Summary: Must have for any mobile user
Review: This mouse is absolutely fantastic! The silver color nicely matches my Dell laptop (also available in Black, Blue, and Red) and it has nice quality "look and feel" to it. This product comes with two parts, the mouse and the receiver.

The receiver is about the size of a USB key, or maybe a bit smaller than your thumb. It does stick out from your laptop, but a little bit of awareness will prevent you from snapping it off. It is really not an issue unless you move your laptop around alot while you are using this device. It plugs into any open USB port, either 1.1 or 2.0. I have 2 USB ports one on top of the other, and the receiver is thin enough where it doesnt block the other port, as long as whatever you put in the other port isnt big either. I use a "Kensington PocketHub USB 2.0 Compact 4-Port Hub", which has a slim plug as well, in the 2nd port when i need to add additional USB items. I don't know what the maximum range of the receiver is, but as far away as i can sit and still reach the keyboard, it works just fine. The receiver uses the same "Fast RF" technology found in other Logitech mice, so performance is top notch (same or better than corded). It also doesn't interfere with an MX700 I have nearby on my desktop computer.

The 3-button mouse is useable by both righties and lefties. It is slightly smaller than a regular mouse, but bigger than most other notebook mice, so you don't have to "get used to it", and you can use it for long periods of time without getting annoyed by it. The optical sensor is accurate and works on any flat surface. I've even used on it my sofa without a hitch (the ultimate in comfort and laziness!). Their is a nice weight to it with the batteries installed. At first, I was a little concerned about using AA-batteries, but I've had this mouse going on 2 months and I havent had to replace them yet (altho i do have a spare set in my bag, just in case). The ON/OFF switch (which I forget to use sometimes) is a big help here, I'm sure.

Installation was a snap. I put the receiver in the USB port and Windows XP recognized it and installed itself in about a minute. I turned on the mouse (didn't have to hit the "Connect" buttons) and started using it right away. I would recommend installing the MouseWare software from Logitech as it adds a few tabs on the mouse properties screen (such as battery life, etc) that aren't otherwise accessible. The software however isn't necessary for use.

So, a long story short, this is a great mouse with good size, weight, performance, portability, and ease of use. My only suggestion for a change is that I wish it had more buttons, but currently none of the other notebook mice available have them either.

Summary: This mouse is great!
Review: This mouse is great. I just got it today (unfortunately at Staples, though). I am able to get it to work from roughly 20' away! I kid you not. Except for the fact that it uses 2 AAs (you can't really get away from that), you can't have a better mouse. The only change I'd make would be to have a recharging cradle to put it in when you get home, in addition to the USB transceiver that you carry with you during the day. But hey, you can't have everything.

This product comes with the mouse, 2 AAs (Duracell, too), the transceiver (the size of your USB Flash Key), and a zippered pouch to fit both (it has a little, inner pocket for the transceiver).

Summary: Works with Apple eMac
Review: Works with Apple eMac. Easy to set up: put the transmitter in a USB outlet and load the batteries in the mouse. Does not require reboot or changing any system settings. Optical tracking works very well on most surfaces.
