Summary: And The Logitech Shall Set You Free....
Review: Brothers and sisters, I was once like you...
burdened and bound by the sinister immobility of the common trackball....
meticulously digging with my fingernail at the sinful iniquities that tended to collect in that little satanic recess on the underside...
blowing the breath of futility into that little hole and slamming it repeatedly on its hellish accomplice the mouse pad when it refused to move the little cursor across the screen...

But then friends, I found the light of Logitech...
In particular, the little red light at the bottom. It eliminates the need for the mouse pad and for taking out the little ball and cleaning it. You really can run it off of every surface. If you get the cordless one you can run it anywhere (but what for? Then you'll be changing batteries...just stick to the one with the wire. You've got to stay in your chair to type anyhow.).

Fall down on your knees and repent, users!

Summary: Very Good
Review: Good value for the money if you are considering to move away from the Optical Chordless like I did. At least you don't have to move the weight of 2 AA Batteries around everytime you need to click.
No maintenance as it's optical. Considering that it's free after the mailinrebate when you buy Turbo tax coudn't have asked for more.

Summary: Best Mouse I've Ever Owned
Review: This is the most comfortable and easy to use mouse that I have ever owned or used. It is very precise with selections, and provides ease of navigation that I've never experienced before. Highly recommend this product.

Summary: Great Mouse!
Review: This mouse works great. Plug and play is easy and you won't have to install drivers if you have Windows XP or Windows ME. Never gets clogged up with dust like old traditional mice. You won't even need a mouse pad. Throw that old dirty mouse pad away and use any smooth flat surface. Don't be fooled into getting some kind of relective mouse pad none are needed.

Summary: Unnecessarily loud clicking noises ADDED IN to the product
Review: I used this mouse for a few years: the software works fine, and the mouse is useful - it does what it says, but I am disappointed with the clicking sounds it makes. If you work in a loud office, this is probably a fine mouse to choose. But if you work at coffee shops, think again. When you scroll up or down, it makes extra clicking sounds to tell you that you're scrolling. Also the buttons each make TWO clicks every time they're pressed, one on press, another on release. The sounds are loud enough that people at neighboring tables at coffee shops have asked me (politely) to please stop using the mouse. The weird thing is the sounds are not necessary. These are noises added into Logitech's device to give added feedback to announce: YES, YOU ARE scrolling or pressing the button. It's distracting in a quiet room or library or coffee shop. When I explain it to friends, I ask that they imagine that the keyboard made more noise than it needs to - that the company that designed their keyboard added loud clicking sounds that were not necessary. When depressed, the Logitech buttons make a louder click noise. I actually disassembled this model and another of Logitech's to see if I couldn't remove whatever was making the noises. To my surprise, I could remove the little metal piece from the scroll wheel with no adverse effects on scrolling capability, it only became quiet - nice. Remember the clatter you made as a kid when attaching a playing card to your bicycle so it clicks with each turn of each spoke? That's how the little metal part worked, like a little card against a bicycle spoke. But it's not possible to remove the clicking sounds of the mouse buttons. My recommendation: You can find much better mice on the market. Head to a store and experiment before buying this item, you'll notice how loud it is compared to others. Consider the Belkin or Kensington lines. Also note that wireless models are coming out every day - a good way to go if you're so inclined.
