Summary: Absolutely a must-have!
Review: For those of you wondering how effective it would be to upgrade the memory in your PC, take my (and everyone else's) advice and DO IT!

For heavy internet surfers who view a lot of streaming audio and video content, you will see dramatic improvements in speed and hear your hard drive a lot less! One of my biggest frustrations with getting a cable modem (or DSL for others) was that my PC was then too slow to handle the large amounts of information coming at it at high speeds. Upgrading the memory has helped tremendously.

This product was easy to install and offered significant performance right outta the box - how many other products can you say that about? Not many!

Summary: A brief guide to finding and installing more memory (RAM)
Review: Getting more memory is one of the best ways to speed up your computer without buying a new one entirely. If you have 32 megabytes of memory (RAM - Random Access Memory) or less, then you should really consider getting this 128 megabyte memory upgrade. Among other things, your web-browsing experience will be better as you'll find that your computer is more responsive.

To find the right memory, make sure that you know what type of memory you can use. Find this out by either checking your computer manual, calling your manufacturer's customer support line, or checking on your manufacturer's web site. You should especially note whether your machine takes 100MHz RAM. If it doesn't, then you'll need to get RAM with another speed (usually 66MHz for machines made before 1999, or 133MHz on the latest 2001-made machines). Note that the number for RAM memory speed is different from your CPU speed (though they are both measured in 'MHz')

Once you have found that out, get the memory you need. 128 megabytes is a really good number. 64 megabytes will do okay. (Note that Microsoft's new operating system, Windows XP, requires at least 64 megabytes of RAM for itself)

Then, once you have the memory, follow the simple instructions on the box. Basically, you'll need to 1) open up your computer and 2) plug the memory into a 'slot'.

Opening up your computer is usually described in your computer manual. Plugging the memory into the slot is usually pretty easy as it's easy to find the right slot (make sure it clicks into place).

Turn your computer on and presto! You'll have a much more responsive experience. To check that it works, right-click on the 'My Computer' icon and select 'Properties'. A dialog box will appear with the amount of RAM listed on the bottom.

Enjoy your upgraded computer!

Summary: Great Quality Product!
Review: I have tried several different memory suppliers for memory to go into my Compaq Deskpro EN 450Mhz and none of them worked. UNTIL . . .I bought two of the Viking modules. As soon as I received the package I could see the difference that set Viking Components above the rest. Each module was ship in an antistatic bag and even had a website address for installation instructions.

The memory works wonderfully with my Compaq machine and I would highly recommend purchasing this product for your computer.

Summary: WOW!
Review: I read the reviews here before I purchased my Viking 128MB. But, I had no idea how fast it would really make everything run! I am very impressed. I had 32MB and now I have 160. The pages load soo quick. An example of this is the site where my husband visits regularly...MSN gaming zone. It used to take appx. 10-15 minutes to fully get into the game, after all pages loading. Now, it takes 2 minutes, if that!He is on and ready to play.Which means the sooner he gets in to play , the sooner he'll be done and its all mine! lol=) This is a wonderful product and it is very simple to install.

Summary: Serious Gamers MUST have 128MB of RAM and above
Review: I used to have 64MB of RAM for ages and thought to double and see the difference. I wasn;t sure how noticable it will be but trust me you will see the difference.

The 2 main differences from upgrading from 64 to 128 are:

1) Games will load quicker (levels, and startup) 2) There will be less Hard disc activity when playing: this means that there will less jerkovision as the processor executes from memory rather than slower hard disc.

You can nver have enough RAM!! Its q worthy upgrade from 64 to 128.
