire from the mouse to the USB port receiver whenever it needs charging. And, unfortunately it needs a lot of recharging. Unlike some other battery driven mice, it doesn't give any advance warning that it is running out of steam. It works perfectly one second, and the next second it is dead. The wire system also is cumbersome, and, in my experience, doesn't fully recharge the batteries. Plus, it only seems to charge (a several hour process) when the computer is on, and that is a nuisance. So I had to buy a separate battery charger and some more batteries. I keep three extra sets of charged batteries on hand at all times so that I will not be powerless right in the middle of some task. I would suggest that you try a different mouse than this one. If the one you do choose isn't any better, well, at least you probably didn't have to pay this price for it.

Review: I recently outfitted several workstations with the Fellowes and sadly realized too late that you have to click them two or THREE times to activate them. I just "right-click", but anybody who doesn't know just assumes their broken. And everyday users hate them because if the mouse is located over an icon, clicking on it (or activating) launches whatever program it happens to be hanging over at the time. IRRITATING AS HELL! Microsoft's wireless keyboard and mouse is so much better. They were more expensive, but in the end would have been cheaper. Consider yourself warned.

Summary: The ultimate notebook mouse?
Review: Not quite--but close to it. It's very well engineered and constructed. The mouse is comfortable (for a mini mouse) and the transmitter is a flash-disk sized USB dongle. Plug the mouse into the transmitter to recharge the 2 AAA NiMH batteries and you can still use it as if it were a corded mouse so there's no down time or hunting for replacement batteries. They include a 6" USB extension that you can use in case the transmitter blocks other ports on the computer. It's also very attractive looking. I use it on a Mac Powerbook, and Apple just announced a cordless mouse that uses Bluetooth so there's no dongle at all. Brilliant! If Fellowes comes out with a Bluetooth model then I think it may be perfect.

Summary: Not as good as I thought!!!
Review: This mouse looks sleek and works great when the cable is connected!!! I didnt spend all that money for a CORDED mouse!!!.. When the cords are removed...the range is very bad...They advertise 6FT range...what I really get is less than 6 inches range!!! I even got this exchanged for another one and even the new one is bad. I'd go for another brand of cordless mouse. This one's just not worth the money!!
