Summary: Great Product
Review: My computer came with one of those clunky mice with the ball on the bottom. I hated that ball, and I hated the cords that came with it. So I got this. The optical precision is great, and you don't need a mouse-pad. You can move the mouse from your chair 10 feet away if you want to. Having no cords to get all tangled is great, too. The only problem is battery life. The batteries that come with it are supposed to last for 3 months. Good thing this mouse just uses regular AAs, or else it could get really expensive to use. If you hate your stupid ball mouse, you NEED this product

Summary: worth it
Review: Never having tried a cordless mouse before I didn't know what to expect. Connected by usb this mouse responds better than corded ps2. Battery life is very good (about three months). Installation is easy and works well with both win 98 and xp. Also, the mouse works very well with games-first person shooters and the like-which is very surprising. Getting one for my dad for christmas.

Review: Okay gang I've been using this mouse at work for nearly a year. I'm a software engineer and use it every day for 8 hours. It operates flawlessly. I don't go through batteries at all like some have mentioned. My solution is a couple sets of rechargeable batteries. They work like a charm! The first time your battery goes dead it's a little frustrating. The mouse stops moving and you think your machine is locked up. So if your mouse disappears or quits moving just slap in a fresh pair of batteries and you're on your way again. I just ordered a second one for my home PC that's how good they are.

Summary: A Mouse without a Tail
Review: Once you take this mouse home and start using it, you'll soon realize that it's one of the smartest purchases you'll have made this year. I can't tell you how much nicer it is using mouse without a cord attached to it, because it's less tiring. I can be 12 feet away from the receiver, and it still works like it was attached to the pc. I like the extra generous rounded palm swell, which supports the center of your palm much better than most designs nowadays. The wheel has just the right amount of friction; not too loose, not too tight and with good, quiet ratcheting clicks. The overall size is just right for extra-small to small hands. The handling is extremely precise, very fast, very sensitive and very responsive, so you might want to turn the setting down a bit. With two AA batteries in it, it weighs about the same as a corded Microsoft optical mouse. The only thing that I found "remotely" inconvenient is the lack of double-click speed adjustment once you download the settings driver. You really don't need to download the settings driver, so don't if you want to adjust the double-click speed. It's sturdily made, and will last and last.

Summary: Great mouse for begginers and advanced internet fanatics
Review: Optical mice are great, worth the money.
I recently bought this mouse to replace a microsoft mouse of similar style (cordless and optical) and it works great. I bought the microsoft mouse because it had the internet back and forward browswer buttons which is a great idea. After I installed the mouse i had a few conflicts my laptops touchpad (which i never had with any logitech mouse) and after trying to get everything to working the way i liked it to with my previous logitech (cordless but not optical) eventually my computer crashed and just wouldn't start. I had a do a system reboot and retore my comp to factory settings all because of the MS mouse. then i bought this mouse (which uses the same software as my old logitech) and it works beautifully, no problems yet, and my laptop touchpad also works the way i want it to. Once you go optical you never go back.

Summary: A nice mouse without the tangles
Review: The Logitech Cordless Optical Wheel Mouse (USB/PS2) works great. It works and feels like any other mouse without the cords getting in the way. I love this product. Battery life could be a bit better but other than that I would recommend it.

Summary: Better for a Tower than a Laptop
Review: This is a great mouse. Great tracking ability, long battery life...but the receiver is VERY clunky and large. That's not a big deal when you have a desktop computer with a lot of peripherals already, but when you're using a laptop and want to keep your workspace to a minimum, it's something to consider.Also, the logitech software you download to your computer gives little pop-up messages which I find extremely annoying, but may not bother other users.

Summary: Good Quality
Review: This is a sturdy, excellent quality mouse. I use it together with a gel mouse pad (although it doesn't need one) and working with it is a breeze. The mouse is kind of heavy, hence you get the feeling of the mouse gliding across the pad.
- You don't loose any prescision with wireless.
- The sturdy construction adds weight and gives the mouse the 'gliding' effect.
- USB 1.0 for a reliable 12 MB transfer speed or PS2 with the included adapter, but if you use the adapter you will loose the page scroll function in the middle wheel.
- The mouse sucks up to alkaline "AA" batteries per month, at least. I need to keep a 10 pack in my drawer to avoid annoyances.
- It's a Logitech mouse; you will only need to plug it in and the Windows system will automatically recognize your mouse and install the drivers for it (Win ME, 2000, or later). Overall I love this mouse and I would feel odd using anything else.

Summary: A very solid mouse
Review: This is a very solid mouse made by logitech - but probably not their best. While the battery life is excellent and the feel of the wheel and the buttons is also top notch, I find that the precision takes some getting used to. The *feel* of the mouse isn't as nice as some of the older, corded mice that logitech has produced. I however, was pleasantly surprised to find that there was no lag because of the wireless option. Be sure to get rid of that cloth mouse pad for something more solid - it really helps with the movement of this mouse.
