Summary: Excellent mouse
Review: This mouse is an excellent mouse. For years I used a regular mouse and the cord was constantly getting caught and knocking things over. I got this mouse and was amazed. It not only funtioned better, but it was corless! The buttons work great and the mouse overall has a very nice feel (and it's ambidextrous). The wheel also works well and has a middle button you can use. The batteries do NOT get eaten away contrary to what another user said. I have been using it for about 2 months and the control panel says the battery level is still good!Bottom line: one of the best mice out there. Buy it and be amazed.

Summary: Great for beginners, but sometimes newer isn't better
Review: Well, I really can't say anything bad about Logitech. They made my Quickcam Traveler, and it works perfectly. They made this new mouse, and it works almost perfectly. Yes, almost. Let's go through this one feature at a time... 1) Cordless... Very nice! You leave a weird-looking receiver on your desk (They say it has to be placed away from electronic devices, but I've tried it on top of the monitor without problems), and you no longer have to worry about wires. I've gotten it to work perfectly at a distance of about 10-15 feet, but after that it starts to respond a bit oddly. Of course, from that distance, I can't read anything on the screen, so who cares? 2) USB... Works well. Just as well as a PS/2 mouse. So why not just use the PS/2 port? Well, they provide an adapter to do just that. I'm using the USB port... Why? Because I hooked up TWO mice at once. This one and my old MS wheel-mouse. They both work the same cursor, but I can pick and choose which one to use when. 3) Optical. BAD IDEA. Yes, you lose the problems that come with a ball, but no one seems to realize that with the right mousepad a ball mouse is just fine. Get a nice leather mousepad and you won't have to clean the rollers ever again. The optics don't respond fast enough, especially when I want to jerk the cursor to a button across the screen (Or do a quick 180 in CounterStrike). It assumes you picked up the mouse, and doesn't move the cursor at all. Bottom line: Pros - Use it anywhere with out worrying about the wire

- USB - Hook up 2 mice at once, and use a ball mouse where this fails Cons - Optics don't read sudden movements (Common in gaming)
- Wheel button is a bit stiff (Harder to press than most older mice)
- DOES NOT WORK ON BLACK SURFACES! (Sorry, no black desks or pads)
- Wastes a USB port when PS/2 is just fine Bottom Line It's nice to lose the wire, but if you're a power-user, avoid optical mice entirely!

Summary: No more mouse cleaning!
Review: What a relief to have a mouse which I don't have to clean the dirt out of! I got tired of having to occasionally clean the dirt (lint, dust) out of my old mouse so it can work properly again. This mouse is built differently underneath so it doesn't collect any dirt. The only thing you have to worry about is if the battery is running low. Your computer will notify you when the battery is running low, or you can simply click an icon on your desktop to check the battery level. The batteries seem to last a month or up to two months, depending on your computer usage. You might want to invest in a battery charger and rechargeable batteries so you don't have to keep buying batteries so much (you most likely use batteries for other items in your home too) throughout the year. Of course the best feature for this mouse is that it's cordless. That's one less wire on your desk to get cluttered, entagled with. The equipment and software is fairly easy to install/use on your computer. I've noticed that the price for this item has dropped a bit since I bought it so this a better buy than ever.

Summary: Fantastic Mouse... The Receiver Is A Different Story
Review: What can I say? I love anything without wires. The mouse works great, fits great, and does the job. Battery life is a bit short, on average about 3-4 weeks. The only thing that bugs me is the receiver. Part of the whole idea is to eliminate wires. Instead, I still have another wire with an akward receiver sitting on my desk. I hope in the future they can make a small USB antenna so the wires would just dissapear. Overall, a great product.

Summary: A pleasure to use
Review: You would not believe how much more comfortable a cordless mouse feels. I use a computer all day long, and I can't live without this thing. The pros for the Logitech Cordless:
1. Comfortable to use.
2. Steady pointing. No jitters.
3. Durable: I have two, one at home and one at work. No problems with either for over a year.
4. Nice color scheme (not hugely important, but it's nice to have silver and blue instead of putty beige.) The Cons:
1. You have to use batteries on this one.
2. The red optical light is on all the time--if your computer is in your hotel room, you might find the blinking in the dark annoying. Seems stupid, but if you travel, this can be disconcerting. Then you have to take out the batteries to keep it from blinking all night.
3. It won't work on shiny surfaces--you need a mousepad, but what kind? Optical mice are kind of funny. Too dark, no good, too shiny, won't work. Supposedly you don't need a pad, but I find I prefer one. On the whole, I give this mouse a big thumbs-up for comfort and durability.
