Summary: The only low $ mouse to consider
Review: Unless you are going for a shaker (ifeel-I am, after Maximum PC comments and my experience with Logitech mouses vs. others) or a wireless (unacceptable for hard core gamers), this is the only mouse to consider. It's price can't be beat, and for the low bucks you get superb quality and precision. This mouse is recognized with built in Windows drivers, so you usually don't even have to install Logitech's propreitary drivers with the "extra" features. You plug it in and it works. Or you can install the drivers and in my experience they will peacefully coexist side by side. I have used this to be able to have both a Kensington Orbit with it's drivers installed (in the PS2 socket), which my wife likes, and this mouse (in a USB socket) on the same PC. Use one or the other, just move the other out of the way. I have another one for use with my laptop (that also must do side by side duty with the touch pad) that suffers road travel. I have yet to even have to clean either one. High value with a low entry fee.

Summary: Great Product
Review: What a lot of people dont realize when it comes to using computers the most abused piece of equipment would be the mouse. Particularly "Internet" PC's and Gaming PC's. The entire computer experience is usually distroyed with a substandard mouse. It is critical that you find a good quality mouse. Afterall it is the primary input device for your pc.

Until a few years ago i thought the only decent makers of mice was microsoft for some strange reason. Although i am not a microsoft disciple, i was a die-hard microsoft mouse user. When my Microsoft Wheel mouse finally died after two glorious years i had every intention of getting another one. Before i could get one i decided to use the logitech first wheel mouse temporarily. That was about 9 months ago. I was absoulutely surprised by the reliability, and response of this mouse. I am now convinced that logitech is also a fine brand for mice, keyboards and even speakers.

You wont be disappointed with this mouse. Its defiantely not a highend mouse but this is how mice should be made at the very least.

Another aspect of the mouse that is often overlooked is the mousepad. A good quality mousepad also contributed greatly to the whole experience. I recommend the 3M mousepad. I promise you once you've tried it you wont want to use anything else. It also keeps your mice clean.

Good product, good value

Summary: Reliability and value
Review: When I was issued a new computer at work, it came with a snazzy new Microsoft wheel mouse. I've never been a big fan of the Microsoft mice (I find they get jammed up too easily, and they aren't overly ergonomic). The wheel, however, had me instantly hooked.

Logitech has long been a dominant force in pointing devices. I've always found their products to be more reliable than the Microsoft counterparts -- it's not that either break down entirely, but Logitech's products require less frequent cleaning, giving you more accurate and efficient use. The accompanying software integrates into the desktop seamlessly, and you'll quickly find yourself unable to do without the wheel. The convenience is overwhelming!
