Summary: Throw Out The Mouses With A Ball!!!!
Review: I am using this mouse as I type this. Previously I was using the mouse that came with my computer until the ball didn't want to move anymore. That was very frustrating not being able to navigate quickly enough. I decided to toss that mouse and I took a trip to Best Buy. This mouse caught my eye #1 because of the color, secondly since I had that experience with the mouse that had a ball I wanted a change, no ball. This mouse was a good price considering the features and yes I love the fact that the bottom has the red light. I definately recommend this mouse.

Summary: Great mouse!
Review: I only really bought this because of the great rebate deal. Imagine my surprise when this mouse arrived and works FANTASTIC. It smoothly glides and doesn't have wheels to get gummed up. I love it, great job logitech. I have put aside my M$ scroller mouse.

Note: This mouse does NOT work on all surfaces however. It did not work on my glossy white desk surface. I had a thin piece of pressboard that i put down on my mouse area and it works great on it. It even works on my pants, and even on my cat (if she is still, hehe).

Summary: Nice and smooth, but...
Review: I've found that optical mice are incredibly superior when compared to traditional ball mice. They effortlessly glide across your mousepad (assuming that your surface isn't reflective or glossy at all, then they tend to get a little confused.) This mouse is a nice relatively inexpensive way to get that. ...As great as that seems, the scroll wheel (on Logitech mice in general) is pretty [poor]. It's very choppy, it sometimes goes several clicks before it decides to start scrolling, and it often keeps going after you've stopped scrolling. It was very frustrating at first, I'm now sadly used to it.

Summary: New Mac owners, beware!
Review: If you own a Mirror-Door G4 tower (Mac), be aware that you may be buying a mouse that you won't be able to use after the first 2 hours. When I first plugged it in, I loved it completely. It's very smooth and responsive, and feels like you're mousing on silk. However, after my Mac went to sleep, then woke up again, the mouse wouldn't recognize any movement at all. I can still right- and left-click, and use the scroll wheel, but any efforts to move it even a pixel in any direction fail. The red light that glowed in the beginning doesn't light up at all now, so I suspect that the optical sensor is dead somehow. An email to Logitech got me the (fast and polite) response that they are aware of a problem with "dual processor" Macs, and are working on a fix, which they will post to their website. I would have given this mouse 1 star, except that it DID work at the beginning. If it still worked, I'd give it 5 stars without hesitating.

Summary: Good functionality
Review: I like this better than the Microsoft Two Button Optical Mouse. For starters, it fits in your palm better than the Microsoft Mouse in that the size is smaller. The wheel does not make a sound compared to the Microsoft mouse. When in use, you can see the red optical light. Not much else to theis mouse, since it is only the basic two button mouse with a wheel. Overall, a good buy.

Summary: Loose your balls - Go Optical
Review: Switched over to optical mice when Amazon had the Microsoft mice on sale for next to nothing several months ago. I'm totally sold and would never go back to the old roller ball type. Just ordered this mouse (I love to get something for nothing) with the current FAR deal. Mouse is well constructed. Plug N Play. While the mouse is USB it can be used via the normal PS/2 mouse port with the provided adapter. Software included allows you total control over your pointing device and its function. While installing the mouse software it claimed that the mouse operates at 800 dpi if used on a USB port (slightly less when using the PS/2 port). Mouse ergonomics are good for my hands (X-large). It even loooks good especially with the Sony system I installed it on. Works fantastic in Win XP Home. How can you go wrong for free!

Summary: good mouse
Review: to be honest, there's nothing particularly special about this mouse. i give it full marks because it delivers everything it specifies itself to be. it's very solid and dependable, and i get very accurate movement running programs from counterstrike to autocad. of course, optical mice in general have a sensor that prevents you from moving the mouse too quickly, so i don't really recommend the mouse for gaming. besides that, the mouse is comfortable on the hands. i don't think that logitech really took much effort to make it ergonomically specific to either hand, but it actually has ended up very comfortable on either left or right hand (i'm ambidextrous...sp?). finally, since there's a $... rebate on it right now, i'd say this is a definite good buy. otherwise, for the $..., it's decent.

Summary: Used to have a Tiny Notebook Mouse :(
Review: I could not believe I went so long with that tiny Notebook mouse! This Logitech mouse is just amazing..I love the fact that I dont have to worry about the track-ball getting stuck or whatever anymore. The operation is very smooth and fast especially if you have a mouse pad. The scroll in the middle makes it so much easier. Plus the curvature is just right to ensure an easy grip. I dont think I ever want to work with the touch pad anymore (Cuz I do graphics work on this notebook ...the mouse made it sooo much easier!..Its just "click-click-click"! lol :)
Highly recommended!

Summary: sweetness
Review: about 2 years and still going strong, I can't find anything wrong with this mouse. It's very accurate for everything from playing fast games to making detailed drawings in any number of paint programs.. I liked it so much I bought one for a buddy for his birthday in 01' .

Summary: Pretty good
Review: This mouse is great except for one minor detail... every now and then it just jumps accross my screen. It doesn't happen very often, but when it does, it can be as annoying as when your trackball mouse doesn't respond to anything you do. Other than that, it's a good mouse.
